    The fact that one of the first things he said to the officers when they asked about what he was doing the day his parents died was “I was driving back from Vegas and there will be credit card transactions and phone records” is very telling of how he thought out what to say

      Yea, it was so suss that he explained his alibi to the cops. Like who does that? Your parents are dead and instead of appearing to grieve your parents you're breaking down what time you were where and what time your phone was on and off? Dodgy!

    • @xen0bia
      @xen0bia 2 года назад +36

      Yeah, when you're so very oddly specific about timeframes (down the freakin' minute) when you should only be vaguely remembering as you wouldn't normally be making such mental notes in real circumstances (unles you have some OCPD or something), or go into details about seemingly mundane things or places to make *especially* sure you can't be placed at the scene of the crime and essentially exonerate yourself, something an actual innocent person wouldn't necessarily be thinking of doing under the tragic circumstances and emotions, it's suss AF. It's not definitive evidence, of course, but I'm certainly going to investigate you a lot more closely now.

    • @kenyattaclay7666

      I don’t actually put much credence in that at all. I actually think people put way too much on things like that because it can go both ways. I’ve seen where someone struggled to give an alibi & the police say that’s what made them think someone is guilty. I prefer hearing actual evidence like buying the bat & shoes at the Nike store. Also, he didn’t say it here but they had proof that he was lying about his phone habits.

Way too calm and collected four days after his parents were brutally killed. A knife attack in the home is typically a very personal kill to the murderer. His mother receiving the more savage wounds also tends to show a relative. I would still be in shock four days later; yet he acted like he was waiting for the cashier to redeem his inheritance ticket.

I just wonder if something like that will ever even be possible. It's just interesting theoretical questions. If money wasn't a thing - how would you get an un attached hit man to murder a partner? Would you even go through the effort if there wasn't a life insurance payout? But also how would I get food with no farming skills? lol I do hope someone much smarter than me comes up with some kind of better system someday and star trek will be reality but obviously it's not going to be in my lifetime. 🤣

I mean if they're lending them $20 or something I can see their son/daughter paying it back or reciprocating some other way but a large sum? Guess it depends on your parents of course but typically rich parents (or even just well off ones for that matter) might give their kid(s) money to go to school, buy a car, buy a house, but most don't ask for it to be repaid.
      In any event his mom was right, he never should have been "professionally gambling" given he was losing a lot and not really making enough money to support his lifestyle and his kid/family from the looks of it. It's like the old saying goes...

    Happy Friday, That Chapter fans! I live in the SF Bay Area and I was unaware of this story until today. Pleasanton is in the East Bay, not central CA. We consider central CA to be Merced, San Joaquin, Sacramento, Yolo, Fresno, etc counties. Basically, if you live more than 2 hours from the coast and close to Interstate 5 and Hwy 99 (and therefore closer to the Nevada border), then that's central CA. Just my input from someone who grew up in the 650.
    ETA: he looks familiar. I probably flipped him off while driving on hwy 92.

    There was another bad murder in Pleasanton. I can’t remember the names but a HS girl was killed by a fellow classmate because he had been bullied. Not by her, he was just lashing out. I think it was one of those that took decades to solve because of DNA. Hang on. Let me look it up. Edit: Tina Faelz. It was creepy too because she missed the bus and to get home she had to travel through a long tunnel under the freeway. 😱 He ambushed her in there. 😢

      I'm thinking there has to be more to this story than just the little warranty card for the bat--I mean that could have come from any Nike merchandise I'd think. Were his prints on it, did he just have no bat to show for the transaction he made at the Nike store (because he disposed of it), or something else? Seems a bit of a stretch to be the "one piece of evidence that nailed him".

I hope I am never murdered or have to solve a murder, but, kinda like watching a cooking show I kinda wanna know what to do during a grease fire.
