As always - great to be journeying along with you John and Beth. And, the coffee is great! Been enjoying it for a week or more since getting home. Exactly as advertised, notes of maple syrup and cocoa. haha Definitely a fan.

I am so silly. We have been using a gen set, solar panels, 100ah batteries, and just no I got the bright idea to use M18 batteries. Took me long enough.
But we also use our Starlink for our security cameras and to let people know that we are in contact with our friends when we are camping out of cell service.
People who may otherwise cause us grief leave us alone when they realize the CTV cameras are broadcasting live to the cloud.

Brilliant. We did the same (used Starlink for CCTV connectivity) till we got highspeed internet recently. So good - being able to keep eyes on key parts of the property and have the video stored on the cloud when away.
It's not perfect, but its more of a deterent than would otherwise be the case.

Just got back from a 3,000 mile trip to Northern California and back and had great connectivity. Actually uploaded some YouTuve shorts along the way.
      Thanks for tuning in!

@@howardkettner hope it's not rude to ask but what did the tesla equipment cost & did you have to get the $500/mo service for such great coverage or is there another less expensive option that works just as well here on the west coast?

@@AbuelitaPaloma Just going from memory here but Starlink runs about $800 Canadian - and the monthly subscription - all taxes in is about $190 CDN - but the magic is that if you don't need it for a month, or two, or longer, you can suspend the subscription, thus reducing costs to about $35/month CDN.
Just check out Starlink.com/roam for more detailed and accurate info.
All the very best - and let me know if any other questions.
      Hope this was helpful.
PS - just checked out your YT channel. Seems that like my wife Coral you have a love of horses . . .

You would get more energy time if you chage everything you can to 12v, like the starlink , your laptop, etc
