Part 2: What do we need to take care of?

Procrastinate no more…
Let’s not put off what we can do today.
“Allow no sleep to your eyes, no slumber to your eyelids.” (‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭6‬:‭4‬)
We can live a life of sleepwalking or embrace the journey of faith each day. May we wake up from “our sleeping” and have a spiritual awakening. While a small speck can turn into a mess when not taken care of, a healthy seed can grow into a fruit bearing tree.
Ultimately we decide what we grow in our lives.
“(for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord. Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. But everything exposed by the light becomes visible-and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. This is why it is said: “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” Be very careful, then, how you live-not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭5‬:‭9‬-‭20)
Let’s pray…
Dear God, You are love. Open our eyes to the sin in our lives. Wake us up from any sleeping. Help us face it how you would have us face it. May we tell the truth and confess it, facing what you call us to face. Expose the lies and darkness. Open eyes and hearts to receive it. Guide us to repent & be transformed. Help us discern between good & evil, right & wrong in a world that has distorted. “I am your servant; give me discernment that I may understand your statutes.” (Psalm‬ ‭119‬:‭125) Today I pray to abide in You and to do what pleases you in a way that shines your light even in dark times and places. May we all walk in your truth & love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
