I don’t think anyone has played this part as good since Margaret Hamilton. Very similar characterizations but Eartha’s voice is lower and feels more menacing whereas Margaret’s was unhinged.
I’ve been looking for a version of this Wizard of Oz with Eartha Kitt! I got to see her perform this when I was a kid! It seemed like all recordings I could find had Roseanne as the Witch and not Eartha. I’m glad there’s one somewhere! I’d be so grateful if you could share the rest.

She’s perfect for the role yet plays it completely differently from Margaret Hamilton. She softens her voice in several places and it’s super creepy and unsettling. Makes for a perfect wicked witch!

I bet the melting scene was hilarious, you know, the way Eartha screams always makes me laugh. She even made me laugh when she voiced Yzma.
