By chance, I had all the ingredients at home and tried the recipe. A light and tasty meal, good for hot days. Greetings from polish ZS team.
that is awesome, Greetings from Stuttgart :)
I find grapes are a good alternative to watermelon. They still pack a lot of sweetness, moisture, and fiber. Personally cut the stevia to 10g, but it was delicious! I would add fresh mint next time! An excellent recipe, thank you!
Thank you! I'm allergic to watermelon and needed an alternative
Grapes are calorie dense so watch out if you're counting calories
Love the different ingredients. Specially the water melon. Nicely done my friend!
Thanks mate!
Looks great! I make a version of this but add non-fat yogurt and sometimes sugar free vanilla pudding mix ~10 g. The yogurt makes it creamier and adds protein, the pudding mix will add some more vanilla flavor but also makes the consistency a little thicker. These will of course add calories but try them out! Keep up the great vids !!
Thanks mate, that sounds amazing!
Thanks coach Greg ; ) great idea adding ginger!
I never comment but got to share my version with you guys. It is insane how this tastes!
My recipe:
- 150g Watermelon
- 60 frozen mango
- 1/2 lemon
- 20g erythrit
- 20g whey mango lassi
- 125g ice
- some watermelon chunks for the finished cream
Enjoy!
Nice one!
freeze the melon!
I've been able to fit 18 mangos in my freezer thus far, still got 42 to go... Really impressive how you got this done!

This recipe is absolutely amazing
Thank you :)
It is thicker/better with casein protein. And you can freeze it but you'd need to let it thaw out for a bit before eating. I think it's best if you put into smaller "ready to eat" containers so that you can have them thawed post-workout rather than having to wait.
Did you try it with casein? I was thinking of trying it but I don't have a ninja and was worried it might break it😅 but I was thinking it'd be better with casein.
@@adom9463 it is 100% better with casein protein than whey isolate. You can taste the difference. Casein is naturally thicker like a pudding, and isolate is more watery
Again, great recipe, now did mine much closer to your recipe, though I omitted guar gum... and the result is very enjoyable shake, that you can drink with a straw from glass. Try it! It works very well too!
2 liters of ice cream for 358 calories + 50 grams of protein? By allah I'll give into the slop
wanted somehting iwht good protein and low calorie for the cut, didnt think i could finish 2 liters of this shit in one sitting, but that cut got me feelin a lil hungry. it's great to keep u full, high protein, and tastes delicious. Ty bro
Looks more like a milkshake
better yet, freeze your watermelon! 700g watermelon is only 200 calories! and watermelon yields the best ice cream consistency ive ever had in vanilla and chocolate flavor ice creams. its a neutral enough flavor. not too much liquid, and casein protein powder is crucial, as well as some guar gum. highly, highly recommend. casein will also yield not quite as much volume but the density and consistency will be way better IMO
Interesting recipe I'll have to give it a try.
Nice! I didnt expect watermelon
Thanks, watermelon is super cool for these ice creams!
Wow
greattt
🙌
Great video
So maybe you can help me…does xanthan gum work as a thickening agent? Cuz that’s what I have at my house
Xanthan gum is also thickening but it will also make it a bit fluffier in my experience.
I don’t think my blender would be grind enough for this
Yeah you def need a Ninja for this
I wonder if making half the amount shown would make your blender happier.
Can you please advise what Ninja Blender model you are using? Thanks in advance!
Can you skip the ginger?
Can i use xantham gum instead of guar gum??
yes!
@@Felu so i reduced the quatitiy of it to 1/2 to 1/4???
Some really think fruit is the devil because of “fructose” bruh it’s so low in calories though
I don't ever have to use guar gum or xanthan gum. My anabolic ice creams are always perfect with just protein powder, milk and frozen fruit plus sweetener.
Can you tell me the amount of everything you put in for one batch?
Because the whey protein already has emulsifiers
Hey, can anyone help me make chocolate ice cream in the same way? would be much appreciated, thanks!
I imagine you could just do the same thing, but use chocolate protein powder no?
Has anyone tried it with soy protein powder?
Soy is not good for health and mainly not good for men at all. Soy increases women hormones and decreases testostorone

What would be an alternative to water melon now that summer is gone?
Good question, I think I would just use frozenfruit instead like mango or more strawberries
@@Felu Thanks, Felu!
you dont need the garlic, the ice or the sugar. Use 2 frozen bananas instead, and the whey protein has stevia already.

Protein Fluff...
Its actually not a ice cream consistency at all.
If you add in 60g of protein powder, why or how did this become 50g of protein??
Another great recipe Felu! If you could make a video for a low calorie ice cream that i can keep in the freezer, that would be a godsend! When i want to eat ice cream, it is late in the evening, and i can not torture my neighbours that late with my blender.. :)
Looks good but this is a smoothie not ice cream
Did mine with what I had:
- 200g of ice cubes,
- 40g whey vanilla,
- 15g erythrit,
- 15g frozen mango :D
- 80g frozen raspberry,
- juice from 1 lemon,
- teaspoon of rice flour as thickener.
It came out a little on bitter side (I guess from crushed raspberry seeds), but I will keep experimenting with the base. I wish watermelons were smaller, which would make buying them easier for me. Also, don't their seeds get crushed and also spoil the flavour? I will most likely get frozen berries of strawberries next. Also, this recipe has finally pushed me to get a Vitamix blender, so thank you for that! :D
Wonderful recipe! The watermelon is kinda expensive here so I'm going to try it with almond milk to see how that turns out
You could also substitute a different fruit for the watermelon.
I already get enough protein. Can somebody make regular ice cream with that much volume, but lower calories?
I made it, and other than ginger making it taste like homeless guy's diarrhea, and having a texture of a foam - not icecream, it's aight. Just don't use ginger.
How long did you blend it for and does your blender run continuously or does it stop at the 1minite mark?
is there an innovation on this recipe where we can store the ice cream?
Amazing and simple recipe, thanks 👌
