Banana, a bit of organic apple juice to make it creamy and add sweet. Fresh mint. Blend till smooth. Add dark chocolate chips. Pulse blend till your preferred chunks. 🎉

I love hearing that you and your mom enjoyed it so much, and gave it a try with avocado! It's a fantastic way to replace some (or all) of the bananas for sure giving its similar creamy texture. Thanks so much for giving it a try!
Found your channel recently and have been loving it! I love how you take a basic recipe and add so much flavor and variety to it while also adding hacks in there to help if viewers are following along! Can’t wait to see what you come out with next!
Wow, thank you so much for the kind comments! I appreciate the feedback and am so glad to hear you’re enjoying the videos. Thank you for the support! 😀
This is a spectacular recipe. I didn't know it would be so easy. I just added dark chocolate and a few nuts and it is so tasty. No more store bought ice cream for me. Definitely sharing with others.
Awesome! Yes it's super easy to customize these with simple add-ins, according to your tastes. Thanks for sharing and for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed them!
Wow! Wow! Wow! Made the chocolate without peanut butter and it was amazing! Better than regular store bought. Picky hubby loved it! And couldn’t be easier. Bye bye traditional ice cream!!! Thank you!
Amazing to hear that! I'm so glad it turned out so well for you - I'm a big fan of the chocolate flavour as well 😀 thanks for sharing and for giving it a try!
Our fams favourite! frozen bananas ( which I usually have loads over ripe ones in the freezer) pure cocoa powder and plain/ Greek yoghurt, I sometimes throw in some mixed nuts/ home made peanut butter/ store brought (depends on what we can get - not fussy on that part) raisins/ dates for sweetness…
Hello! I recently make soursop icecream using the same procedure by freezing the soursop. I added dried raisins & prunes. Next time i aware i could use cinnamon and vanilla extract too.😊🇯🇲
Interesting! I've never tried it with soursop before - that's such a great idea, I'll have to see if I can give it a try sometime! Thanks so much for sharing and for watching!
I have tried both the berry and banana and the chocolate ice cream and they both turned out amazing! This might have been the first time i have liked chocolate ice cream. Truly incredible video, thank you so much for inspiring me ❤
I made your berry ice cream recipe but instead of almond milk i used condensed milk, it was amazing, with great smoothness and consistency, and taste great too! Thank you for sharing this with us 🎉🎉😊😊
Yum, yum, yum😋 I think my favorite it the blue berries and bananas because it was so much blue berries and I love blueberries ❤ But the lime and mint banana was very surprising and interesting, gave me some ideas😊
I made the strawberry and the chocolate peanut butter and it was so good. For the strawberry, I used a little more strawberries and it tasted like strawberry ice cream. The chocolate was my favorite. I used a little more cocoa powder and peanut butter it tasted just like chocolate ice cream. I really couldn’t taste any banana flavor. Just a hint. It is really creamy and delicious. This is a healthier alternative to ice cream. I suggest halving the recipe to see if you like it first. It does make a lot.
Truly love these recipes tried it tonight banana and strawberries frozen. Vanilla Extract maple syrup and I use cream about tbsp of it alongside sugar free vanilla syrup just as an added flavor was yummy!

A recipe I didn't know I needed, thanks! I usually don't care much about calories, but focus on healthy or non-processed ingredients, and your recipe fulfills this for me. 😁
I'm with you on that one! I definitely try to focus on nutritious, natural, whole foods as much as I can as an alternative to heavily processed store-bought foods that often have unwanted additives in them. Although I can understand those who have calories as a focus as well if their goal is weight management. Thanks so much for watching!
Thanks so much for watching! Hope you enjoy giving these a try. I've listed the two blenders that I use in the video description box - one is a Vitamix and the other is a Nutribullet. Feel free to check them out there if you'd like!
Absolutely! You can try using ripe avocados as well for a similar creamy texture (with lemon juice to prevent it from browning). Let me know if you do give it a try!
I've loved making ice cream for years and every now and then I do a banana base when I want to cut down on the junk. But I think I have some sort of special sensitivity to banana flavor because I always hear about how neutral it is so you can add any other flavor to it to mask it, and for me personally I can always taste the banana at least a bit. It always tastes like banana with other things added haha. Same goes for anything else that similarly uses bananas for a base; I've had and baked cakes, breads, etc. that way and it always ends up tasting like banana to me. I like bananas so it's not a big turn off, but I'd love it if I could really taste it minimally enough to consider it a true substitute.
I always find it fascinating how everyone has such different palettes and we all taste things so differently. But I think that's the beauty of food, and home cooking - we can all make things that suit our own unique and individual tastes and sensitivities 😀 Thanks for watching and for the comment!
@@toastyapron Agreed, it's always interesting how diverse people's palettes are. This was my first time coming across one of your videos, but I checked out some of your other videos and subscribed. Keep up the good work, looking forward to more!

There are even recipes for ice cream made of cauliflower! People swear it's delicious, but I tried and didn't like it so I guess everyone has to try themselves
Oh my goodness yes, I freeze my bananas all the time I make homemade ice cream I use sometime a little heavy cream or sometimes half-and-half and put a little vanilla extract and like you said, you can add berries with it or chocolate cocoa powder. I make it so many different ways. I like it soft as soon as I make it I eat it it’s all gone. It’s delicious, don’t need to freeze it when it’s soft ice cream is delicious make it fresh all the time you can add yogurt to it if you like there’s many ways to make it just make frozen bananas and a little bit of milk of your kind or yogurt and you got some ice cream
Absolutely! It's so versatile, frozen bananas are literally one of my favourite foods to mix ingredients with. Thanks for sharing your feedback and thanks for watching!
I’m looking for healthier recipes to use with my 1L Ice cream maker which has a built in compressor freezer. Maybe blending four (non frozen) bananas with about 600ml of Almond milk might do it. It needs to be a cream like consistency to be able to churn and gradually freeze. Might be a case of trial and error at first to see what works 👌 Great inspiring ideas 👍
Thanks so much for watching! I haven't tried using an ice cream maker myself, but if you do give it a try I'd love to hear how it turns out for you! Thanks for watching!
:) I just made a bunch yesterday actually. I found small jars, slightly different than the gem jars but worked even better. I made banana with pineapple and a little homemade vanilla extract. The bananas were so ripe I didn’t need to anything else. I also made raspberry banana as well. I added raw honey to that. I made a batch of peach ice cream as well but without the bananas. I used peaches, whipping cream, a can of condensed milk and vanilla extract. And lastly I made coconut ice cream with coconut milk, sweetened shredded coconut, honey and vanilla extract. I froze the coconut milk in an ice tray and that helped to get the creamy texture. All delicious. I’m ready for summer now :) so glad I came across your video.

Hi there! Great question - as a substitute, you may want to try using ripe avocados (with lemon juice to prevent it from browning) instead of bananas. They offer a similar creamy texture that works great for ice cream. You may have given me an idea for a future video! Thanks for watching and I hope that helps!
Can use whip cream beat till high peak , freeze and blend with the banana ( blended and frozen ) That will make the ice cream more tasty and less banana strong flavor !
My grandmother and I always enjoyed bananas everyday. We always kept them cuz it was my favorite fruit. Never knew you could do so much with bananas. I always felt cheated when I ate Banana flavored candy 😂 I will try this recipe, in moderation though.

Thanks so much I appreciate the comment and the support! And those sound like great add-ins - I'd love to hear how they turn out for you! Thanks for watching 😀
Hey there! While I haven't tried it yet myself, you can try mixing together frozen bananas, milk, a splash of pure peppermint extract (perhaps start with 1/8 tsp and add more as needed, to taste), and 1-2 tbsp of chocolate chips (or more as desired). Give that a try and let me know what you think!
Toasty I've done this recipe twice (the base one) except I did it in an old blender (a moullinex only start on and off blender) and with half of the ingredients and the bananas second time were perfectly yellow and ripe but it turned out as a brownish color and it didn't turn out super smooth like yours. Why is that?
Hi there! Sorry to hear it didn't turn out so well - can you clarify what you mean by the bananas turned out as a brownish colour? At what point did they turn brown? And if it didn't turn out super smooth, how did the texture turn out? Was it very chunky? If so, you may just need a more powerful blender - I imagine it's having a tough time blending the frozen bananas smoothly enough.
i don't even think you need a blender ... just tip everything in a baking bowl and smoosh it all up with a wooden rolling pin etc ... fab video btw!!! xxx

Definitely going to try this fir my family!!! Thank you for the share.
Awesome! Thanks so much for watching and hope you and your family enjoy giving them a try!
My grandmother and I always enjoyed bananas everyday. We always kept them cuz it was my favorite fruit. Never knew you could do so much with bananas. I always felt cheated when I ate Banana flavored candy 😂 I will try this recipe, in moderation though.
Bananas are certainly a very versatile food! They're one of my favourites 😀 thanks so much for watching!
Looks great and I've made this however still need to limit because its too easy to over eat and bananas are high in sugar
use in ice creme bar molds too w/wood sticks.
I have a Yonanas, 1/2 a frozen banana a handful of berries in tge top, turn on and out comes a swirly creamy, soft serve type frozen treat!
Sounds delicious! I'm glad you enjoyed it so much! Thanks for watching!
I make this, I add grass fed pouring cream and it comes out like banana gelato… delish… do it in a food processor but, so much better than a blender.
That's a great tip - thanks for sharing and for watching!
Thank you , no b.s straight to the goods !

Your ice cream looks really good to me. I make my own ice cream, but I know yours is healthier. Do you ever do a Lactose Free ?
Hi there! This recipe is lactose free - just make sure to stick to using a dairy-free milk (e.g. soy, almond, oat, etc)! Thanks for watching!
@@toastyapron I love Oat milk. I know it's really good for me too.
@@toastyapron Your welcome ! I love your channel !! ❤️❤️
Yaaay my fav little channel is making videos! I just made your chia seed puding today and it was a winner. Do you have more time to make videos now?
Thank you so much for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed the chia pudding recipe! And yes, I am back to making new content! Unfortunately each video is quite a long process for me to produce, film, and edit - and takes quite a lot of time and effort to ensure they're of the highest quality. But I will try my best to come out with as many more new videos as I can, as long as I know others out there enjoy them and find them helpful! Appreciate your support!
You're doing a GREAT Job!😋@@toastyapron

Hello, can I use a different milk that's not almond? Like regular whole milk or skim milk?
Yes you can certainly use whatever milk you like! Thanks for watching!
Do you have a recipe for mint chocolate chip ice cream? Thanks for these recipes.
Wonder if you can add some heavy cream to that? Would it be too much liquid?
i don't even think you need a blender ... just tip everything in a baking bowl and smoosh it all up with a wooden rolling pin etc ... fab video btw!!! xxx
