Another great Tennessee State Park! After 9 months, we finally made it back to Tennessee at our home base. Of course we are only here temporarily for a very brief period before we head north. I see someone else here in the chat has answered about the coins. A way to show respect that they were visited and each coin has a different meaning. Great video guys!

Beautiful park! Not to be confused with Trace State Park outside Tupelo Mississippi along the Natchez Trace which also adds to Mississippi's History as within the park was once called the home of one America's early and colorful pioneers, Davy Crockett. Crockett lived here as a horse trader with the Chickasaw Indians after his defeat for re-election to Congress in his home state of Tennessee. It was while living here he learned of his friend, Sam Houston's plight in Texas and traveled there to help and was later killed in the Battle of the Alamo.

Is it free if you’re a resident or free, free? 😂😂. If so, that’s amazing. They have a huge lodge. Nice. Great Jeep trails. Looks like fun. Lots of mud that day to splash around in. The coins definitely mean something. Different ones mean different things, but the only one I know is pennies mean you visited and just want the family to know, or something like that. The others I think they have meanings about how they served together or knew each other in training. Campgrounds looks like we could fit in it; except for the primitives of course. That’s a lot of trails. Poor Bella. 😂❤.

Someone else told us what the pennies and the nickels and the dimes all meant. They're all something a little different. It's very interesting. Thanks for watching and safe travels. 😊

A coin left on a headstone lets the deceased soldier's family know that somebody stopped by to pay their respect. A penny means you visited. A nickel means you and the deceased veteran trained at boot camp together. A dime means you and the deceased veteran served together in some capacity. That could be extended. Great park and video.

Coins are left in reverence. Usually in found on Jewish markers, but I'm sure it's used by others as just a way to say..."Hey, I was here and visited,"

I don't think there's a difference in insight and out-of-state camping. Not a 100% positive on it. We don't remember them asking for our Tennessee Driver's license. Also, if you're a singer, you can get 25% off the camping fee. It's 62 plus. Save travels, my friend.. 😊
