i just read about her family and wow!! her dad was a renowned alumni and professor at IIT madras and also a professor in San Diego University. her mom's a provost and molecular biologist in university of california. her great aunt is India's oldest active professors. Her paternal grandfather seems to have been a professor in IIT Madras as well, with a prize in his own name. WOW.
