This disaster of a dresser has been transformed into a beautiful piece of furniture !! ❤ The checkerboard pattern really makes it 👍 Fun watching you test out new paint ! Congratulations on an instant sale too !!
I had to smile…reed diffusers were all the rage about 20 years ago. It was the go-to gift there for awhile. It’s cool to see them revived by the ‘next generation’.
It looks so good! Love the color, and especially the checkerboard drawers. I've been stalled for months on making over an Ikea dresser, and this makeover has really motivated me to get back to my flip. Thank you, as always, for your clear steps for getting the best results!
Such a lovely color! Great job! I use BIN primer often for its great coverage. I found that ammonia is an excellent cleaner to remove the primer from skin and brushes… just melts it away easily and is very inexpensive! 😀
I am thinking you may be coming out with your own brand of paint? * Looks so cute, I can just imagine how fun it wold be to have ppl share the piece they buy after they put it in their home for your viewers to see. Fun to see how great it looks in their space. Blessings
I know you probably get tired of people critiquing your work. Well…I’m not going to do that lol, I love ur channel & appreciate all the info and inspo you give 🫶🏻. I have a TIP that I learned yrs ago, for small dimples, dents or superficial scratches in wood... Iron them out! I use a damp towel & a steam iron. Run the steam over them. Let wood dry naturally so it can expand back. This is great if you want to stain instead of paint. 😉
I would make sure to paint that back middle support. It was very white showing after the first coat and would be noticably white if standing at the wrong spot.
That is so cute. I love it. Some paints are not meant to be self leveling, but a lot of different paint brands have both a chalk/mineral/clay type and also the kind with built-in leveling stuff. It is definitely a different and look and it wants to be so long as people just appreciate that they’re getting a different kind of paint and understand that it will have a different look then it can be great. I have enjoyed working with the clay and the all in one paints. Totally different , both are great.
Love the color reminds me of a Ford 1975 truck my brother had we alway called it baby blue. But what I caught on on your naughty dresser( notty) lol is the paint 🤔 your working on perfecting the self leveling 😏 ahuh!! You're creating a paint line that's it!!!
Great job! Looks beautiful! I thought you were going to rip off the paper and reveal the paint you used. Inquiring minds wanna know! lol Thanks for sharing!
Hiii thank you for your video! I just bought the same dresser & it needs a lot of work as well haha. What products would you recommend ? I want to keep the same white coat finish
Love the check! You really turned that IKEA dresser around. I was very surprised to hear that IKEA dressers are snatched up ASAP when posted on FB Marketplace. It is strange because someone told either Goodwill or Habitat ReStore won’t even take used IKEA furniture….don’t know why.
I think in order for this paint to be self leveling the paint needs to put on thicker. Brush as long a stroke as you can with the paint that’s on the brush without going back and forth. Then dip the brush and paint the rest of the stroke or a new one. My house painter showed me this technique on ceiling molding. It works well and coverage is better.
You do great work, I really enjoy your videos and have learned so much from you ❤, but may I suggest gloves? Resale items, you just cannot know what they have been in contact with. Hearing protection is great, but just a gentle reminder about germs also.
Loved how the checker pattern came out! I am guessing you are going to be launching your own paint collection or working with a brand to have a line with them. Either way, best wishes 🙏🙌
Lauren, can you please let us hear how loud your combo-dust extractor and sander sound??? I’m using my shop vac with my sander now but have been considering your combo. It would be nice to know how loud it is. Love your work ethic!❤
Wish you would always wax inside dressor drawers back and bottom as others tend to do there is a bee wax with the smell of orange that's popular especially at the higher price points you sell at just I thought 😊
If everyone that view her content would stop an “like” the content ,,,wow What a difference 1600 views and 200+ likes🤔 As usual you did a fantabulous job!!!!
If you haven't purchased one of their reed diffusers, you're missing out!!! They're AMAZING!!!
awe thanks! glad you love yours! 🫶🏼

That checker design was the perfect chef's kiss to that dresser.
Thank you!!

Fun watching you test out new paint !
Congratulations on an instant sale too !!
thanks so much for your support and for watching!
Not sure if you use it but I always add Flotrol to my paint to increase levelling of the paint I am using. It works quite well.
I had to smile…reed diffusers were all the rage about 20 years ago. It was the go-to gift there for awhile.
It’s cool to see them revived by the ‘next generation’.
Another beautiful job. You are such a hard worker, such attention to detail

@@FurnitureFlippingTeacheryay!!!!
My guess also😊
So happy to see you work with an IKEA piece. I have one I’ve been unsure what to do to it. Thanks for the idea💕💕
Love the checkers. The colors looks so clean. Great Job!
Glad you like them!
Kudos on the paint job; really nice job on the checker style. Really stepping up your game!
The drawer pulls you picked really set it off. Great job. Should sell fast!!!
Watch til the end! It SOLD!
It looks like a lovely nursery piece to me.
Such a lovely color! Great job! I use BIN primer often for its great coverage. I found that ammonia is an excellent cleaner to remove the primer from skin and brushes… just melts it away easily and is very inexpensive! 😀
Looks so good. It would make a beautiful baby dresser. Great job Lauren. 💖
Yes! Thank you!
Adorable, and the hardware is a great choice.
Need to change out the drawer liner paper. You did that on some pieces this year and it really makes it complete and professional.
yes sometimes I do and sometimes I dont (:
Turned out beautiful. A great choice. ❤

Loved this dresser, and it’s even better for your friend to get it 👏👏👏
Yes! She will love it! Thanks!!
Very Cute!! I’ve done a couple of Black & White checkerboard tables and a pair of stools. Sold very well!
Fun! I love the look!

All I want for Christmas is a FFT t-shirt. 🎄😊
I would make sure to paint that back middle support. It was very white showing after the first coat and would be noticably white if standing at the wrong spot.
Super cute! Love the pattern and choice of blue.
Wow that’s gorgeous!
Love the checkerboard detail and the colours!
Wow! That turned out so cool!
I have this dresser in black and I bought the same knobs to make it pop.
Good job and colour
I think that was adorable
thank you!

Totally agree!!
Your own paint line 😊
😏
Stunning! Love the creativity!

👍👍👍

I, absolutely love this look!!!
I like the original Ikea white stain that shows the grain of pine wood, its a simple clean beautiful satin mat finish. I would've just cleaned it.
I'm on the west coast and we have two Ikeas nearby so I am so amused Ikea is such a hot item😂. Sounds like Ikea needs to expand to fly over country.
That's GORGEOUS!!!
You can use water based paint over oil shellac?
That looks beautiful
Yes you can!
Yes! As long as the oil based is dry before you apply the water based 🤩
Bin primer isnt oil based. It is alcohol based. Denatured alcohol. You can look it up if you want.
Really really cute….❤
You are going to be creating ypu own paint line! I know it! ❤❤❤
🤭
I would love to see a piece of furniture a hunter green color!
I have done some that color green before!!
You’re bringing back my TSC days with that vest. 😂
lol I had to 🤣
Nice outcome. Love it. I didn't know you could paint over oil-based primer with water-based chalk paint. Interesting.
For sure! As long as you let it completely dry before applying!
Nice job! That looks amazing!
Glad you love it!
In my area Ikea stuff is plenitful on MP. But nobody wants it🤷. This is a great idea to make it a bit less IKEA-like.
It would look lovely in a baby boys nursery❤❤
So excited for you 🌲
Love❤❤❤❤the color❣
Very very nice!
Super fresh!
Gorgeous

Weird! They go like hot cakes here esp if priced well!
One design has a tipping hazard and the help at many places aren’t in the position to discern the styles and so all is turned away.
When’s the wedding? You 2 are so good together 😊

I like the blue not a fan of the checks on the top drawers but it will look good in a nursery.
my best friend ended up buying it 😊
Which sander machine you used?
Lauren, can you please let us hear how loud your combo-dust extractor and sander sound??? I’m using my shop vac with my sander now but have been considering your combo. It would be nice to know how loud it is. Love your work ethic!❤
It’s not horribly loud! But I did just get these Bluetooth ear protection headphones and they are so good & protect your hearing! Linked below!
Absolutely 💯 beautiful! There isn't anything you do that I don't like. You do an awesome job.
Cute for a nursery
New paint line?
I would have to spray cleaner right on to that scrub and see the bubbles haha
Bubbles are all over! Haha
very cute lauren
I was a little dubious until you redid the checks. It looks amazing!
Nice new look!!!😊🎉❤
Thanks!
So glad you didn't paint it dark
Beautiful color! There is no visible texture on the piece ... Maybe you need to watter it down a little... Thanks so much for sharing
Cute!
What paint did you use?
its a secret 🤫
I have that very dresser downstairs in my grandson room. Don’t know how they get that dirty. Talk to my grandson! 🙄 I’m not kidding.
Trick is to hammer the pliars with the screw in. That’s why it’s flat there 😜🌸
So cute! Reminds me of Alice in Wonderland. Beautiful job!
Thank you! Cheers!
Wish you would always wax inside dressor drawers back and bottom as others tend to do there is a bee wax with the smell of orange that's popular especially at the higher price points you sell at just I thought 😊
I do when the drawers are made of wood 🤗
Job well done period 👏🏻👍💕🇯🇲
I like the colour of the knobs, but I think they should be square.
Ahh! I like the contrast 😏 but square would work too!
I heard someware that if you have dents on unfinished wood, you can get rid of them with a steam iron. 😮
Nice! Not sure if it would work on a gouge but maybe a dent!
Love it! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Developing your own “fournir” line of paint? 😊 👏 ❤
🤫
You’re in the process of creating your own paint.
🤭
Use less hardner for more work time with the bondo
Cut your screws under a towel to prevent them from flying haphazardly!
How do you get the smell of moth balls out of bureau drawers
❤❤
