Ah, nostalgia is strong with these games, especially the first KH. It was the first game I got with my PS2 during Christmas '01 after I had opened all of my gifts (parents pulled the classic "oh there's one more thing). They set up an easter-like hunt to find the system and the game...every time I'd think I was at the end another clue sent me somewhere else. Finally once I reached the end the system and this glorious game were waiting there for me...I'll never forget that. Long live Kingdom Hearts (and hurry up KH3)

I'm so glad Riku changed after this game. I couldn't stand the whole superiority complex, jealousy towards Sora, "I'm be best" attitude. And he was SO easily manipulated and just became even more annoying keeping Kairi from Sora and taking the keyblade....
It was frustrating. You wanted him to change & come back so bad. This is what makes the game so perfect. You had that motivation to play & it just makes the end of kh2 so satisfying :)

You know what's weird; Out of the 3, Riku's the only one who didn't end up with a Nobody. I mean sure, he gave in to the darkness, and was overshadowed by Ansem, but he didn't exactly become a heartless, ergo no Nobody.
It's the best, but it looks like Disney is turning some lovable characters like Mickey, Donald, Goofy into fighting characters. Disney, please. They are meant for the TV show like Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, not for fighting. Just imagine... a KID'S lovable cartoon character, turning into some fighting whatsoevers. All I'm pointing out is that a lovable cartoon character is used for a fighting game. Mickey is supposed to be for kids...

I actually did my first playthrough because I didn't know you could change blades. I was young, I didn't know. Took me FOREVER to finish the game. Second time playing was a lot easier with the different blades, haha.
I never realized as a kid how weird the dialogue is in the game. 90% of it is fine, but every now and then it's like the characters are having two different conversations, and the reactions are not fitting the context
to all the people who say sora didn't care for his parents he probably did maybe he was just confident that everything was going to be okay and he save theme all and tried to keep hope.

I still find this one of the saddest endings in gaming I find myself watching the ending now and again and getting the exact same feeling of sadness as I did when I first played through I also get the same chills... This game was a work of art

I really like Kingdom Hearts. my favorite character is Sora. I always thought it was pretty cool that they added Disney characters to the game! Can't wait for Kingdom Hearts 3!
You know what's weird; Out of the 3, Riku's the only one who didn't end up with a Nobody. I mean sure, he gave in to the darkness, and was overshadowed by Ansem, but he didn't exactly become a heartless, ergo no Nobody.

It's the best, but it looks like Disney is turning some lovable characters like Mickey, Donald, Goofy into fighting characters. Disney, please. They are meant for the TV show like Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, not for fighting. Just imagine... a KID'S lovable cartoon character, turning into some fighting whatsoevers. All I'm pointing out is that a lovable cartoon character is used for a fighting game. Mickey is supposed to be for kids...
dis fart , u clearly don't remember old school Mickey, imo Mickey Mouse clubhouse is an insult to the Mickey Mouse franchise as they made it like Dora the explorer, in the real Mickey Mouse they had great comedy and adventures , they even made them a movie called the 3 Mouseketeers where they fought as well.

I actually did my first playthrough because I didn't know you could change blades. I was young, I didn't know. Took me FOREVER to finish the game. Second time playing was a lot easier with the different blades, haha.
I got to Port Royal, then my friend pointed out i could change it :p
