Honestly this is the one mistake in my opinion with this scene. It makes sense for Sora to save Aqua because of Ven. It even makes sense for Riku to be seen as Terra because we know Terranort is the Ansum he gets consumed by in the earlier games, but I think it should have been Mickey who saved her and pulled her out of the dark water, making up in a small way for just leaving her in the realm of darkness and then never going back for her until they needed her.
This was a missed opportunity to have Mickey be the one to reclaim Aqua. Sora could still Save™ her, but it would've been thematically appropriate to have His Majesty be able to muster up the courage and power to retrieve her before she sank deeper into the darkness, fulfilling his promise after all those years. Or better yet, have Mickey do the whole boss fight. Why not give him his moment?
Very late reply but yes, this is a very special variant of Dearly Beloved following Sora's very heroic theme entrance. It's a powerful callback to the original introduction of Sora and Riku's combined keyblades as well as the fact Dearly Beloved has become the melody their hearts have created, symbolizing how their hearts are always in tune with one another.
I’m not entirely sure how aqua got corrupted in the first place, but I believe it was either exposure to darkness or being trapped in the realm of darkness for so long.
Ansem, Seeker of Darkness (a.k.a. Xehanort's Heartless) beat her in a 1v1 fight after Aqua failed to defend Ansem the Wise without a keyblade. She then stole King Mickey's keyblade after she got corrupted.
@@jaylenhioe2868 yes without her keyblade she had no way counter him and got kicked into the dark sea of im remembering right. Time also passes different in the dark realm so I’m sure exposure was part of it but it was mainly losing the keyblade in the fight and not have the light of the keyblade to defend herself
Makes sense though, the only "dark" thing that was keeping her going was her loneliness. She blamed it on Mickey, but knowing how kind she truly is I doubt she *really* meant that.
I can't stand Riku's 2nd Keyblade...it reminds me of Metal Chocobo, or Fenrir (ironically both FF themed). They have SO MANY bad ass Keyblades across the myriad of games...but yet they went with this design?? Even his original Keyblade, Way to the Dawn, was way better...not his "evil Riku" one that was also bland...but can be forgiven because it was the first game. But I mean there are extremely awesome keyblade designs like Void Gear (especially the monochromatic one), Oblivion, No Name, Gazing Eye, and Young Xeanhort's Keyblade....and speaking of Oblivion...THAT should have been his keyblade but made it even cooler looking. It would have not only made the most sense but it just fit him perfectly. I know I can't be the only one who feels this way, even Kairi's looks cooler than Riku's and fits her perfectly. Although in all honesty, having her keyblade be Oathkeeper and Riku's be Oblivion would've made the MOST SENSE for sure. Since they are the only keyblades (I think) that are in ALL the games and actually have importance to why they exist.
Them finally making Sora and Riku matter as a main plot point again in KH3 was so important to the core of what KH always was. Ugh ❤️

Not entirely inaccurate.
I mean…..not too far off
Sora is such a badass here and I love it
0:35 that's what he said when he got into Smash 🔥🔥🔥

No *Nick of Time* Sora.
to my player from kingdom hearts union cross is trap in the data world soralight
This still makes me cry. Ugh.
They finally brought her home 😭
I just fought her for the first time. Used wheel of fate keyblade and absolutely demolished her
Wheel of fate is imo the most powerful of the story gained keyblades
Thought I was the only one who used Wheel of Fate hahaha
Used it to fight the black man back then
I love how Riku and Mickey’s friendship has developed into what it is now. They are like Brian and Dominic (Fast and Furious.)
Sora's entrance always fuels my determination!!
0:28 SUPERHERO LANDING!
That's gotta hurt the knees lol
This scene completely surprised me. Having Sora dive in, save the day and whoop Aqua's ass. 🔥🔥🔥 Loved it!
I love how Sora decided to defeat Dark Aqua afterwards from Riku! I'm very impressed on what he did! Well done, Sora!
ah yes, THE GAYBLADE!
this whas the only reunion between characers i was content about in this whole game T T
Me too, the rest was too rushed.
Did somebody order a DEUS EX?????
RW:its Great to have you back Aqua 😢🥲🥺🥹😂🤣

do they ever even explain how masters defender got sora to the RoD anyway
Shame on you, expecting things to be explained properly in Kingdom Hearts.
In the 2.8 prequel, it shows Master's Defender vanishing along with the Destiny Islands after Sora restores its heart from the end of KH1
@@brimstoneclub oh i know how masters defender ended up on the islands. but how did masters defender get _sora_ to the RoD?

Sora's own theme song
