My Grandmother loved the Kingdom Hearts series. She was on her death bed when KH3 came out. She loved watching me play it until the end. She would have loved to see this DLC with all of her favorite characters teaming up. Oh man *tear tear* haha.

After Kingdom Hearts II gave us the ability to play as Mickey whenever Sora would get knocked out in certain battles, it was about time for Sora to return the favor.

Yes this is how it should be
The scene was just beautiful. When Sora first appeared to Mickey and just held him, Sora had such kind and compassionate eyes. He kept his signature smile and was just so sweet throughout the entire cut scene. He kept Mickey suspended in the air until Riku and the rest came back to finish the job. Sora and Mickey have a good relationship with each other. I hope it gets to a point where Sora doesn't have to call Mickey "King" or "Your Majesty"
@@acjmonkeyaj7139 I'm honestly hoping for the day where Mickey tells Sora to call him Mickey since I'm pretty sure that Mickey considers him a dear friend just like Riku. Literally all the other Guardians of Light call him Mickey (though BBS trio is understandable since they met him as an apprentice). I was really hoping that KH3 would be the time but if we can't even get Sora to thank Namine, then I guess I'll have to wait a bit more for Sora to call Mickey by his name! :D

I was really worried Mickey had been nerfed this game as he had been such a bad ass in previous KH games. Mickey's last stand against the Xehanort copies just showed everyone he's the REAL master.

I have a theory as to why he is. In Birth By Sleep, one of the last boss fights for Terra is against Vanitas and Master Xehanort. It could be a nod to that fight

Revan Master Of The Foundry took Square almost over a year to show us but yea.
It really is ashame that the games that they make a almost always incomplete. FFXV took what around 10-15 years, KH3 took about just as long. And then there's FF7. Wonderful games Square makes but they really should finish them before releasing them.
Revan Master Of The Foundry I do agree with you on that and with FFXV I think the contract that was signed said it had to be released that year, I know there was a contract signed stating something to that effect. And with KH3 while it was good I wish it would’ve not taken as long, but at least with KH3 it’s just one big wave of DLC which I think is way better than having multiple short dlc packs. I’m not saying that having multiple short dlc packs are bad, I’m just saying in the case of KH3 just one big DLC pack was a good move.
This was the highlight of the dlc. The team work, the friendly banter, riku leading the team. This shit was dope despite everything else

Mickey's big stand is probably my favorite KH moment involving him. Mickey EARNED his shining time, and he went through it beautifully! It made me cry first time I played through it!
The Guardians vs Replica Xehanort's is the most epic fight for me! Damn that was awesome.

It's really about recognizing patterns and Kairi's gameplay is really solid aside from some horrible things like her shitty aerial dodge. She's absolutely KH3's top 3 after Roxas and of course Sora.

The Armored Xehanort fight was well done!! Really pushed me to the limit, played it as Kairi and it was a lot of fun!
Seeing the gang fight together against Xehanort’s minions is super awesome ngl. The second portion where Mickey has to fend for himself is awesome too. And that boss fight where Kairi becomes a playable character is super awesome too.
I’d love to have that skybox in Source Filmmaker. I’m talking about the skybox on 2:52.

In my personal opinion I believe it really should have been Riku and kairi by Sora's side while fighting Xehanort with the X-blade.
But this final boss where Sora and Kairi fighting together against the one who made their lives a living hell is a more satisfying conclusion.

Tbh this is how "Power of Friendship" trope done right.
This half-hour of gameplay is literally better than anything I could've possibly come up with in my wildest schoolyard KH fantasies back in that post-2/pre-3 period between 2006 and 2019. KH3 did a masterful job weaving together all the threads built up in the other games and it's way too unfairly maligned in my opinion. Re:Mind -- especially this part -- took all of that up to 11. I'm late to the show and only just experienced Re:Mind last week, and my jaw was on the floor when you got to control the guardians in the fight against the vessels, and I was so happy that you finally got to play as Kairi. (And during a final boss fight, no less!) There are flaws with 3 and Re:Mind, sure, but I think the positives outshine the negatives just as is the case in the rest of the series. I hope Nomura course-corrects on some of those flaws in future games (for instance: the series should let you control the other characters more often, beyond just boss fights), but I find it silly to say that KH3 was a letdown when we had actual unequivocal letdowns that same year in the form of Game of Thrones season 8 and Star Wars Episode 9. (No shade if you enjoy those! Just stating my opinion 😂) Seriously, the Dark Seeker arc ended so strong. Here's to another several decades of being slowly drip-fed awesome games in the next arc!
I like to think that the only reason Sora won, was because Master Xehanort had to split his attention to simultaneously deal with the guardians of light as well as alternative reality Sora at the same time. So he as an individual, albeit with 14-15 different bodies, had to deal with 13 different opponents across 2 different timelines.
good theory it could also be why he sent his replica's after the guardians to stop them from keeping kh shut

Why did Mickey’s part make me wanna cry?
Because Mickey was the one Character that kept failing to save his friends on the entire story despite all his attempts and had always try again. That was a really nice scene that was needed. Mickey deserved to be seen has finally his hero performance and never stopped believing that he could save his friends.
bla bla Well said. I think Mickey knew he failed several times and realized that he wasn’t going to do so again. This was his moment to redeem himself and he did.
I read other comments that his scene did made them cry.
