The spike for base game to Limit Cut is way higher than base to Cavern of Remembrance. You can brute force through most of the cavern if you're lv99 (maybe minus the final Nobody fight). You definitely cannot do that for KH3 Data Organization. Also assuming we're talking about crit.
@@DanmakuMasterif you’re playing at a low or base level crit run in KH2 you will get destroyed by the cavern mobs, they only become simple to kill when you’re max level and have all drives max. If you’re anything but lv. 99 on both the cavern of remembrance and the garden of assemblage, as well as in the kh3 data org, you will get destroyed. Yet it is possible to beat both data orgs on lv.1 if you understand the combat well enough. Basically, both games have a massive difficulty spike between their vanilla base games and final mix/REMIND DLC post-games. It’s not just a thing unique to KH3 where there’s a huge difficulty spike.
As a casual player, it kinda pissed me off that the end of the DLC was locked behind Data Battles. I'm not the kinda player to sit here and struggle with those fights just to finish the content. And I won't even mention Yozora...
What makes KH3 Ansem and Riku so cool to me is how Water is their weakness and will snuff out their dark portal attack that appears on Sora. Which makes Ansems DM much easier.
My favorite is KH3 Marluxia. That is just the perfect fight for my playstyle. (although Xion's music is in a three-way tie for my favorite track in the series)
Funny thing about Xemnas in KH3, if you somehow fight him for too long, I can't remember if its after his second or third Laser Dome, but when you return to the arena, Xemnas just has a tower of reflect walls set up to throw you into on loop, and it's hilarious. Unless you did a level 1 fight with him, you most likely will never see it because his fight isn't long enough.
That does make me think it would be interesting if Kingdom Hearts played more with the "If you take too long in this fight, you simply die" like some other RPGs do. I'm kind of surprised they haven't done that more often... if ever really. That tower move you mention sounds like it, getting infinite comboed to death so you're encouraged to complete the fight faster and not play too defensively.
I always had to face the tower of reflect walls at the end of the fight while fighting him on proud (never got around to doing a crit run). I didn't know you could skip it.
WOAH hold on some of my favourite fights are bottom 2. In defence of Data Luxord 3, it's one of the fights with the most player and skill expression in the game, even if it's a bit on the easy side. Many of his attacks will have you dodging cards to get punishes, but if you dodge cards, he can set up his shuffle attack, which is slow and easy to mess up. If you block his attacks, it'll destroy the card. At a base level, players get to choose whether they want an immediate punish with a potentially large amount of setup later, or if they want to stop Luxord from setting up but miss some punishes. The really cool thing is that once you're familiar enough with the fight, you can actually put yourself in a position to block all cards AND get a punish. Not only that, but if you pay attention to the shuffle, you can immediately hit Luxord, which is awesome. As for his DM, you complained about him dodging your attacks at the last second, but that's the point. The only way to consistently attack him during his DM is when he gets impatient and goes for you first. From a character perspective, I think this is GENIUS. As for Data Demyx, I think it's the best fight in KH2 and I'm being 100% serious. It's the only fight in the game where it feels like resource management actually matters. Since Wisdom Firaga is so efficient at knocking out water clones, you need to make sure you're in a position to enter Wisdom Form likely twice at the end of the fight. It rewards you for taking advantage of everything the game offers to you, and is somewhat of a final exam of the game's resource loop. (spend MP to get Drive back quickly, use Drive to restore MP) Because of this, it means that on top of learning Demyx's attack patterns, you need to gauge how valuable having MP is at each moment, which makes for a very exciting risk/reward factor. You also need to make sure your resources line up at the right time to heal Donald to actually enter Wisdom Form. This and Nort Court are the ONLY fights in the series where your party members actually matter, and there's really nothing else in the game like it. Also, it's interesting that you like Xigbar 2's blue shots more than Xigbar 3's. You can just block the blue shots normally in KH3, and in KH2, the reaction command for them left you airborne. You can't air block properly like you can in KH3 so successfully hitting the RC has left me in some less than fair situations.
hey skyward (: this is probably going to be one of your weirdest random comments yet, but I have watched your videos from many, manyyyy years ago. I was about 18 in high school when I binged your kingdom hearts series…I had just turned 26 a couple days ago actually, and randomly thought of your channel as my boyfriend mentioned playing all the games together. I could have never afforded a ps4 of my own, or practically any other system other than a 3DS i had saved up for once I was old enough to work. I remember always wanting to play ever since I saw commercials of it on TV when I was a kid, so being able to watch your videos and experience the games with you was definitely an experience. your videos made me laugh many times, shed a couple tears, everything. I remember planning to re-watch all your videos including the KH3 playthrough cause I know you and every one of us have been waiting for a release. it was 2021 when I tried to look for your channel only to realize everything had been deleted. I was heartbroken ngl 😭 but now, that I got to look up your channel and see that youre up and running again, makes me happy that you’ve come back. thank you for practically introducing me to Kingdom Hearts, and playing the games with me. I may be just another viewer but to me your personality and videos will always give me a special nostalgic core memory in my life. Thank you once again, and I wish you all the blessings this life has to offer. 💖
It will never not be funny to me that, from a story perspective, the Organization members created digital copies of themselves that can pull off insane super powerfull moves that they could never actually make in real life.
I wouldn't mind Data Disney Partners battles (the partners you fought with now fighting you with their 'true power' shown to you like these data battles are marketed). Or Data Disney Princess of Heart Battles. Fighting 'Darkness' for so long you now get to experience how it's like when fighting the embodiments of 'Light'. Each empowered by the 'light' and other elements. Watching "Disney Princesses" Boding reactors will be fun while part stressing when Snow White bashes you with a pickax and poison apple.
Is there a in-universe lore reason why the Garden of Assemblage exists? I feel like there should be one.... and who knows, maybe they can bring it back for a plot point. I personally think, it would be great for the heroes to use to help train up the new Keyblade wielders... and I like the idea of Xion using it (and her power copying tricks) to gain the abilities of the Original Organization 13 to really ramp up her versatility.
If I had to guess, I'd say that the Organization was collecting data on its members for the Replica program, as a backup to the "Everyone is Xehanort" plan. Remember in Scala ad Caelum, how all those Xehanort replicas were wielding the weapons and powers of other organization members? The only way they could do that is if they had everyone's data recorded, so that's probably why the data was recorded in the first place.
@@13KuriMasternah doesn’t seem to be a theory that seems to really be what happened when you really connect the dots of all that especially with xehanort wanting to nort his followers and all yeah it fits
@@thatjrpganimefanplayerjusi8003 Unless you can get an official statement from someone at Square Enix (preferably with a source) saying that that is the case... it is just a theory. An excellent theory with very sound logic, but still just a theory.
I sadly haven’t played KH2 but for KH3: 1. Xigbar- the music is just insane 2. Xion- it was super hard but after getting the hang of it I actually find it so fun 3. Young Xehanort- I love how he can time stop, he’s so cool
Zexion is my least favorite, for sure. The worst part for me is that the most optimal way to beat him is to not engage with the fight at all, and just keep him stunlocked forever so you never get Booked. Like you either grind through his health with Final Form Firaga and Duckflare, which isn’t fun, or you fight him more legitimately but have to deal with the stupid Book World minigame over and over, which isn’t fun either.
@@rucksack_kh Yes, and? I didn't say Zexion was the only boss you can stunlock with Final Form Firaga. I said it's the optimal strat against him, and that's boring. You can beat most of the other superbosses faster with another, more interesting strat. But Zexion sucks you into a boring and annoying minigame that wastes your time if he ever breaks out of your combo.
@SwansingerLJG I guess, but at least it's not a button-mash, reflect-spam boss like almost all of the others. It's not even that hard. Also, of course you're supposed to get annoyed at the boss, it's not supposed to be fun it's supposed to be challenging.
@SwansingerLJG Well, it's not part of the base game (if we are talking about KH2 compared to FM), so it's a literal add-on that's supposed to be a challenge for experienced players. The entire point is for it to be not fun.
I loved the KH2 and KH3 Xemnas fights, the music, the combos you can pull off with reflect, limit form, ugh and don’t even get me started on KH3s version, it’s by far one of the most difficult but once you master the combos and his attack patterns he can’t touch you.
my favorites are easily 1. Siax kh3 2. Vanitas kh3 3. Roxas kh2 I enjoy siax data battle so much in kh3 that I try to find many different ways to combo him like starting off the battle with waterga instead of blocking to block his attack and combo him right after.
Saix (KH3) - More of his attacks in Berserk form are blockable than you think. You can actually block most of that normal combo and get a counter prompt.
@@TimothyGod No, see, it was removed to avoid repeat corrections on my misunderstanding. Though I see the first comment with the context got deleted, so.. I guess I'll just remove that segment entirely to actually avoid confusion. And I don't remember, sorry.
@@vintoplad I think my favorite attack of his that you can block that doesn't even look like an attack is when he enters Berserk, he'll toss all his claymores at you, then teleport to slam down. Thing is, he swings his own claymore as he does that initial toss. So if you're near him, you can jump up and block that initial toss and counter, and that's actually an opening. That goes to show just how tightly crafted these fights really are.
I learned this cool trick with demyx if you shoot blizzard at the clones you can use wild dance on them then you can use fire to kill the clones pulling into the magnetic force of it
I remember in KH3, going into Data Riku for a pra tice run, only for me to accidentally beat him. Nost hectic fight I had in the series but somehow it all clicked for me instantly lol
Cool list. One correction, the gap closer in kh3 is called airstep not quickstep. My top five: 1. Data Master Xehanort 2. Data Xion 3. Data Xemnas KH3 4. Data Xemnas KH2 5. Data Roxas
Even though Kingdom Hearts 2 is my favorite game, I enjoy the data fights in Kingdom Hearts 3 much more. My favorite data fights are Marluxia (kh3) and Roxas
It took me 1 month on level 99 critical just to reach Yozora and I didn't have any saves to start at a certain point to stock up on elixirs so I was limited on using them. By far much more challenging than any other boss I ever faced from data was Xehanort, Xemnas and Siax
This shouldn’t be a hot take They all have 2 desperation moves , they aren’t loopable due to teleportation after revenge value hit , they way have more attacks, they have more fair attacks it’s hard to consistently pure skill - vexen a bs or zexion book world or roxas double key blade throw ( even will biz, auron sonic, etc couldn’t consistently dodge these over in over) etc meanwhile All kh3 data attacks have ways to CONSISTENTLY dodge each attacks.….anyone who thinks kh2 data is better hasn’t actually intimately explored each data fight ( it’s a tough task) Ie playing on lv1, pro codes etc etc ( i have, i used to run kh2fm lv1, and data org lv1) all guys who are the best kingdom hearts players in the world like bizkit047 ( guy has had literally 30+ plus kh world records - multiple time lv1 any% , multiple % lv1 data org in both games. He was the first to do kh3 lv1 data org all pro codes run. He lives in breathes kh combat) . have openly said they’re better. I recommand to check out bizkit047 video ´ is lingering will as good as we remember’ and it points out problems kh2 fights had..
My biggest gripe with the kh2 data fights is that like half of them you have to use some sort of gimmick to defeat them or they have a gimmick to just make things annoying and I wish more of them were just fights like roxas with no bs mechanic thankfully kh3 data fights seem to be more about learning the fight than learning a gimmick
My favourite in 2 is easily Data Larxene. Learning how to beat her without using reflect nor glide while also lacking second chance was stupid hard but very satisfying once done. Made me realise she has different hp thresholds for phases in solo and clone state, the first lightning bolt of her beam DM can be simply walked away from which is very useful if you plan on getting through it with dodge roll, she changes her attacks based on range in solo state, and in the said solo state she has a predetermined chain of attacks she will do once she starts the long combo which becomes longer in every phase yet ends the same. She also has hyperarmour when she does the big lightning bolt, but the rest are fully open to staggers, which matters way more when you're not relying on reflect or other i-frame attacks. Data Roxas is also cool, but his barely reactable strike raid combo can go shove a sea salt ice cream into a very not Disney friendly place. Like you can react to it if you anticipate it, but good luck telling the start apart from his usual movement, especially in phase 3 where he will use it on neutral more often. Also I wish that he had more moves in his normal state instead of having the keybladeless state, because it honestly feels like a waste of time. Least favourite is Data Vexen because my god the rng is atrocious. Forced phase 3 DM too is annoying, but at least it's sort of fun to dodge. It's like the only fun part. Can't comment on 3 yet, because I started the game and the default starting moveset was so flaily, slow and filled to the brim with recovery frames I just couldn't tolerate it. I know it gets better at endgame, but man that is a horrid start. Also the constant offscreen snipes on Critical Mode were just annoying. I'll eventually get back to it because those dlc bosses look amazing, but it's gonna take some time.
I’m still on 2, but my top picks are Xaldin, Roxas, and Demyx. Xaldin and Roxas are truly consistent and Demyx felt the most fair. Even though 99 clones is a tall order, it’s perfectly doable if you don’t use forms outside of clone fights. Honorable mention goes to Xigbar for being my first kill, even if he’s a pain in the ass due to the high level of RNG.
My top 3 favorite data battle are Data Xemnas(KH3) The reasom this is my favorite data boss because it have so many callback to his eariler bosses in the series to the wall attack to the laser dome. The fight also becomes very rewarding once knowing how to counter him. Data Marluxia(KH3) The reason being is that this battle is a literally a battle of life and death since he can use doom up to 3 times a fight. I also love that you can use magic to make the boss much easier since during the armor phase you can use fire to obliterate the armor and I honestly just like these type of fight and other bosses that I remember is Saix. You can use blizzard to cool him down when he try to regain his berserker. Data Xion (KH3) This fight have so many references to Roxas since most of her attack has light pillar similar to Roxas and have attack similar to Roxas.
I actually really liked the KH3 Luxord fight. It requires you to take a more thoughtful means of combat, rather than just slapping anything that moves with your keyblade. There are ways to get rid of cards without attacking them like blocking whenever he launches a couple cards your way. By doing this, it makes keeping track of Luxord easier. What can I say? I enjoyed playing his game
KH3 Luxord is top 3. It’s a fantastic execution of an amazing idea, completely changing the “rules” of battle is so much fun. The battle has a great rythm to it, the final DM gauntlet is a blast and unlike 2 there’s a really great learning curve to beating him. I suppose if you play on lower difficulties he could be worse but on critical he’s literally perfect
I'm currently fighting the KH3 data fights, I've done them all except xion and master xehanort, while I know a lot of people like KH3's data fights more, I honestly prefer KH2's for the most part, because most of my favs are still there even though more of the ones I hate are there. My top 3 favs from KH2: 1. Marluxia, Just overall fun, especially love the RCs. Plus he's one of my fav org members. I also like fighting him at LV 1 because everything I do feels permanent. 2. Roxas, used to be my fav but as time has gone on I've come to appreciate Marluxia more 3: Larxene, really fun to dodge and guard her attacks, RCs are cool and my favourite DM from the series. Least Favs from KH2: 1. Zexion, Book world not fun 2. Xemnas, the first half of it is fun but having 2 parts makes it stressful as. 3. Vexen: I hate Sora clone. His DM is really lame. My top 3 from KH3 so far: 1. Ansem, really fun to fight, I like his first DM but his second DM is a bit annoying, I imagine most people don't see it fully cause you just want him to die as quick as possible. Plus Akio Ootsuka is one of my fav JP voice actors, I honestly would miss him if I played in English. 2. Probably a tie between Marluxia and Xemnas. Both are excellent compilations of what made them so fun to fight in the past. 3. Riku, Because I all around just like the fight, honestly probably the one I have the least problems with. Least Favs: 1. Saix. It feels too inconsistent because it seems like the angles of his blue phase attacks are too random and unpredictable. I think his purple phase is fun to fight but his blue phase and his DM are too irritating to me. 2. Luxord, He's my favorite org member and I still do like this fight a lot, but his DM phase is just stupid and I honestly just looked it up because figuring it out just wasn't going to be fun. 3. Terranort, honestly I think his attacks are all fun but the DM is just annoying, some of the pillars can hit you immediately if they spawn on top of you, so there isn't a way to react to them. I do think hitboxes can be a bit iffy in these DMs. His 2nd DM is worse because of what was already bad plus more attacks. Honestly for both I just spammed dodge roll. Also like Ansem he's voiced by Akio Ootsuka, so he gets extra points for that. Overall for KH2: Better DMs, more fights I hate but not too many. Overall for KH3: Attacks are really fun to counter and dodge, but I don't like most of the DMs.
Since the games are now on Steam, I'm making my way to 100% complete all of them (currently in KH2) and never did the data fights before, so it's gonna be a rough hill to climb especially since I'm a slow learner in practice (I learn fast the basis but when it comes to more complex stuff I struggle) not helped by me getting easily frustrated or going back to my preset mode of playing.
It's interesting that your least favorite for KH3 was Luxord, because he's probably my favorite BECAUSE of how the fight goes. You can absolutely "gamble that shit" and purposefully blow the final phase of his DM, and it makes it a rush to mop him up when you get an opening afterwards to recover that lost time. It's both way less frustrating but much harder to pull off consistently, but when you get it you feel like a gigabrain. "It's more fun when you beat the odds" as Luxord always says. I'm pretty sure that's him trying to encourage the player to bend the rules with a welding torch to beat him, and I kinda love that about Luxord both as a fight, a game mechanic, and a character. He's the one fight in the game where you really cannot just turn your brain off and mash x to combo, square to block. certain bosses have that timing thing where if you don't time your guards and dodge rolls almost perfectly you're screwed (like Anti-Aqua, Dark Riku, Xion, and Young Xehanort), but Luxord directly challenges the player to use the knowledge they've built up from presumably two playthroughs of KH3 (once for the main story, once again on critical with the ReMind abilities). By the time you fight Luxord, if you feel confident enough in your knowledge of how the game works, you might be more open to taking riskier plays against him instead of following his rules to the letter. When Luxord gives you rules, try playing Calvinball with him.
Overall i think KH2 is a better game, re mind bosses are probably the best in the series. Difficult to chose, but i'd say: 3) Data Riku: the remake of the iconic battle against the best friend from KH1 2) Larxene (KH3): Easy to remember, hard to master 1) Xion: emotional battle 2.0, the spiritual successor of Roxas fight What i like from these battles is the fact they feel like an actual fight. Not just a boss where you have to remember patterns and turns to attacks, there are a lot of openings, you can still attack during their turns and defend at the right time, also i feel i can put more imagination with these bosses. Ik some battles share the ssame features, but i still prefer these
I love the Data Org battles! Gives the game a nice challenge. Honestly, I still haven't beaten all of them, but I also haven't spent as much time on them as others have. 😂
My top one is KH3 Xigbar for one reason only, i did it on critical mode and did the whole fight just reflecting bullets back to deal damage because my smooth brain thought i wasnt allowed to hit him any other way. So it took a bit but when i finally won, the i cheered and the next day i saw a video of Cynical fighting him the normal way and felt all kinds of stupid
Thing about Luxord's DM in KH3 is that players that can only play on 30 fps are disadvantaged because you need to look around you very quickly, and such framerate doesn't help. 18:28 Speedrunners be like "however, I disagree"
You know, it’s really funny about these data fights? Is the fact that it took me over 30 tries to beat Luxord, yet I beat dark Riku the first try. It’s always a give or take depending on the way you fight in this game.
My top 3 data fights for kh2fm are 1 - roxas, 2 - xemnas, and 3 - marluxia. My top 3 for kh3 remind are 1 - xion, 2 - young xehanort, and 3 - xemnas. I guess xemnas just has really good boss fights (and music ofc), so it's no wonder he's in both top 3 lists for me.
really enjoyed this video! got a new subscriber 😊 the kingdom hearts superbosses are what really got me into superbosses as a concept and now they're my favourite part of most games i play, and i enjoyed your analysis of them, especially where it differed from mine, as it makes me see some of the fights from new angles if i can offer one bit of feedback, i really don't think removing the HUD was necessary or beneficial to this video as a viewer - i get the logic, but the hud really isn't intrusive enough to distract from the action or risk covering anything from most battles, and given how many of the fights utilise the command menu in creative ways i think its removal actually took more away from the fights as a viewer than it added. or lil things like contextualising the challenge by getting to see health and mp bars, especially when xion can permanently cap the health with some of her attacks. might just be me, but especially given the amount of times you mentioned how not being able to see it commands hindered key points of the battle, i think you just made this much harder for yourself than it needed to be without really improving the experience as a viewer. Still a great video though, i not long ago finally finished yozora and was done with the games for a while, but this has made me want to pick them up again. Foreteller data battles would be cool as hell!
you know, considering they're staying there's going to be 7 dark and (probably)13 light this time around, what if the next data fights are against the 13 guardians? Wouldn't that be sick?
My favourite data fight has to be Data Xion. No idea what the rest of my top 3 is, but Data Xion is the clear #1. Once that fight clicked with me, I was in a state where the only thing I disliked about the fight was that it didn't go on literally forever... like, "I-sit-here-playing-until-the-heat-death-of-the-universe" forever.
I don't have a favorite for 3, but in 2, I definitely have a favorite. Data Roxas. Also, is there an audio issue? We can barely hear the music, or is that intentional?
Hm, fair and valid points and opinions, i wonder what kind of Data Battles we could get next? By the way, say, which Organization XIII do you prefer? The Original or the True? Also, Side-Note: I have to say, seeing Ansem fight without the Guardian, still feels strange to me, now I understand why they decided to have Terra-Xehanort be the one to have the Guardian in a Boss Fight and he did us the Guardian before that one time in his debut Game, But literally every Ansem Boss Fight within the Franchise before KH3, has all depicted him with the Guardian and there has be a lot of Ansem Boss Battles throughout the Series, so while Terra-Xehanort has used the Guardian too at one point before KH3, I think it would be fair to think of the Guardian to mainly belong to Ansem as his Weapon of choice, so to see him in a Boss Fight without the Guardian by his side feels really jarring to me, Heck, I feel like they could’ve at least had Data Ansem have the Guardian by his side, since there wouldn’t necessarily be any Story reasons for why he wouldn’t, Well, that is my opinion at least.
I have the best org order… order of death, my kh2 order was larxene, vexen, marluxia, lexius, zexion, demyx, xalden (still worst member because of the first fight), axel, roxas, xigbar, gambler of fate (why can’t I remember his name), saix and then xemnas (why was xemnas the second hardest fight in the game up there with xalden 1?!?!
Not saying luxord in 3 is a top tier fight (at least not when we look at the other fights), but I think a lot of people don't realize that there are so many more opening than it seems at first, I do personally thing this is a fun fight overrall. The dm still sucks, not gonna defend that, but It's also not as bad as I though at first..... Just a very small "not as bad".
I don’t remember the KH2 data fights, but I remember for KH3 I just went by personal preference. Vanitas is a favorite of mine, but he was the first(and easiest) fight in my run. 😂 The hardest and best fights in my top 3 would be Xion, Ansem, and Terrahnort. BBS Terrahnort was nothing to me, but KH3 threw HANDS.
Data demyx is my least favorite. My top 3 is mar, xemnas, lexaeus, i would pick roxas but you cant really air combo him, Havent got back to kh3 since i gotta a ps5 almost 2 years ago so I'll eventually get back to 3 after I'm done replaying kh2fm.
Luxord being my favorite member, seeing him always get the lowest spot on these lists is very disappointing. Is difficult? No. Is it unique? Very. Put some respect on his name man damn. Plus that 13th Struggle Remix is dope
data xion is by far the best. unlike most of the other kh3 data org bosses, i could comprehend when my eyes were seeing. No offense to the other bosses, but they can be too much at times. Xion strikes a perfect balance between extremely tight gameplay and visuals.
Just completed a critical playthrough and OH MY GOD the MODS you can get now!! KH4 Sora, (no more derp face either, iykyk) Buster Sword over KK, Custom Keyblades & various QoL mods
I know a lot of people HATE the KH2 Demyx fight, but personally I didn't find it NEARLY as grating as KH2 Luxord. Granted, the foresight of knowing exactly what to do for Demyx helps, but foresight does NOT save you from Luxord. Especially since you have to win that final game in order to beat him. So yeah, hot take but Data Demyx > Data Luxord imo.
Data Zexion and Data Vexen are my least favorites. I hate the book world cause he just stun locks you, and Vexen hiding behind his shield while having to worry about the Anti-Sora is not fun in the slightest. Top 3 favorites, I'd have to go with Data Xion, Data Vanitas, and Data Dark Riku.
There are 2 kingdom hearts references in hazbin hotel...ep 6 having the kingdom hearts logo and ep 8 having the cat keekee turning into a hazbin style keyblade
Roxas was the hardest for me in the original, I never did data, everyone else was easy just not him, my mom had to help me prepare just so I could beat him 😂

To be fair to the gaming journalists the difficulty spike between Re:mind and Limit Cut Episode was EXTREME.
Real shit
So just like the difficulty spike between KH2’s base game and the 2FM cavern of remembrance right?
The spike for base game to Limit Cut is way higher than base to Cavern of Remembrance. You can brute force through most of the cavern if you're lv99 (maybe minus the final Nobody fight). You definitely cannot do that for KH3 Data Organization. Also assuming we're talking about crit.

I was coming to make sure someone said it. It's super easy once you know that lol
Reaaaally? Can you show it?
It’s after the second DM
Didn’t even know he could DM multiple times
You can't air block properly like you can in KH3 so successfully hitting the RC has left me in some less than fair situations.
hey skyward (:
this is probably going to be one of your weirdest random comments yet, but I have watched your videos from many, manyyyy years ago.
Maybe someday we'll get Data Disney Villains.
I'd love a Data Hades or Data Dragon Maleficent. Besides those... idk, I feel most Disney villains don't have that epic feel
plz no
I never played the Re:Mind episode, so seeing as i’m currently replaying all the KH games, I’m extremely excited to finally experience these battles.
@@normal6483 That sounds like an excelent Theroy. :)
Likely a part of Ansem’s castle that Xehanort repurposed when he stole his identity
For KH2 Marluxia, you can actually just run around in tight circle to dodge his DM.
I sadly haven’t played KH2 but for KH3:
1. Xigbar- the music is just insane
2. Xion- it was super hard but after getting the hang of it I actually find it so fun
You can literally do that with half of the data fights and even LW in KH2
@@rucksack_kh "It's not supposed to be fun" is a bold thing to say about a video game boss, gonna have to agree to disagree on that one.
@SwansingerLJG Well, it's not part of the base game (if we are talking about KH2 compared to FM), so it's a literal add-on that's supposed to be a challenge for experienced players. The entire point is for it to be not fun.
I loved the KH2 and KH3 Xemnas fights, the music, the combos you can pull off with reflect, limit form, ugh and don’t even get me started on KH3s version, it’s by far one of the most difficult but once you master the combos and his attack patterns he can’t touch you.
my favorites are easily
1. Siax kh3
2. Vanitas kh3
3. Roxas kh2
I enjoy siax data battle so much in kh3 that I try to find many different ways to combo him like starting off the battle with waterga instead of blocking to block his attack and combo him right after.
Saix (KH3) - More of his attacks in Berserk form are blockable than you think. You can actually block most of that normal combo and get a counter prompt.
@@vintopladwhat was the edit? I know it was to stop confusion, but now I'm confused as to what you said before editing 😅
@@TimothyGod No, see, it was removed to avoid repeat corrections on my misunderstanding. Though I see the first comment with the context got deleted, so.. I guess I'll just remove that segment entirely to actually avoid confusion.
And I don't remember, sorry.
@@vintoplad it's all good lol. My curiosity was destroying me
@@vintoplad I think my favorite attack of his that you can block that doesn't even look like an attack is when he enters Berserk, he'll toss all his claymores at you, then teleport to slam down. Thing is, he swings his own claymore as he does that initial toss. So if you're near him, you can jump up and block that initial toss and counter, and that's actually an opening. That goes to show just how tightly crafted these fights really are.
I faught all the Limit Cut fights again recently and Master Xehanort and Xemnas especially were still beyond fun
I learned this cool trick with demyx if you shoot blizzard at the clones you can use wild dance on them then you can use fire to kill the clones pulling into the magnetic force of it
honestly one of my favorites is Data Luxord from 3, outside of the games themselves i like how its got a set rhythm to it
I remember in KH3, going into Data Riku for a pra tice run, only for me to accidentally beat him. Nost hectic fight I had in the series but somehow it all clicked for me instantly lol
One of my favorite things about kh3 saix is that when he is berserk bar 1 he will do the little slam flips you can do to him in kh2
Skyward uploading a data boss ranking meer days after I beat half of em already? Best coincidence EVER!
ooh my favorite boss fight of all time is Data Xion. the whole fight feels like a dance that you need to memorize the steps to a execute perfectly!
Cool list. One correction, the gap closer in kh3 is called airstep not quickstep. My top five:
1. Data Master Xehanort
2. Data Xion
3. Data Xemnas KH3
4. Data Xemnas KH2
5. Data Roxas
I have to go with Roxas as my favorite data organization fight
Even though Kingdom Hearts 2 is my favorite game, I enjoy the data fights in Kingdom Hearts 3 much more. My favorite data fights are Marluxia (kh3) and Roxas
Fun fact, the Zexion move with the spotlights always stops on the thirteenth switch. You can make it easier to get the right one by counting that
I'm no KH player, but I'MSO GLAD YOU ENJOYED THE MARLUXIA FIGHTS! Why didn't he get a boss battle in Melody of Memory...
It took me 1 month on level 99 critical just to reach Yozora and I didn't have any saves to start at a certain point to stock up on elixirs so I was limited on using them. By far much more challenging than any other boss I ever faced from data was Xehanort, Xemnas and Siax
Hot take: The Limit Cut bosses were a lot better than the KH2 rematches imo, w/ my favorite fight probably being against Data Xion
Seeing this video make feel bad for using save states on data xemnas second fase 😅, sorry for that but i was really stressed, nice video
My top 3 favorite data battle are
Data Xemnas(KH3)
The reasom this is my favorite data boss because it have so many callback to his eariler bosses in the series to the wall attack to the laser dome. The fight also becomes very rewarding once knowing how to counter him.
Data Marluxia(KH3)
The reason being is that this battle is a literally a battle of life and death since he can use doom up to 3 times a fight. I also love that you can use magic to make the boss much easier since during the armor phase you can use fire to obliterate the armor and I honestly just like these type of fight and other bosses that I remember is Saix. You can use blizzard to cool him down when he try to regain his berserker.
Data Xion (KH3)
This fight have so many references to Roxas since most of her attack has light pillar similar to Roxas and have attack similar to Roxas.
My top 3 favs from KH2:
1. Marluxia, Just overall fun, especially love the RCs. Plus he's one of my fav org members. I also like fighting him at LV 1 because everything I do feels permanent.
2. Roxas, used to be my fav but as time has gone on I've come to appreciate Marluxia more
3: Larxene, really fun to dodge and guard her attacks, RCs are cool and my favourite DM from the series.
Least Favs from KH2:
1. Zexion, Book world not fun
2. Xemnas, the first half of it is fun but having 2 parts makes it stressful as.
3. Vexen: I hate Sora clone. His DM is really lame.
My top 3 from KH3 so far:
Least Favs:
Overall for KH2:
Better DMs, more fights I hate but not too many.
Overall for KH3:
Attacks are really fun to counter and dodge, but I don't like most of the DMs.

"I owe you an apology. I wasnt really familiar with your game."
Sky: Hopefully we can fight more of our homies in the future titles
Sora’s homies: 💀💀💀💀💀
Number 1 and 2- KH3 Xion KH2 Roxas (I can't pick)
Number 2- Xemnas KH2
Number 3- KH3 Xemnas.
this was such a great video!
Overall i think KH2 is a better game, re mind bosses are probably the best in the series. Difficult to chose, but i'd say:
3) Data Riku: the remake of the iconic battle against the best friend from KH1
2) Larxene (KH3): Easy to remember, hard to master
1) Xion: emotional battle 2.0, the spiritual successor of Roxas fight
What i like from these battles is the fact they feel like an actual fight.
The order I fought them was completely random. I took 13 pieces of paper with the numbers (11 in KH3) and the one I picked was the one who I fought.
I guess xemnas just has really good boss fights (and music ofc), so it's no wonder he's in both top 3 lists for me.
really enjoyed this video! got a new subscriber 😊
the kingdom hearts superbosses are what really got me into superbosses as a concept and now they're my favourite part of most games i play, and i enjoyed your analysis of them, especially where it differed from mine, as it makes me see some of the fights from new angles
if i can offer one bit of feedback, i really don't think removing the HUD was necessary or beneficial to this video as a viewer - i get the logic, but the hud really isn't intrusive enough to distract from the action or risk covering anything from most battles, and given how many of the fights utilise the command menu in creative ways i think its removal actually took more away from the fights as a viewer than it added. or lil things like contextualising the challenge by getting to see health and mp bars, especially when xion can permanently cap the health with some of her attacks.
might just be me, but especially given the amount of times you mentioned how not being able to see it commands hindered key points of the battle, i think you just made this much harder for yourself than it needed to be without really improving the experience as a viewer.
Here's me just finishing Re:mind and getting ready to grind before facing data battles lol
Lexaeus may noy be my favorite, but watching him fling Sora around like a toy never fails to make me laugh.
Data org in 3 surprised me by actually being kinda better than 2’s back when remind dropped
oh man data foretellers would be so satisfying. kick their butts as payback for the daybreak town keykids
#5: Laxeaous KH2
#4: Terranort KH3
#3: Roxas from KH2
#2: Marluxia KH2
#1: Marluxia KH3 (beat first try)
Xion saying "This is how... it's supposed to be..." kills me almost as much as she does
Top 3 from each game:
KH2:
3. Data Saix
2. Data Roxas
1. Data Xemnas
KH3:
3. Data Young Xehanort
2. Data Xemnas
1. Data Xigbar
I don't have a favorite for 3, but in 2, I definitely have a favorite.
Data Roxas.
Also, is there an audio issue? We can barely hear the music, or is that intentional?
KH3 Data Marluxia and Xemnas and KH2 Roxas are my top 3 for sure
Let’s go!!
Bro is cold, who will data Roxas have ice cream with now
I conquered the organization battles in each game. But was never able to beat Terra or Yozora.
Hm, fair and valid points and opinions, i wonder what kind of Data Battles we could get next?
By the way, say, which Organization XIII do you prefer? The Original or the True?
Also, Side-Note: I have to say, seeing Ansem fight without the Guardian, still feels strange to me,
now I understand why they decided to have Terra-Xehanort be the one to have the Guardian in a Boss Fight and he did us the Guardian before that one time in his debut Game,
But literally every Ansem Boss Fight within the Franchise before KH3, has all depicted him with the Guardian and there has be a lot of Ansem Boss Battles throughout the Series, so while Terra-Xehanort has used the Guardian too at one point before KH3, I think it would be fair to think of the Guardian to mainly belong to Ansem as his Weapon of choice, so to see him in a Boss Fight without the Guardian by his side feels really jarring to me,
Heck, I feel like they could’ve at least had Data Ansem have the Guardian by his side, since there wouldn’t necessarily be any Story reasons for why he wouldn’t,
Well, that is my opinion at least.
I was locked at 1 hp for half the fight but I beat xion on my first attempt… I was super happy
She kicked my booty so many times that when I finally won I said "THAT'S WHY YOUR FRIENDS FORGOT YOU BISH"
In what difficulty did you play this games?
Data Vexen is a lot higher than I was expecting, considering how awful he is with that constantly regenerating shield.
I enjoy your video, bro sir skyward
Will I get stabbed 13 times in the heart if kingdom hearts 3 is my favorite kingdom hearts game?
Not gonna lie it feels like that
Hum top 3 data organization boss fight vanitas, terra xehanort and xemnas from kh2 this its the best i can think of it now
Hum what its this? My coments its disapearing when i talk hum
So what i respond to it was a bot hum..?
summon stich in many of them and win is what i learned atleast in 2.5
When it comes down to KH3, my top 3 has Xemnas, Xigbar and Xion
This game has the best boss fights imho. I played a lot of soulsgames and action rpg's even Wukong but kh3 data battles and Yozora are still the best.
The hardest and best fights in my top 3 would be Xion, Ansem, and Terrahnort.
BBS Terrahnort was nothing to me, but KH3 threw HANDS.
Data xion axel and roxas left there for at least 3 months each
Oh boy, can't wait to see what the rankings are!
*sees Luxord KH3 at the bottom*
Well damn
My fave 3 are
Roxas
Lea/axel
And marluxia
Data demyx is my least favorite. My top 3 is mar, xemnas, lexaeus, i would pick roxas but you cant really air combo him, Havent got back to kh3 since i gotta a ps5 almost 2 years ago so I'll eventually get back to 3 after I'm done replaying kh2fm.
My top 3 data battles from each game are
KH2 Marluxia
KH2 Xemnas
KH2 Roxas
KH3 Dark Riku
KH3 Marluxia
KH3 Xemnas
Luxord being my favorite member, seeing him always get the lowest spot on these lists is very disappointing. Is difficult? No. Is it unique? Very. Put some respect on his name man damn. Plus that 13th Struggle Remix is dope
Larxene's Data fight in 2FM was annoying, Larxene's Data fight in 3ReMind was amazing
data xion is by far the best. unlike most of the other kh3 data org bosses, i could comprehend when my eyes were seeing.
Kh4 data sephiroth or cloud would be lit
1. Roxas 😂
2. Xion
3. Axel
For...no particular reason ;)
There are 2 kingdom hearts references in hazbin hotel...ep 6 having the kingdom hearts logo and ep 8 having the cat keekee turning into a hazbin style keyblade
Womp womp
Roxas was the hardest for me in the original, I never did data, everyone else was easy just not him, my mom had to help me prepare just so I could beat him 😂
Video starts at 3:05
Data xion is my favorite because she's my favorite character
I hope square doesn’t take the “data orgs too hard” articles seriously …. Those are mainly why I’m still invested in this backwards franchise
I mean that was the point.
lol it’s funny i hate luxords battles but i like his character i never beat kingdom hearts 3 data luxord
