Radscorpion encounters are usually bad. Like the one that will pop out at you near Starlight, that always... ALWAYS! Scares the bejeebus outta me even though I know it's there. But I did have a Deathskull walk past me once. It knew I was there, and wasn't bothered. Walked with it for a while, and helped it fight off some Ferals. Seemed like a pretty chill guy tbh ( Before you ask. There's a small chance random encounter, with a wandering non hostile Radscorpion. First time I got it, I was like LVL 91, and outside Med-tek in Medford. To say I nearly soiled myself when I first saw it strolling down the street, would be an understatement. Lol )
I think the scariest part about them is they level with you. Cause ok yeah it's got a lot of health but if your big and beefy you can just melt em. Naw, They level with you so they will always be a threat .
The Rad Scorpions teleport. There is nothing more annoying (or potentially scary) than that. I really wish there was some burrowing mechanic where we could track them or maybe shoot into the dirt. Literal instant teleportation across hundreds of yards is stupid.
Yeah, I fought one of those skull scorpions I got my butt kicked to the point where I had to lower the difficulty to stupid easy, I had brotherhood, power armor, and a laser Gatling gun on level 50. found it in the glowing sea got killed so many times but I quick saved right before I saw it. Thank you epicNate for telling me about it and repairing my confidence. by the way, I love your Contant so much you keep a very positive attitude it’s very refreshing to listen to you because a lot of channels are pretty much berserk or have a loose filter. I like that I can like listen to you on full blast in like the middle of my living room sometimes vanilla is good and you’re a very good talker with a really good filter RUclips can’t touch you, I hope you have a great rest of your year all 15 minutes of it 😂 no but seriously keep on being awesome
In my encounters with Deathskull Radscorpions, I have found that as long as you cripple their legs, they are surprisingly easy to deal with, especially if you have access to an Explosive Combat Shotgun... Just avoid getting too close (melee range), dont accidentally kill yourself with explosion damage, and keep moving. Edit: In my current playthrough, my character is currently LVL 151, so combat encounters may be a bit easier than at half that level, but I am also playing on Very Hard difficulty, so I think that makes up for it in the end...
My first two encounters with Radscorps in fallout 4 were these things, and the first one wrecked me. I fared better on the second, but it still sucked. After that, I dont think I ever saw one again. At least not that I recall.
They also follow you across the map. I pissed one off getting to Virgil's cave then Vertibird out. I land at the drive in and the damn thing bursts out of the ground.
When I first encountered them on Survival Mode they where a force to be wreckoned with. Soon as I reached 100 and above these creatures are easier to deal with but still more dangerous than a bloody behemoth😅

Honestly the only thing that scares me on my survival 70th level character are radscorpions. And now it makes sense as there is a boss version of them apparently!
Why ? Easy. People used to say Fallout 3 was easy so when Bethesda created Broken Steel they added creatures almost unkillable. Among them was an albino radscorpion and the Ghoul Reaver. He did the same thing to us back in Fallout 3 just to piss us off.
I remember one time I was doing the glowing sea quest and I was only level 17 And I got so unlucky that an albino rad scorpion popped out to ruin that instantly. The red scorpions are difficult but you can kill them pretty easily. But I swear to the f****** Lord if I get another blood bug or stingling attack, I'm going to burn them alive
The scariest part is the radscorpion poison + MedX bug that gives you a infinate -4,4 perception
My dad had that glitch. He character was a 10 Strength, 10 Endurance melee main.
Rip lmao
You said infinite, so I'm assuming it doesn't go away on its own. Is there a way to reverse the effect manually?

The cave crickets in the nuka world DLC have no right to be as strong as they are.

Such monstrosities are a reminder of the merciless nature of our wasteland. Though this one is new to me.
