Kibitz has been becoming insane for a long time. First, it was from playthrough to playthrough, then from episode to episode, but now it's from minute to minute.
This is why roads aren't square, but triangles (no high ways) or rounded out on turns. :) Basically, too many small barriers on the corners or around the stations :D On load/unload stations, I would remove 1 of the perpendicular barrier, on each corner of the big highway, 1 barrier on each side of the road, so you have more 45 degree turns and less 90 degree turns. And for the Sip'n'scoop, move the first pillar after the ramp up for the foot walkway half a tile in. Again, more 45 degree turns, less 90 degree ones for big trucks :D
A switchback would likely have been better for the massive ramp at the receiving area for the mining pit stations. The road would split off the highway at the same point, go straight out perpendicular to the highway, and then turn around and drop the rest of the way down. Ends up in the same spot, possibly has to turn around a second time which would mean it ends up facing the right direction, and looks a lot more robust than a massive ramp does. Also, if you paint each train car and each truck based on the material it's carrying, they'll look more like real shipping vehicles - albeit not organized by brand but by actual product (though with containers that can also go hand in hand anyways). The trains particularly would look nice having that, I think.
I've watched the Dev Vid talking about Update 8 and its incoming Upgrade to Unreal Engine 5, and the improvement to the World Map Tile Sectioning improvements, plus the improvements to Vehicles... SO excited for it... :D
Love the design for the gas stations! I've been trying to figure out what to do for mine and you've just given me some ideas. Keep the vids coming, love your work!
Hello from Russia. I watched a lot of Satisfactory youtubers, but you are the best among them. I really like your videos, even though + -60% I don't understand)
Dude, logistics and infrastructure are my Achilles heel. They're soooo hard to stay interested in making and the only advantage to doing it yourself is that you don't have to try to communicate what you want done to anyone else
The truck that clipped into the concrete foundation instantly draws my mind to the opening scene of Buckaroo Bonzai, where he drives through a mountain
I definitely agree that gas stations are useful. I have a whole chain of "FICSICO" stations along my highways. And there's a set of trucks and stations just to refuel the stations.
Hey john, I have similar gas station (or trying too) in my world. When I drive the truck/tractor, it refuels automatically without having to stop. On autopilot, it does not. Or do I have to make a stop/pause in the pathing? How are your vehicles behaving at your FICSICO stations (love the mane)? Thanks
@@jean-mathieudumouchel1318 I usually set up my paths with a pause. Set the station to load mode so it won't unload whatever the trucks are carrying. I've found them to be very reliable with automation. You can also fit a truck station in a blue print. I've got the whole FICSICO thing set up. Now seeing what Kibs does, I've got to up my game a bit.
I'm currently building my main road and train in the loop. Underneath my road network I plan to have 2 conveyors in opposite directions, creating 2 closed conveyor loops. This loop is exclusively for carrying fuel to 'gas stations' on my main road network. All a vehicle needs to do to get fueled up is drive on the loop.
I spent hours one time realigning my factory by 1/4 of a meter, only to discover that the factory was in fact where it should have been all along. And so it sits to this day, it sits 1/4 meter off from everything else.
Paths have always been a pain in the ass in games. I'm pretty impressed by the path system in Satisfactory. They still need some work. Move a node around and such.
I found a bug in Satisfactory, for INFINITE FUEL for jetpacking. if you run out of fuel as you add it to your inventory (by adding a singular fuel thing) on a completely empty jetpack, it will sometimes just refill when on the ground, despite ZERO FUEL THINGS in your inventory. Sometimes. My favorite fuel for jetpack is liquid biofuel, because it lasts FOREVER and is relatively precise.
Be kinda nice if you could just make a path, kinda like how you make rails, but invisible, and the trucks just follow that. And you tell the trucks where to go, like trains. That way you don't have to program every single truck
I'm fairly sure Routes only records the arrow waypoints, so stopping for a time doesn't get recorded, and even if you /don't/stop, the autopiolet will stop under truck stations to load/unload. Results in the AI driving quite a bit differently to how you record... which can very noiticable on tight corners and the like.
Just gonna say now that youve finished... its way more efficient time wise to make a route that goes to multiple pickup locations. Then just load up as many vehicles as needed on the path.
Will Sip n' Scoot ever suplpy fuel of the plutonium variety? There's no waste (for now, no idea if that's gonna changein the future), and they last 5 hours per fuel rod, going up to 7 in a Tractor.
Can't wait for de-booping to be a thing on the next update, so past Kib's screw ups take less than an hour to fix to preserve what little sanity you have left.
It looks a little bit weird because on a US Navy vessel we label our valves and types and storage with colors. Fuel is just yellow, yellow and black wood represent lube oil. I know it's a personal preference but I thought I'd let you know
but they are still radioactive which in turn will make the desert a harmful place if like 20 trucks are driving around a stack of plutonium fuel rods. also they gotta be stored somewhere before loaded up
Kibitz when they phase. I believe the go to the spot that they are supposed to be at during that recording to make sure the throughput is exactly the same. someone tell me if I am wrong
For a brief but epic moment. Kibitz was a true ghost rider.
You mean like in real life!
Yes
I really love the emphasis on fun interesting options over max efficiency for this build, so awesome to see how unique build is becoming
It’s been 7 months since your last captain of industry video. What happened kibz? (#4)
Kibitz has been becoming insane for a long time. First, it was from playthrough to playthrough, then from episode to episode, but now it's from minute to minute.
23:21 onward is my favorite part. Long live the Ghost Truck.
Also, does that make Kibz... a Ghost Rider ?
I love Sip n Scoot so much, I feel like that's what blueprints are perfect for, fun artistic indulgences.
Ghost truck's adventure had me in tears laughing
There were times when I wondered if Ghost Truck was gonna go into the ground and entomb Kibz there... :O
Ditto XD

you need a truck, whose only purpose is to refuel the truck stations
Lol
Doesn't really work bc you're forced to set the station to "unload" and it will grab stuff from the refueling trucks
@@yagorbalotsin you have it unload at a second station next to it and transfer over
Or a train; among the many trains in my save, one is a dedicated fuel train going around filling up all the truck stations.
@@yagorbalotsin just dont hit load/unload, just drive under it and it fuels
10:50 The way his hands shake like he is excited by the site of the road.
I look forward to the amount of deadlocks, crashes, and truck coffee breaks Kibz is going to have to deal with once this is all up and running.
25:00 paint it a light blue so we always know where ghost truck is 🤣
Don't worry about missing with the highway by a few centimeters, the Polish missed by five kilometers and it worked out just fine in the end (:
Hehe
nah, thats true. i can confirm as pole
I've watched the Dev Vid talking about Update 8 and its incoming Upgrade to Unreal Engine 5, and the improvement to the World Map Tile Sectioning improvements, plus the improvements to Vehicles... SO excited for it... :D
No lane is a waste. They are decor! They are style! Embrace the loops Kibs. All the loops!
You are giving me an aneurysm with the sprawl, EFFICIENT MASS TRANSIT ENJOYERS UNITE
We need the choo
Imagine efficient transportation, hahahahahaha 🇺🇸🦅🔫🫡
@@rennoc6478 Ouch, too real.
Coffee Stain: "We're not gonna add air vehicles."
Kibz: "Fine, I'll do it myself"
Okay but spending hours fixing such a "minor" mistake is such a mood. That laughter @2:44 said it all. 💀Note to self: Make WAY more backup saves.
Love the design for the gas stations! I've been trying to figure out what to do for mine and you've just given me some ideas. Keep the vids coming, love your work!
Dude...this is gonna be sooo cool! Looking amazing!
Absolutely loving this build!
I love watching Kibz and his slab of concrete on my own slab of concrete
24:47 You should def paint Ghost Truck Blue so you can always find it.
legend has it ghost truck is still floating to this day
Putting a small fluid buffer at the back of the sipn scoot might add some more interest to the build
Epic, and so close to the end... but also new beginnings i bet
If you want a bunch of movement, will you be adding Factory Carts just running around doing the movement?
this episode of ghost truck adventure was pretty good bro
Man I’d love it if it came out like some cyberpunk style city
Maby make in Wall sip and scoots?
This has so much potential and I LOVE IT

Kibz playing the same world for like 7k+ hours, still finding new bugs. Love the series!
The truck that clipped into the concrete foundation instantly draws my mind to the opening scene of Buckaroo Bonzai, where he drives through a mountain
This is turning more into a city builder than a factory builder.
I saw your Sip n' Scoot and made one myself in-game. I love them so much, you should add WAY MORE OF THESE absoLUTELY EVERYWHERE!
Kibitz is crazy... now hes playing Cities Skylines in Satisfactory
I seriously need to see this space bridge Kibz. Im so ready for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome as always, and congrats again on going to LTX!
I did this in a previous play through with tractors, its awesome, seeing tractors zipping around the dunes.
Ghost truck part had literal LOLs involved.
7:17 Fuel depot smiles at you awkwardly. :)

Builds highways for trucks.
I love satisfying content, thank you for making content on this great game.

Oooooooh i am getting Transport Tycoon vibes here and i love it 🤩
You had me laughing so hard with that ghost truck gag!

If you didn't know, you can hide the blue nodes in the Truck menu if you want
Kibz is making a colourful version of Geidi Prime (industrialized hellscape homeworld of the Harkonnens from DUNE) inside the DUNE Desert 👀
Ghost truck was awesome.

how do you build and drag the platforms out ? I have to build them one at a time by pointing and clicking
