Stunning, just abso-freaking-ly stunning. Can't -- just wow! Thank you so much for sharing this! Brings tears to my eyes. The engine room, shuttle bay, holodecks, hydroponic garden and a few other little things are still missing, but what can be seen so far has been done really well 💯👍💪
I love the interior design from this era of Star Trek. Its practical and believable, but also comfortable looking. Which is what you would want for long voyages in space!
This is the most detailed and complete walk-through video I've probably ever seen...!!! Delightful...!!! Congratulations for all the (I guess) hard work...!!! A real labor of love!!! ❤👏👏👏👏👏
Very nicely done. Voyager has always been my favorite spaceship and the series the only Star Trek I watch over and over. How I wish this could be a walk around simulator.
i love this so much you could do a 10h video for ASMR and white noise and i for one would be extremely grateful and i love the passionate attention to detail. you know something like walking room to room slowly taking the time to look around slowly so we get to see all the places we love from the show.
You just made an almost forty year old man jump like a child screaming "I can see the outside of the ship through the window!!" Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! 😁 You made my day with this animation 🙂
This is fantastic. IMO Voyager was the best looking ship, inside and out, from all the ST shows. It also highlights the horrid design of the new shows, with the ship interiors lit up with every conceivable light, display and shiny surface. It hurts the eyes. I way prefer the subdued aesthetic they had in the 90s.
I worry that once you reach out to CBS, or they become aware of this project on their own, they will come after you and demand this video and/or any subsequent project/projects never see the light of day again 😬 This project is amazing, and you’ve done SUCH a spectacular job bringing Voyager to life! Thank you for sharing this with us!!
Oh it's not illegal untill he sells it, and I'm sure they'll co-operate on a project. A VR version of this and I'll never leave my apartment again. haha
As someone who has produced and directed a full-feature animated space show for cinema, I know how much work it takes just to create the animated sequences that loop on the ship screens, let alone everything else (considering those sequences are the easiest part of the job). I am stunned by your work and I applaud your patience and effort. U.S.S Voyager is by far my favorite ship in the Star Trek universe. I modeled it many times myself just for my own amusement and I know how hard it is to pin it down as opposed to most other Federation ships. I absolutely loved your work. I also noticed some creative improvements you have made to the ship, like the main viewscreen on the bridge. I think it looks brilliant. I will follow your work and can't wait to see the rest of the ship. Please don't be discouraged by some comments ignorant people make as they are not created equal ;) However, please keep in mind that Paramount is a greedy beast who can shut you down. In 2014 after releasing our film we sent them a proposal for an animated series of Voyager. They didn't only hit us with billions of legal threats, they adopted the storyline of our film into their universe and released it as Star Trek Beyond. Just be careful dealing with them.
Oh my word, this is indescribably beautiful! Congratulations, Daniel - your ten years of hard work are very much on display here. There is undeniable love in this work. I'm awe struck. 😍
Thats just amazing. There are some rooms (toilets etc.) wich were never shown in the series. So many details and the textures, lights etc. look really good. Also the exterior details like the sensor array etc. Im excited to see the other parts like engineering, holodecks and shuttlebay etc.
I can't get over just how impressive this is! The attention to detail is phenomenal! The way light reflects off surfaces and especially in regards to the gold leaf on that Klingon artwork in the captains quarters was top notch work! Well done. It originally was the captain‘s private mess hall, to dine with guests. Neelix just took it and remodeled it. Makes me wonder where the crew was supposed to eat normally
Oh thanks,. I've seen the entire series, but that was quite a while ago and didn't recall it being converted for general use. Also, good question about where the regular mess was.@@viciousyeen6644
Please for the love of god hire a decent attorney before even asking for licensing, this is a beautiful piece of work and the last thing id want to see is CBS stealing your idea and passing it to some shitty studio to make instead. You may have a good relationship from past projects you were involved in but CBS are a horrible, untrustworthy, company. I remember the shit Raven software went through to make their Voyager game and the licence alone was in the 6/7 figure mark.
I'm almost at a loss for words. I've dabbled in Maya and more recently Blender over the years, but I have produced nothing with the level of detail and quality of this. The textures and lighting give it so much life, it's easy to forget this isn't the original set. I'm a huge Voyager nerd and have dreamed about seeing something like this. Thank you so much for dedicating so many years to this project. Truly amazing to see this, hardly can wait for the day I get to explore this.
I've just been watching your previous video as well. I'm just in awe of the detail. I remember playing Elite Force which was built on the Quake 3 engine I think, and at the time I was impressed that you could go up to panels and they looked somewhat right. This right here would be a childhood dream come true. It's not just the objects and geometry you've built, it's not just the textures, it's not just the lighting, it's the fact that it all comes together cohesively and looks just like it would on the show. You've got the right amount of glow from certain objects and light sources. I understand your caution about releasing anything after the ill-fated Stage 9 project for the Enterprise D was C&D'd. I think you're taking the right approach. I've subscribed and will be keeping an eye out for more videos as they come.
Voyager is my favourite Star Trek series :) Your dedication and passion is very evident and I salute you :) I would love a home built around the design of some of the Voyager sets and style! :D
Amazing! I was already awestruck when running through the interior of the Voyager in Elite Forge some 20 years back. Image that game now... Keep on the incredible work!
The thing that most impresses me, to be honest, is the reflections on all the black glass surfaces. Like the LCARS interfaces or even the trim on the chair in the VIP quarters. I'm not sure how you did it, but it looks more realistic than any others I've seen. Looking forward to future updates!
Holy cow! This is exactly what my brain needed. If I could describe a perfect way to really examine ST ships, this would be it. Thanks so much for sharing!
Daniel, your modeling and animation talents are fantastic. The labor of work impossible to imagine. May I suggest however when you make a video (like this one), to spend a few extra minutes in the presentation? Meaning, instead of just live recording the model as you move around to see it's features, you actually set a CAMERA PATH to each location....making the video smoother to watch. A lot of model animators miss this presentation step and the jerky movement throughout is distracting from the amazing work you are attempting to show. Simply keyframe out the camera locations (as seen in your video) and allow the animation to render out the middle steps. The result will be "glorious" (Klingon) and take your great work to the next level.
Just.... contact a studio trying to make some startrek game with this. So many startrek fans have been longing for a game with proper "whole ship" simulation.
You are insane! This is absolutely stunning!!! Please tell me when you release this there is some way to run it in VR!!! I am always so blown away by the love and talent of Star Trek fans! Dont give up keep workin!
Someone else already said this, but yeah, be careful with CBS or Paramount. They already shut down those guys at Stage 9. And their work on 1701-D was phenomenal. This is fantastic work on Voyager. I'd absolutely love to give this a go. Cough, when it's licensed and a million percent legal.
This is way too cool, I hope there will be an agreement with cbs to turn it into some type of simulator. Perhaps some kind of extended version of bridge commander, where you also switch between roles of bridge crew (the usual bridge stuff), engineering (damage control throughout the entire ship etc.), science (puzzle game like problem solving inside the labs) and medical (tending the wounded throughout the entire ship) during a mission, instant character switch like in gta 5.
Wow, breathtaking! I really love the LCARS GUIs. I'ts a pity that they didn't continue to use this GUI-style for newer Star Trek movies and series (e.g., Star Trek: Picard)...
Way. To. Go! This is the best flushed out presentation if a ST ship ive ever seen. Suddenly, Voyager has a scale! They so rarely show us the real size of these things, or how they're laid out.
Freaking fantastic work!!! Amazing! The realism you captured is astounding!!!! I hope you do more Starships!!! Please do the TOS Starship and Motion Picture!!! Some Kilngon ships would be cool too! So talented thank you for sharing!!!
this is amazing work!💗 It's so cool to see inside and walk around the ship. What were those red glowing tubes in the engineering office? i've only noticed them on the show a couple times and thought they were just decoration--but they look to be simulating the nacelle plasma flow maybe??? The EV suits were amazing --you did an awesome job--i'm speechless 💗
Just amazing. Not sure what else to say. You're very talented at what you do. I'm astonished at the detail I see and can't fathom how much painstaking detail goes into what I don't see. Bravo to you!
This is brilliant and amazing and exactly what Paramount should produce and sell. Therefore they will issue a cease and desist and bury it so neither it nor anything like it ever sees the light of day.
I like how you show the bathrooms and the toilets, which for some strange reason they never showed on the show, not one scene of a crew member sitting on the toilet when a red alert happens, and you know, that had to have happened at some time, excellent job.
In a more current day answer, being in the US Navy. It always happens when you’re just sitting down to eat, on the toilet or in the shower. Never fails…
This is amazing! Voyager is by far my favorite of the series that have aired - and I am old enough to have been raised on TOS. It was so so cool to see the perspective of Tuvok & Kim from the bridge... to see over the entire bridge & the view screen... What an experience! Also, I hadn't a clue there were science stations left & right of the view screens tucked away... Hadn't ever noticed them before... Makes me want to go back & watch the series again just to spot them :D This is amazing work, I as many others I'm sure - want to thank you for your dedication to this project to bring this experience to everyone! Man, imagine this in VR.... Oh my am I excited now... Do you have any thoughts on releasing this as a downloadable so it could be experienced as that? Has me all giddy! Thanks again Mr Brainbox :D
I would love for you to create this with the enterprise E exploring my favourite ship it’s amazing how you have done this such great detail! VR would be awesome for this too!
Great work Daniel - when i see this great athosphere in your work. It would be so great to have aother TNG Star Trek Game. Most wishesd DS9 or Voyager :)
Dude..nooo, just no. I mean what the heck?! This looks unbelievable good, I cannot even comprehend how amazing this all looks. It is SO unfair that you made this and we are not able to enjoy this in like a VR game or at least setting. Like I said your work is amazing and you keep improving and Voyager is getting more and more detail and depth. Keep up the good work!
Oh my goodness! This is amazing! Great work, I can only begin to imagine the amount of time, learning curves and challenges you had to endure to put this together. Beautiful - thank you. It also reminds me greatly of the work that Stage 09 did for the Enterprise D (RIP) - I'd love to learn how to revive that project.
Hi Daniel! First of all. Fantastic work. It's truly marvelous to behold. The video is not too long, I enjoyed every minute of it. :) I do have a design question that peaks my interest. It's about the restrooms on deck 2. Is see 5 sinks in a huge room, but only one toilet and when we cut through the exterior, we see an escape pod right about the toilet. Sorry for nitpicking, but I was wondering what that was about. Looking forward to more content! Thanks! It's really beautiful, keep up the good work!
thank you, the reason why there is just one toilet is because there is no more place for more as the area behind the toilet is actually an access corridor to the escape pods which you can reach from the other side but due to many complaints about this from other people i have started to redesign this whole area. I have replaced the toilet with an access corridor and have placed three toilets at the end of that corridor. Once this is all ready i will show it in one of the nextr videos.
@@DanielBrainboxThank you for your response! Sounds good! Sorry I'm one of those complainers. :p I know it's a work in progress, so I'm looking forward to the next iteration!
This is unreal. ....! Voyager is my Fav, it simply gave you everything you wanted in Star Trek... for me. I am in no way taking away from your video, but.. in my mind, I felt the interior was bigger in the mess hall, was it me just remembering it bigger, or is that "give or take" the size? You got to do an Excelsior Class.
This looks amazing, I really hope when you're done with it CBS will let you release it. They tend to be so annoying refusing projects like these all the time and it frustrates me how they don't see potential in projects like this and usually shut them down, keep doing what you're doing as you enjoy it :)
I have never wanted to live inside a virtual environment more
Yeah, and now you know where you would find the bathroom.

Simply breathtaking!! I'm in awe of your work! Thank you so much for this.
Im going VR just to explore this gem.
This is amazing.😊
Great work Daniel - when i see this great athosphere in your work. It would be so great to have aother TNG Star Trek Game. Most wishesd DS9 or Voyager :)
I'll play it once it's released, this is amazing work.
Omg so wonderful work. Keep it up, this is insane. This could be next "Stage9" project, but with Voyager.
yes apply for a license. keep up the good work
This is insane. And spot on in so many ways. Excellent work.
wooow!! incredible what you've created 😲
thank you so much for this journey ❤
will we be able to walk around the ship with VR one day?
Simply amazing! Excellent work! Makes want to sit on one of these toilets and listen to the ship‘s background humming.
With this speed will meet again in a couple years as we get closer to Pandora.Perfect footage, stay safe😃❤
This is absolutely amazing. I hope you'll get to launch it!
Absolutely amazing! So much detail!
This looks amazing, I really hope when you're done with it CBS will let you release it. They tend to be so annoying refusing projects like these all the time and it frustrates me how they don't see potential in projects like this and usually shut them down, keep doing what you're doing as you enjoy it :)
