I just love how the two officers are just staring at this guy who is pulling out all this crap from his pockets, pockets that should have already been searched and the items confiscated, bagged and tagged and just simply ask, "who the fuck are you?"

@@johnmcauliffe8824 Not struggling like some actors , he just wasn't big enough and his directing gigs weren't received well.
This movie had one killer casting. They didn't focus on "Big Names that bring in the audience" instead they focused on "Big Names that know how to act, and act well" which makes for any movie an instant classic if the script is good. I mean, Odenkirk, Ironside, Lloyd, all amazing actors.
Believe me, the movie might be underrated now, but in 10 years everyone will still be talking about it one way or another.

I heard about it, totally missed it in cinemas (because 2021...) and once it came out - I HAD to see his work. And man, you are 100% right here - this movie is such a cool show off, has so much comedy backed in and just frickin' works. Very wholesome, funny, even _real_ and sometimes... well, sometimes it's complete and utter fiction =) Loved the entire thing
Nobody isnt THAT good as in people will be talking about it in 10 years, but its a pretty awesome movie.

I love the way there are so many connections in this movie, from one moment to another.

And then at the end of the movie he finds the cat in an air duct in the same room
It subtle little details like that which make Nobody so good
Pulling a kitten out of his jacket was the perfect way to make the audience instantly like him.
I liked him from the moment the can opener came out, and the kitten was just gravy. ;-)
Even though this was just John Wick with a guy pushing 60, I still enjoyed every goddamn minute of it,
Odenkirk, his commitment to the physicality of the role and the fight cinematography were all A+.
It is more of death wish from Charles Bronson than John Wick. Though John Wick is a continuation of the vigilante violent genre that Bronson spear headed back in the 70s. If you like this, look up some of Bronson's movies.
@@hackthegibsons9815 Right on, I loved the Deathwish movies. This movie was a real treat, a modern blast from the past. If ever there was a guilty pleasure, this is it :-D (I'm the most anti-violent guy you'll meet, maybe it has something to do with it haha)

I think he is more than John Wick to be honest.
We know the Government side (not the gangsters side) has more "assets" and "heavy" assets at that, also more "open" and accessible operations and have "leverage" than the gangsters as the government dictates what is and what is not legal.
We know the Government only lets the gangsters run amok where and when they want them to.
The fact "Nobody" was operating on the side of the Government he is not only more heavily funded (unlimited funds), heavily supported (limitless assets) and still actively supported makes this NOBODY a heavier hitter than John Wick.

Honestly, this was a gem of a movie. Way underrated. Lol! Bob Odenkirk was really quite amazing in this and made you feel for him as a seemingly weak sap, who just was having a bad day at first. Action was good, fight scenes amazing, and even though it was like a play off John wick, but comedic, I could it see anyone other than Bob doing this and it coming out right. 😎

It’s John wick style movie because it’s made by the same people.
The second part was kinda stupid. If they would just skip that "John Wick" part it would kinda cool. Like if it was all about some dude that just snaped and started to crush skulls of everyone who hurt him and not some super duper secret agent in hiding and gets back to business or whatever.
To be fair, John Wick didn't exactly create the trope of "killer assassin coming out of retirement because someone wronged him"... that's been around for at least 40 years of cinema.
I have a growing suspision someone messed up the pat down....

One ☝️ of the best intros to a movie I’ve ever seen - and one of the best movies I’ve ever seen too
I regret not finding a theater that was showing this. I watched it on streaming and the opening immediately hooked me with having to find out about this guy. Imagine if they skipped this scene and how many viewers would have clocked out with the slow exposition.

Great movie. Entertaining! Nice seeing action scenes not cut up to hell or shaky-cam BS. Definitely recommend! Also, Christopher Lloyd is a total badass in this movie!

Had this film on my watch list for about 6 weeks, not sure if I really wanted to watch it, then at the weekend I said to the wife lets give this a go, BRILLIANT, best film I've watched for some time, if you have not seen this give it a go.
the scenes in this movie just prove this guy got a big heart under the cold face the fact he put a cat of tuna for a kitty while cuffed and when he say "This girl's gonna be home safe" fucking legend.
What I was impressed at is not the tuna can and the cat, but the fact that this dude brought a can opener. A can opener.
Cause every vigilante carries a can of tuna and a can opener in their pocket just in case.
Only if they have a cat in the other pocket, and, GIVE-ME-THE-GAWD-XXXX-KITTY-KAT BRACELET!!!!!!!!!

Taking the good "guy rescues cat" trope to a whole new level.
This movie needs a sequel. Hell, I'd put money in to see it happen.
I'm still mad they never made a sequel to Unbreakable.

Loved the movie, I think Bob and everyone else involved in the making of the movie did a good job,,,a movie that I`ll gladly watch again.
I loved Nobody. Just a dumb, schlocky, self-aware action movie without any moralizing or preaching. Just a couple solid hours of escapism.
How was it dumb? It was extremely cinematic.

@@comebackguy8892 He doesn't mean dumb in a bad way. He means dumb as in "you don't have to have a high IQ to enjoy this movie". Some movies try too hard to be intelligent, and end up being film versions of an english essay. It's nice to have a movie that you can completely enjoy without having to overanalyze every scene.

This movie was way better than it had any right to be. I thought it was going to some gimmicky version of John Wick, but I was quite surprised by how it turned out.
it teetered on the edge of spoofing john wick. having him just get his ass kicked, everything falling apart, and not being sexy cool was how they pulled it off. Very tough to walk that line.
It's better than Wick IMHO. Has a great story-line, acting etc.

If this beginning and title card were the trailer, I would be very intrigued and willing to see it. The non-verbal communication from actors and the choice of music are on point.
