Hi Nikki and Steven! Ilya Naishuller here, director of Nobody. Thank you for watching Nobody and making this video. I loved how much of a good time you guys had, watching your reactions made me really happy! Especially Nikki's reaction to the 'chair in the face' moment. Pure joy. Thanks again and good luck!
Holy shit, it's really you! I always wondered, do directors of movies look reactions to their stuff nowadays, or not) I mean, it's really cool! Love your art very much, you are the one of those artists, who inspired me to try directing myself too.
I loved everything about this movie! Instantly became one of my top 10s of all time. The bus scene obviously is incredible, the grandpa in the chair shooting scene is genius, and the music ties it all together as just a fun, creative, highly entertaining movie.

If I'm not mistaken, she's played by the director's wife. Also: it's not about leaving trail (he probably paid her before, the trail already exists). But she is not willing to stay another minute to collect her money, and the fact that she even goes to her boss before running out of the building just shows how brave she is.
There are NOT ENOUGH WORDS for how much I loved this fucking movie. I love how the beginning starts as this slow meditation about a man turning his back on violence for his family and how dull his life is, but then the itch comes back and he falls more and more into hyper-violence to the point it basically becomes Looney Toons lol. But you can see him just come to life and you know that that's just who he is, what makes him truly happy. Same goes for his dad and brother, they're natural killers. My fave part is the bus fight where he's clearly rusty and throws himself into a punch just to remember what it feels like, and it's bliss for him haha. A+ movie in my books!!!
No truer words. It's a ridiculous and ridiculously AWESOME movie. I thought it was impossible to love Bob Odenkirk more but his performance here put that notion to bed!

Apparently the core concept of this came out of Bob's house being robbed, and his anger about not being able to do anything about it. Also, this is from the director of Hardcore Henry.
Damn this was awesome. Odenkirk and Keanu Reeves are both on a very short list of the most unique and unexpected action stars in Hollywood right now. Oh bitch this movie was GOOD!
Keanu has been doing action scenes ever since the start of his career. I believe his first action movie was Brotherhood Of Justice in 1986 where he belongs to a group of vigilantes that went too far and he fights them.
FYI ‘Nobody’: Script for Potential Sequel Is in the Works. YES!!! A series of elements in the film have hinted that it is a part of the John Wick franchise, with which it also shares the writer Derek Kolstad and director Ilya Naishuller. I think the Assassin Cinematic Universe might become a reality :D
I really hope so, if it is I can imagine if John Wick, Nobody and a few main assassin characters join forces to take down The High Table, even though Wick is basically a one man army.
When I first saw the trailer for this,I couldn't believe this was Bob Odenkirk because I was so used to seeing him as Saul Goodman...he proved he's much more than Saul and being a comedian..Bought this on 4K when it came out and was not disappointed in it at all..highly entertaining movie...So glad you guys got around to reacted to it.

Hey guys, love your content, obviously this one included. Just wanted to point out that Harry, the sniper, is actually a rapper. And a very important rapper as well, if I might add. He's RZA from the Wu-Tang Clan. As is known, WU-TANG CLAN AIN'T NOTHING TO FUCK WITH!
One of my favorite movies of this year. It's very brutal and just the level of damage he takes makes it better because he's believable as an assassin but also it invests you more that he's not invincible.
Bob did His own stunts in this and He should get some type of award for them. I would love to see this as a 'John Wick' style 'Nobody' franchise, but honestly, this Film just stands on its own as a complete visual feast! Couldn't believe the ridiculous levels of bada$$ery Bob unleashed on first watch. So many rumours flying around that 'Hutch Mansell'(He didn't have a character Surname on the IMDb page when this came out, so may be a clue to validity) will be in 'John Wick 4', but haven't found any official confirmation, and can't see Mr. Odenkirk squeezing it in between shooting the last season of BCS and His recovery... ...But who knows?
The tattoo she wears on her wrist is the hallmark of special military units. It is often worn by Navy Seals and Rangers. Anyone can get it tattooed, but not everyone is worthy of it. That's why the guy from this "hollow" thanked him immediately and then barricaded himself immediately - he also had to be a war veteran (maybe he fought in Vietnam) and he knew what was going to happen in a moment;)
-If your talking about the tattoo of the "7 of Spades & 2 of Diamonds". Its actually a reference to the US DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency)'s Most-Wanted Members PIPC (Personality Identification Playing Cards) Protocol for the US led Coalition to easily identify Saddam Hussein's key players within the government after the invasion in 2003. The highest, most dangerous, and with the ut most importance were given the "Aces, Kings Queens, & Jacks" of all suits. While all other subjects who were affiliated and subject to the same targeting were given the "10-2" cards of all suits. But also you gotta think this was early on in the invasion and was very common and was widely known Troops played cards to pass the time so CO's and NCO's both alike figured it'd be perfect time to bring back an old Protocol of the DIA. -But another bit of added history here, what a lot of people don't know is Iraq wasn't actually where the use of the "playing cards" for PIPC originated from, In fact its had been used 3 times prior, THE FIRST EVER being throughout the American Civil War. Then during World War II following the Pearl Harbor Attack, Army Air Corps decks printed these "playing cards" with the silhouettes of German and Japanese fighter aircraft for the PIPC Protocol. The last use of these "playing cards" PIPC Protocol was during the Korean War. -To put it into more perspective though even though Targets were already divided and given respective playing cards, it goes beyond that. Because Each Suit of cards represented a specific group of people (in which depending on how its going to be to take them out they are separated accordingly). When you break that down, Its even furthermore widely known anyone Identified with any Spade card, its mere suicide going after that target no matter how many people you bring simply because of the blow back that'll come with. While Clovers Targets come after Spades, Hearts after Clovers, and Diamonds after Hearts. What I'm saying is Targets with a Spade or Clover playing card Identifier is a Suicide mission while Targets with a Hearts or Diamonds is still very dangerous just not as costly. Now its up to the viewer to presume which card came first, but based on how the "2 of Diamonds looks a bit faded compared to the 7 of Spades" I can almost say IMO, I would say the protagonist had completed a "2 of Diamonds" Target first then sometime at somepoint completed a "7 of Spades" Target forcing them into hiding with a new identity and a new life, one of which is clearly hidden from the family. I hope this helps anyone better understand kind of a bit more information surrounding the tattoo around the "Playing Cards", and if anyone dares to ask how or why I bothered to type this even though no one asked, well someone will eventually ask, and I come from a long line Military Family + I went to college for 2 years studying to become a history teacher, prior to dropping out and taking over a Family Business after somethings happened.
@@NotJustPersian - ROTFLAMO 😂😂😂 It literally has nothing to do with that! 7-2 off suit is the worst possible hold card hand in Texas Hold’em Poker. The significance is that Hutch can handle the worst situations. Also, the placement of the tattoo is up his sleeve where a poker player might normally hide a pair of aces. Instead, he has the worst hand possible.
This is the anti-Wick. So totally missed the life that "God please let them on the bus." So had no reason to go off. So lethal but not "refined lethal" like Wick. Everything John Wick the person was not... everyone knows Wick.. nobody knows this guy. But just as good in it's own right. Nobody will ever talk about Hutch killing three men with a pencil. They just shudder and turn away.
He may not elicit an "oh" from mob bosses, but those that know are even more scared of him than anybody who's heard of John Wick Edited to add: intelligence and conspiracy communities have rumors about ghosts, people like Hutch, so if somebody does recognize signs of a ghost, of course they're gonna shit themselves, it's like meeting death in a bad mood and living to tell the tale.
Wow, Nikki! Your true personality came out! You guys did a better job of editing than most that I have seen. You included little snips of seemingly innocuous moments that were so meaningful and set the tone. One that I missed though, "I came for the show." Kudos!
I hate that it took me this long to catch your reactions to this! I absolutely loved it! You both touched on the same emotions and points that I did when I first watched it. A truly great movie in writing, execution and casting. Thanks a lot you guys for having this channel and having fun watching these films. Hope you both have a great New Year!
This movie was freaking awesome. I'm really glad you enjoyed it, as well. Nobody has to be one of my favorite action comedies of all time. Bob was perfect for the role. Nikki's reaction to the guy in the hospital bed getting hit in the head by the chair made Monster Energy come out of my nose because I was laughing so hard. Thank you for another awesome video 😎😎😎😎😎
6:24 I've had plenty of moments when I was just so pissed off about something that I would start punching walls or trees no problem and then wake up the next morning with a crazy swollen fist and still go to work.
This is one of the few movies that I genuinely felt completely gripped by, it was just so entertaining. I only really watch TV shows nowadays but man, this was worth it.
Here's some more great revenge movies- "A Man Apart", "Lucky Number Slevin", "I Am Wrath", and "Death Sentence". I also recommend "WAR", "Shoot Em Up" and "Ninja Asassin" for some incredible action!
I will say that the Wife, Connie Nielson, was tragically under used. She's a phenomenal actress (Basic, Gladiator, Devil's Advocate) and could have easily been a stronger part in the film.
I absolutely love this movie! I purchased it, and every once in awhile I watch it for the story, the wit and the music. It's clever and just never stops entertaining; it's just so much fun. People need to watch past the credits for the little add on and I"m glad you captured it here. There is so much going on in each scene, that you really do need to watch it multiple times just to get it all.
You didn't show it but I still break up over the part of the bus fight where he's using the yellow cord to choke the guy and the "stop requested" sign is flashing.
Better than JOHN WICK. NOBODY offers context to the average viewer. They live in a normal house, in a normal neighborhood, and have normal jobs. We immediately relate to them.
Nikki's reaction to "Nobody" is wonderful (ah - bitch - eeh - bitch - oh - biiitch - uh - ih...) and I would love to see her react to William Fichtner as The Accountant in "Drive Angry" (Nicholas Cage, Amber Heard, 2011).
Nikki's got a little dark side.... As people are getting chopped to pieces she's laughing and screaming "I love this!" over and over. She's freaking awesome. I don't know whether I'm more entertained by the movie or her reaction! You guys are great!
Considering that that claymore mine or its equivalent literally went off at almost point-blank range, I'm honestly amazed there was anything left, to hit that wall. And the scenes with Christopher Lloyd were just perfect This movie is screaming sequel, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was tied in with the John Wick universe itself.
Such a good flick. Saw it twice in the theater and even asked for the movie poster when it was done. Bought the blue ray the day it came out. Probably watched it at least a dozen time since then. "I hope these assholes like hospital food." Should go down as one of the greatest movie lines ever.
This is the sort of film where you'd love to see an end credits scene where the guy opens a small case, to reveal 'John Wick' storyline gold coins. Have tie ins to a bunch of movies and shows that put it all into a conjoined universe. Shit... Even try to convince Bruce Willis to give one more cameo a go, where his John McClane character is relaxing on a South American beach, and pays for his mean with a golden coin, to mix in so many cinematic worlds
saw this in theater and had to go back the next day. wonderful...and Pops!!! he was amazing | Long time update...loved having him "Flip" after his daughter couldn't find her Kitty Cat Bracelet. the only one in the family who respects him.
Bob Odenkirk never steers you wrong. This is one of, if not THE, best and most creative action movies ever. In my opinion the guys on the bus where something for him to take his frustration out on. Like the kids that broke into his house picked the wrong house to break onto, he picked the wrong person/people to totally kick the shit out of.
BEST REACTION ON YT I HAVE EVER SEEN LITERALLY SAID EVERYTHING THAT I WAS THINKING all because of this one reaction i have subbed , liked and might just join membership
I usually don't get into action films, but GAWD DAMN, is this fun! Bob Odenkirk is so good here, such a departure from Mr. Show, and even BCS....if Saul had been a meaner bad ass. Just love it.
It's called a Claymore mine and yeah, setting one off in front of yourself, well, one side says, "Towards Enemy" the other side still going to move backwards explosively.
Watched an interview a few days back, as this is made by the Guys who made John Wick, but a different studio, it is quite possible that Nobody and JW are in the same universe. Thus there is a possibility of a crossover movie. Also the actor on the bus (broken teeth) is also in JW as the head of security for Tarasov. Also remember when Die Hard came out Bruce Willis was the opposite of the likes Schwarzenegger and Stallone.
the device on the table at the club was a claymore mine. if you noticed on the front it said FACE TOWARD ENEMY, it only blows in that direction. 600 ball bearings in a 60-degree arc. they shred people

He also has a band "Biting Elbows". Fuckiiing awesome punk music
Oh man, Nikki's reaction of pure delight just nurtures the soul.
oh shite i didn't realise Bob was ill. glad he's doing better now. great reaction Nikki & Steve! looks like an entertaining film too
Believe he had a heart attack, glad he is okay now though
This movie saved his life
FYI ‘Nobody’: Script for Potential Sequel Is in the Works.
Nikki laughing when the chair hits that guy's face in the hospital is what made me rewind his video 5 freakin' times...made the whole video!
Went and saw this in the theater with my girlfriend a few months back. Bob never ceases to amaze me with his acting. Very underrated.
This movie was so amazing and so glad it won the vote so you guys could experience it!
08:22 Guy: "Is it bad?"
Me: "It's bad."
Nikki and Steven: "It's bad."
Goon on the bus: "It's bad."
Me: Laughs hysterically at everyone saying the same thing.
Interestingly enough, they actually did a test on the grenade in a press, and it just squished the grenade, which broke into pieces before it could blow up.
I have this image of John Wick and Hutch walking past each other and just giving each other a respectful nod.
Odenkirk squeezing it in between shooting the last season of BCS and His recovery... ...But who knows?
to my understanding this is the same universe as the John Wick stories
@@Mama-Dee1969 I heard the same thing. Possible crossover
@@StopReadingMyNameOrElse sequel is currently in the works :D made a comment somewhere here lol
I would die if there was a meetup, and John said "Hey Hutch" and Hutch said " Hey John"
@@Cookieboy70 are you trying to kill me this would be the best thing ever lol
Bottom Line: Whether it's Arya telling you she's "No-one" or Hutch saying he's "Nobody", GTFO! 😂
When someone says “Oh” very nervous and scared, that’s also a sign to GTFO!
@@jalenellis3594 - LOL, TRUE! 😄
Yeah, don't walk, run.
@@NotJustPersian - ROTFLAMO 😂😂😂
It literally has nothing to do with that! 7-2 off suit is the worst possible hold card hand in Texas Hold’em Poker. The significance is that Hutch can handle the worst situations. Also, the placement of the tattoo is up his sleeve where a poker player might normally hide a pair of aces. Instead, he has the worst hand possible.
When Christopher Lloyd said "Remember who we were Hutchie? I do." I was like what the fuck do you mean?
One thing that made this so good was how much of the action Bob did himself. He trained seriously hard to get believably badass.
I loved this movie so much after watching it I went to Amazon Prime and bought it. I've already watched it many many times.
Nikki's reaction to that first fight scene was AWESOME! And then Steven, "CLEARLY he's just nobody." Hilarious!
This movie deserves a sequel! THE STORY IS SO GOOD!
You get your wish August 2025.
The smile on pop’s face when the mobsters are in his room. The “oh shit!” moment when they see it. Very nice!
This is the anti-Wick.
So totally missed the life that "God please let them on the bus."
So had no reason to go off.
So lethal but not "refined lethal" like Wick.
Everything John Wick the person was not... everyone knows Wick.. nobody knows this guy.
But just as good in it's own right.
Nobody will ever talk about Hutch killing three men with a pencil. They just shudder and turn away.
He may not elicit an "oh" from mob bosses, but those that know are even more scared of him than anybody who's heard of John Wick
Edited to add: intelligence and conspiracy communities have rumors about ghosts, people like Hutch, so if somebody does recognize signs of a ghost, of course they're gonna shit themselves, it's like meeting death in a bad mood and living to tell the tale.
Which one would you rather be; the guy known as Baby Yaga and everyone know and respects due to fear or the guy nobody knows?
He also chooses to get back ON the bus after getting thrown through the window. He could just as easily have walked away
When Boyd Crowder loves
NOBODY you know you did something good with yourself.
7:15 Yeah. No. At any stage of my life, no matter how young or tough, I am running if someone picks a fight like this!
If you noticed, his name on his DOD file is "Nobody". So, he wasn't lying when they would ask him who he was and he kept saying, "Me? I'm Nobody"😂😂😂
A Claymore mine has 700 steel ball bearings. They WILL leave a mark.
Decided to take a shot every time Nikki said "Bitch!". Writing this from the hospital.
Here's some more great revenge movies- "A Man Apart", "Lucky Number Slevin", "I Am Wrath", and "Death Sentence". I also recommend "WAR", "Shoot Em Up" and "Ninja Asassin" for some incredible action!
this movie was so awesome want more of this character
Same
Same
I will say that the Wife, Connie Nielson, was tragically under used. She's a phenomenal actress (Basic, Gladiator, Devil's Advocate) and could have easily been a stronger part in the film.
I love how much Nikki loved this! XD
Your faces throughout this movie are GOLD 😂
Better than JOHN WICK. NOBODY offers context to the average viewer. They live in a normal house, in a normal neighborhood, and have normal jobs. We immediately relate to them.
Nikki's reaction to "Nobody" is wonderful (ah - bitch - eeh - bitch - oh - biiitch - uh - ih...) and I would love to see her react to William Fichtner as The Accountant in "Drive Angry" (Nicholas Cage, Amber Heard, 2011).
This gives a whole new and brilliant meaning to the 'casting against type' trope.Bob was the over the top choice for this role!
And the scenes with Christopher Lloyd were just perfect
This movie is screaming sequel, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was tied in with the John Wick universe itself.
this movie is "john wick" meets "falling down". loved this movie.
Such a good flick. Saw it twice in the theater and even asked for the movie poster when it was done. Bought the blue ray the day it came out. Probably watched it at least a dozen time since then. "I hope these assholes like hospital food." Should go down as one of the greatest movie lines ever.
Thank you for this reaction. It was like re-watching all over again. I miss people being enthusiastic for movies.
This is the sort of film where you'd love to see an end credits scene where the guy opens a small case, to reveal 'John Wick' storyline gold coins. Have tie ins to a bunch of movies and shows that put it all into a conjoined universe. Shit... Even try to convince Bruce Willis to give one more cameo a go, where his John McClane character is relaxing on a South American beach, and pays for his mean with a golden coin, to mix in so many cinematic worlds
err... typo much.. 'pays for his meal'
saw this in theater and had to go back the next day. wonderful...and Pops!!! he was amazing | Long time update...loved having him "Flip" after his daughter couldn't find her Kitty Cat Bracelet. the only one in the family who respects him.
This has to be my favorite reaction for this film. I bought it right after watching this!!! You folks are the best!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Best language spoken by Nikki "Beetch! Beetch? Beeeetch!!"
Omg Iove this movie so much , glad you guys enjoyed it as much ❤️❤️ lots of love
This reaction was so awesome.... Loved every minute of it....❤️🔥
Love her laughter 😂
You guys are so funny and cool 🔥❤️
That chair is so hilarious. It just comes out of nowhere and hits him square in the face. I laughed so hard when I first watched this movie.
Nicki's laugh at that Chair toss made me laugh so much 😁🤣😁
You missed a small detail, the only name on one of the files the girl hacked was "Nobody", and everything else was redacted.
BEST REACTION ON YT I HAVE EVER SEEN LITERALLY SAID EVERYTHING THAT I WAS THINKING
all because of this one reaction i have subbed , liked and might just join membership
I just love how when he explains himself he's like I was "an accountant and I kinda over corrected"
LOVE THIS MOVIE AND YOUR REACTIONS!
Man, it just makes me happy.
I usually don't get into action films, but GAWD DAMN, is this fun! Bob Odenkirk is so good here, such a departure from Mr. Show, and even BCS....if Saul had been a meaner bad ass. Just love it.
You guys really should watch Death Sentence! It's a Kevin Bacon revenge thriller!
They definitely should! It’s so intense and emotional! I view it as more of a drama-thriller. (Kevin Bacon’s acting is powerfully dramatic IMO)
It's the same writer/creator, Derek Kolstad
the device on the table at the club was a claymore mine. if you noticed on the front it said FACE TOWARD ENEMY, it only blows in that direction. 600 ball bearings in a 60-degree arc. they shred people
I loved this movie. I love Bob and cant wait for part II
PS. I had a smile on my face the whole time watching this with you guys..
The kitty cat bracelet is to Hutch as the puppy was to John Wick
John wick and hutch should make a colab just imagine...
I can imagine both of them going against some armed mobsters, but these two going against The High Table would be dope.
Saw you highly recommend the movie Nobody the other day and boy were you guys right! Loved every minute of it. Especially because you dont expect Bob Odenkirk to play such a badass. Very satisfying and fun.
Right? So damn fun!!!
I'm waiting for yall to watch and do reactions for "The Night Comes for Us "staring Iko Uwais from The Raid movies and Joe Taslim the guy who plays Subzero in Mortal Kombat 💡👍👍👍
Joe Taslim was Sub Zero in the movie, Scorpion was Hiroyuki Sanada.
The scene with the shield is called a shaped charge. The Claymore he used has 700 quarter inch steel ball set in epoxy resin in front of c4 explosive. I was Army EOD retired R.E.D. retired extremely dangerous.😂😂😂
she’s cringing and looking away, and you...smiling like a kid full of happiness at Christmas morning 😂
