ER's Lovecraftian lore is somewhat separate from the original mythos, haha. If you want to have a read, I would recommend the short stories "Shadow over Innsmouth" and "The Lurking Fear" which are available free online since the copyright on the work has run out. Anywho there's no explanation in ER's lore as of yet. Might also be just going insane as people who fuck around with stuff relating to the old ones tend to do, or the god might be using him as a puppet of sorts. Who knows, this stuff is literally supposed to be outside human understanding.

I think Professor Clemmons merged with an entity while on his expedition exploring ruins he told us about or while traveling through a rift. He seems more human and natural sometimes, whereas sometimes it seems that the entity (Nyarlathotep?) is in control. They both seem to have the same goal, they just seem to act a little differently. Perhaps Clemmons has been transformed into a sort of immortal character due to this merging?

You know an ASMRtist is good when they make you fall asleep when you don't want to. Come home from a long day of work, wanting to play some dark souls, see rift uploaded and decide to watch like 15-20 minutes of it, end up waking up 4 hours later
Can you imagine the bad guy monologue and behind him hearing the Arkham Sanitarium failed experiments screaming in pain and agony while he explains to you that science requires sacrifice.
I dont usually listen to ASMR with headphones in because sleeping with them in is weird and makes my ears feel strange in the morning, but i popped them in and as soon as ER started whispering into each ear singularly I swear I felt him exhale into my ear and got hella tingles immediately. Overall satisfaction rank: a solid 10/10

I dont usually listen to ASMR with headphones in because sleeping with them in is weird and makes my ears feel strange in the morning, but i popped them in and as soon as ER started whispering into each ear singularly I swear I felt him exhale into my ear and got hella tingles immediately.
