The most memorable experience of my Disney life: When on the safari, our family experienced the Lion roar. It was a holy moment. Everyone on the safari in our jeep vehicle was in complete awe. No one spoke for at least four minutes as this magnificent creature raised his head, bellowed to the universe, and shook the earth. Finally after what seemed like eternity, our tour guide, obviously moved to tears, stated it was her first such encounter. Now, we moved on and our astounded group would never be the same. Thank you King of the Jungle.

Divine made me cry last time I saw her. My mom was in a wheelchair and Divine walked up to her and bowed down to her in reverence. Absolutely made my mom's day to have this gorgeous lady come up to her and do that. It was a very special moment.

Also go on safari if it rains. Lots of Attractions at AK are outside so if it rains people leave. The safari stays open, the queue is short as so many people have left & you see TONS of animals as they all come out in the rain for a cool down.

Hi there, Animal Kingdom cast member here. I agree with everything she said except one thing....do not try to watch Rivers of Light outside of one of the theaters. In fact, it is best viewed from the far left seats in the fast pass theater or the dining package (go to the dessert party to ensure the direct center seats and an amazing spread of sweet treats). The show cannot be viewed in all of its beauty from outside the theaters (one exception being the bridge between Dinoland and Asia) because you will not be able to see the projections on the water screens which make the show what it is. Most seats in the standby theater are also unable to view the screens well.
Best advice for Rivers of Light: Book the Dessert Party or a Dining Package, or get a fast pass and sit as high up in the stands and as far left as you can get for the best view of the show.
Also sometimes if the theater is not full they will let anyone in to the fast pass theater starting around 5 minutes before the show starts to stand in the back and if you walk as far left as they will let you to view the show at that point you will end up with one of the best views of the show that is available.

One of my favorite parts of Animal Kingdom were the trails around The Tree. My family was in awe of all the hidden animals. We spent probably more than an hour finding different ones and getting awesome pictures.

I agree with EVERYTHING you just said! I love Animal Kingdom so much!! It has gradually become my FAVORITE Disney World Park... Those who still say it's a "half-day" park are not fully experiencing everything the park has to offer! One thing you didn't mention is the Finding Nemo show; maybe this isn't a "Hidden Gem," but if EVERYONE is not seeing this show, they need to... Best show at DW in my opinion!

Animal Kingdom is my favorite park by far. There is SO much to do and see it sure is a 2-day park which I usually do. Lots of people also don't know about the rest room doors why they're so heavy and have locks on them. Most restrooms you just can walk right in with no doors. They made the doors like that "in case" an animal gets loose and you have to get somewhere safe, thus the heavy door and lock!

Former CM here! I used to work at Mr. Kamal's! I'm so glad someone is finally recognizing how delicious those fries are. They're the most filling option at that stand. The falafel is good too, but you only get 5 balls and a side of sauce. I would not get the hummus, it's pretty gross.

In addition to the excellent Tam Tam Drummers in 'Africa', there is a strolling solo musician who plays a kora. This is a type of finger and thumb plucked string instrument that sounds similar to a harp. His music is somewhat exotic to western ears, but it is beautiful. He is well worth seeking out.

You make a really good point about little kids needing to MOVE. Even my 6yo (at the time) got to the point where he just needed to climb and run. Walking, standing, and sitting on the rides wasn't doing it for him. Might be a good topic, all the little playground-type areas, like the swiss family robinson one in MK, and the one in dinosaurs you mentioned here.

One of my favorite things that is lesser known: years after they made the tree of life, Jane Goodall was visiting and noted that there wasnt a gorilla on the tree. So Disney got to work and put a Gorilla in a very accessible place and dedicated it to her. I may not have the story 100% correct but I believe the bulk is correct.

Ditto on the kids play areas, not just the boneyard! My three year old is a runner and I always try to find time to take him to the play areas at the Disney parks so he can run around a bit. We're usually at Disneyland, so toontown and the redwood creek challenge trail for us. We went to Disney World when he was around 14 months old and not yet walking, which was probably the worst time to take him, because he couldn't even really use the play areas. We ended up just taking him to the baby care centers so he could crawl around a bit.

Can you do an updated savory food list that is maybe on the healthy side? Not that I don't love those Mickey waffles and ice cream but maybe some foods that break the usual hamburgers and chicken nuggets. I saw your international food video that you did recently but that is both parks and resorts and I was looking for more just in the parks that isn't too expensive. I can cross multiple video lists but I am sure I am not the only one looking for food other than a corn dog. If you can that would be much appreciated! I recommend going on Kilimanjaro Safari right after it rains. Me and my family went on the safari 3 times, in the morning, after it rained in the afternoon, and right before the park closed. (TIP: Don't go in the dark. You can't see anything.) We found the animals to be super active after heavy rain. Long story short, if you get a downpour when you're at AK, don't cry. Ride Kilimanjaro Safari and have a great time!

I had one of the most memorable dining experiences of my life at Flying Fish before the remodel. The atmosphere, the server, and the food were all absolutely top notch. In my experience you're lucky if one of those is great, and extremely lucky if you get two. But to have all three be exemplary, well, that only happens a handful of times in your life. So I'm very sad to hear it's not as good now.

Careful before you stand in line for Flights of Passage or book a fastpass for it if you are big and/or tall. My husband is 6'7" and wasn't able to ride, and we were taken to a room in which there were a lot of larger people that couldn't ride either. This is the only ride at disney that we've ever had this problem, and we did have a fastpass that we were able to trade for another ride, but it could ruin your day if you're waiting in that 2 hour line only to get turned away.

The PIZZAFARI " Family " Dinner was a Great Deal last year !! -- But NOW, they have changed it to a " TABLE SERVICE " Credit !! NOT a QUICK SERVICE Credit
Who would go to a quick-service Pizza place and use a Table Service Credit, When you can go to a Nicer, Fancier other Disney Restaurant for a more Expensive STEAK or a much better
more expensive BUFFET or even a Character Buffet !!!!! -- I think they are making a big Mistake and should change it BACK to a QUICK Service Credit.

Thanks for the info! Not all you can eat from the last info I found either. You pay for an extra pizza or pasta dish

AJ I love the channel and watch it all the time, I have to correct you on one minor thing; At (17:14) you say they can explore an archaeological dig. Actually Archaeologists study humans through the different civilization in history. Paleontologists study dinosaurs. No biggie, most people mix the two up.

Alright, so I don’t know how to explain this very well, and my sister is an absolute Disney fanatic. When we went to Disney last December, she showed me this one spot in animal kingdom that was really cool. I’m not sure exactly where it is, but it’s across the water from expedition Everest. There’s a little stand decoration that lines up perfectly with the peaks of Everest and it’s just super neat to see that kind of Imagineering. I wish I had more details about it, but it’s definitely a cool thing to see if you can find it

Ok, I am cracking up right now! Fun fact, muhindi is swahili for corn. It's the corn market.

I just enjoy trolling people on the river rapids ride with the elephant button. I remember when I was 10 this grumpy guy started yelling at me bc I kept pressing the button😂

Hi AJ, love your blogs, get that many people visiting the parks have young kids but PLEASE do a video on more adult or quieter places to eat for those of us whose kids are adults and want a more grown up meal in the parks without a lot of fractious kids running about!

This is perfect timing. I am modifying my late April-early May Disney itinerary to take advantage of the 4 day tix that go on sale in January and I was looking for ways to make each park day as magical as possible. These hidden gems are just the right touch! thanks so much for this video!

Love your vids AJ and I got some new things to do from this one. But there's one big hidden gem I think you might want to add to the list--Conservation Station with its critters-up-close "Affection Station" and wonderful little train ride on the "Wildlife Express". It's never crowded and can be fun for kids great and small.

I recently went to Animal Kingdom, and kicking myself at all the great food I missed! Granted, we ate at Tusker House, and it was amazing, but I wish I knew about these counter service snacks. Thanks, AJ & DFB!
