    Instead of scissors, I always bring nail clippers. They are smaller, never get confiscated, I can take them abroad, and on the plane. They cut tags, tear through plastic, and are life savers when I have a chipped nail. I've even used them to grip and pull knotted shoelaces. The ones that clip on your keychain are extremely convenient.

    • @jazzywazzy._.
      @jazzywazzy._. 10 месяцев назад +7

      Yes! Nail clippers are a much safer option for traveling and great for cutting both nails and tags. I have a mini keychain one and it’s perfect to keep in my bag.

      You can fly with safety scissors. AS LONG AS THEY ARE UNDER A CERTAIN SIZE. CHECK WITH YOUR AIRLINE FOR EXACT RULES. Either child safety scissors or 1st aid scissors . I’ve flown with both packed in checked luggage.

      @chantelmartin8434 8 месяцев назад +2

      @ScottLRoc70 i apologize if i implied you couldn't, but thank you for the information. Personally, I'd rather not chance it, or seek out special scissors, when nail clippers do the job and trim the nails lol

    I once lost my ID in Animal Kingdom. Disney was so helpful and told me how to get in touch with the police to file a report, which made it much easier to get on the plane back home. The TSA agent asked if I had anything else on me that had a photo, and at the time I had a Southern California Select Disneyland Annual Pass so that worked! Ironically, Disneyland helped me get home from Walt Disney World!

      It's wise to make a photocopy of all your ID and keep in in a separate spot from your actual ID. If you're taking your passport, this is especially important --- just copy the relevant pages. This idea will be a lifesaver if you lose your wallet or passport.

    I will put in my 2 cents worth
    (these days, esp in Disney, that's my $20 worth)
    Divide up the " in case of items" between adults: for example: Have one person in your group pack a Tide stain removal stick for drips & drops on clothes.
    One person needs to carry a small folding umbrella (in addition to the ponchos. Ever tried to use your cell phone in a rain shower without getting it soaked in a just a poncho? I have; doesn't work well)
    A few Tide basin detergent packs for hand laundry can be helpful if the hotel laundry machines are busy or inconvenient.
    I like to bring a small blanket for my Disney room. I'm that person who can get cold in air-conditioned rooms. And bringing Orthopedic flip flops for post park wear are magic! I like Oofos, but there are many great brands. Your feet will thank you!

My wife and I ended with blisters and unbearable pain. When I got home from the trip I used a massager which helped my feet. Needless to say I will be packing my own massager for the next trip. I also thought my wife was crazy in wanting to buy linen for the hotel. It seems crazy but after she got the linen I slept a whole lot better. Now we call that our Disney linen. They make Space Bags- Vacuum Bags that instead of using a Vacuum cleaner to suck the air out - you ROLL THEM UP to get the air out. . With the air out of the bags they use up FAR LESS SPACE of dirty clothes than you would otherwise and In fact I have three or four of these things IN ALL of my suitcases and they get used on every trip. That along with a selection of various size Freezer Bags (Which are stronger) they are in my Suitcases all the time so I never leave home without them. Instead of a Pancho, I actually have a Full size Plastic Rain coat - they too are thicker and stronger and cover move of my body during a downpour. I also have a golf umbrella that folds up to a compact size the works for more than I person at a time. I NEVER go anywhere without a few tubes of SUPER GLUE as well. Takes no space but then you need it ! I have a local store that has a TRAVEL SIZE section of all sorts of things (A clothing detergent pouch) that you can use. Still - most of these things I keep IN THE SUITCASES so I never have to remember them. I replace anything I have to right after a trip so I am ready for the next one. And I keep a list of those things in the suitcase too.

    "bring socks" I will add to this that on Splash Mountain a few years ago I rode got DRENCHED.... I road around 10 am... by 10 PM finally back in the room and my underwear was still SOAKED from 12 hours ago. I wish I could have changed earlier in the day. I had ran back to the hotel room to change at dinner time as I just hopped on the ferry outside the back of world showcase after having dinner in America... but sitting in the room they still did not dry.
    You may not think about bringing a change of clothes if you do not have kids but I will always suggest an entire change of clothes no matter the age.

    Laundry sheets are fantastic for traveling! In fact, we liked them so much that this is what we use at home now. The ones we get are called Poesie Laundry Detergent Sheets. You still need fabric softener sheets with these.

      Yes, our current is roughly half the strength of yours. This is also why Brits think we’re idiots for not using electric kettles to boil water for tea near-instantly. Ours just don’t have the power you’re used to. 😁

    I take a plastic bag and put ice in it at night. I put my feet on it and it feels so good. Or run some cool water in the tub and sit on the side and cool your feet off. A tennis ball works great to massage your foot too.

    Anybody going and staying in Disney resorts you get to go to the parks 30mins early. But what they do is you can go in the parks a hours before just have to wait tell 8:30 to go on the rides. I was able to ride test track 2 all before 9:30

    It’s a good idea to take a lot of clothes as a shirt would cost you $35.00. Also some people get burnt and need to have a cream that heals burns. Good to bring a first aid kit, savlon, voltarine, vasoline cotton buds, Aero guard roller, re usable shopping bags to carry your shopping and travel power adapter.

    I tried wearing sneakers to Disney last time I went after only wearing crocs for 6 months, I would’ve benefited from a foot massage because my ankles still haven’t recovered from walking a bunch and going with my Disney expert friend who had us go from rope drop to closing.

    Another couple of apps: Song Pop, and PokemonGo.
    Portable charger recommendations: buy one with 20,000maH. They are a little larger, but will give you multiple charges. Anker USB C Power is a great one. And get a small cord organizer for essential cords.

      For helping preventing blisters from sweaty or wet feet wool hiking socks like smart wool or darn tuff. They come in a variety of different weights and heights and wick moisture from feet. Since designed for hiking/backpacking some have extra padding.
