Chris - just hope you’re as blown away as we are at your achievement! Your project brought many happy memories for me...
FYI, I’m in east London, UK and a little older than you (and Shawn?!). As an exchange student, my first visit to US in ‘78 for 6 months included the goal of buying & driving a Mustang Fastback! Within 2 weeks I found a 1-owner ‘70 Fastback 302 3-speed auto in bright orange and had the time of my my life exceeding all of my expectations! Like you, I had a racing background, but in karts. My ‘72-‘76 project was to build my BMiniW Isetta - my kart for the road @ 44” track & 54” wheelbase!
Even @ 118k mi, my Mustang would wheelspin thro’ 2nd gear in a straight line, drift around cloverleaf slips on & off local roads - both in the dry. I’m afraid I made a bit of a nuisance of myself, but no tickets...

44yrs old and have always appreciated cool performance cars but the bug never bit me severly until about 3yrs ago. If I could go back I would learn/ take every car course I could, so I could do all my own wrenching. What a great hobby/pastime/career that would be.
At my age, I may end up taking a bodyshop course yet as I think it would be a good pleasure to frustration ratio lol
Really into vehicle body lines, wraps/graphics and exterior stuff. Think it would be meditative work for someone like me. Total eye for imperfection too, so I'd prob do gd work if the skill was within my grasp.

Love this amazing build. As a ford guy I understand his engine choice as OHC Coyotes are massively wide. LS are way cheaper to build than a classic FE big block as well. At this point in time a ford 7.3 Godzilla crate engine is about the same price as a LS crate so many starting to swap those in everything. Respect to someone who has a dream and gets it done. Very cool

@@jedishaadu8343 Exactly, but you know what we wont have to listen to LS bullshit for very much longer. The new 7.3 or as its been dubbed Godzilla that Ford introduced will fix the LS problem. 4 bolt mains Heavy duty crank and list goes on they threw a high rise intake and on it with a cam and made 568 without breaking a sweat. Just remember this motor has no performance parts yet but cams intakes, and heads are on the way. If you want a none Ford bias opinion on the Topic Uncle Tony,s Garage a huge Mopar guy gave it nothing but love and said it will be a beast.
