You have to remove the clutch delay valve in the slave cylinder. You can probably swap it out for an e90 slave that’s what you could do with the gen 1 manual cars
@@leonlange861 yea sadly they do. When I got my G80 I couldn’t figure out why I can never bang 1st to 2nd, after digging into solutions, removing the cdv got rid of that issue and now if feels like I have a brand new transmission
I love Dylan’s immediate reaction is to all nighter the job and just send it😮💨 dudes a trooper and definitely a huge support to keeping things moving forward
I don’t know the A90 platform too well but it’s possible the car has a delay valve for the clutch causing you to ride the clutch and rev hang. Or possibly the car has anti roll back, so the clutch could also be staying engaged while drifting before you get full contact with the clutch face.
The combined fluid reservoir for brake and clutch master is standard on at least the 11+ mustangs. A common mod people will do is swap to a separate secondary reservoir for the clutch to keep the fluid from boiling over from brake use. To really do the swap done the best way possible you would swap to an automatic brake master cylinder and reservoir to eliminate the clutch fluid fitting. Definitely a worthwhile consideration for the supra as well. Hopefully you all can get it sorted out!
My gt350 is having the same issue. It also shares the same reservoir for the brakes and clutch. My guess is the clutch master cylinder first then I’ll check the throw out bearing. Either way, I took the opportunity to swap to braided lines anyways after I repair what’s causing my clutch to stick. I notice it happens more often when i ride first at low speed or try and go from reverse into first that the clutch will be jammed to the floor, causing me to lift it with my foot.
I really think being stock is okay, but you should upgrade your clutch/transmission and get a bigger intercooler and a cold air intake to be safe and have a MHD or JB4 tune if you don’t want to go narly fast
Glad your loving the Supra definitely the car I personally want to see you drifting in!! It’s gonna take some testing to get the bugs out! But it’ll Get There!!! Stick With it TJ!!!
Tj you never seen the clutch out of the break res... but the stock fd has that.😂😂 love that you're so successful that you have enough cars you don't notice stuff like that.
On a lot of auto cars on the brake fluid reservoir there’s a closed off extra nipple for a hose. A lot of people when doing manual swaps will cut off the tip of the nipple and use that for the manual trans. There should be no issue there people been using manual transmissions hooked up to the main brake fluid reservoir for a really long time actually.
I had a BMW Z4M that had the same brake and clutch joint master cylinder. At the track, brake fluid would heat up as the brakes got hot and it was harder to shift gears. I never had a complete failure or air in the line, but that was always a challenge with that car.
I have a 2014 mustang that also uses the brake master cylinder reservoir for the clutch. Willwood sells a remote reservoir for the clutch. Maybe it would work on the Supra. I did install it on my Mustang and it seems to be working.
Tj you need to get rid of the cdv… you can drill it out or replace it with a e90 slave. There are plenty of bimmer forum posts about how to do this. The metal piece in the clutch line has a very tiny hole where the clutch fluid goes through. It messes up the feel of the trans as well.
Not sure if the camera made the brake fluid look clear, but sometimes if brake fluid sits too long after being opened then stored in a wet environment it traps water inside the container. obviously the clutch gave out anyways but definitely bleed the system to get the water out.
Did you check to see if the linkage broke to the clutch master that would explain why the car wouldn't start because the clutch sensor isn't being depressed correctly
CHECK THE SLAVE FOR A DELAY VALVE. You can literally just pull the valve out. BMW puts them in all the manuals. Could be riding the hell out of the clutch. My Gen 1 B58 340i has one and the transmission is the same as the A90

The CDV reduces shock on the drivetrain
@@KiranPatel-fk1pg That's why you put a better Tilton unit in. The stock ones suck.
Bmw still puts in those cdv? They were already a problem like 15 years ago with the e9x
@@leonlange861 Right but for drifting it's better as when your constantly clutch kicking it slows down the the engagement and so reduces shock
@@leonlange861 yea sadly they do. When I got my G80 I couldn’t figure out why I can never bang 1st to 2nd, after digging into solutions, removing the cdv got rid of that issue and now if feels like I have a brand new transmission
Dillon has been a huge asset for you guys. All around likable guy too. Big ups Dillon!
His feedback on the drifting is spot on for tj, it's like days of thunder go out and do it teejs way then dillons way and compare the tires 😂
Facts!
Calvin got the funeral home suit on at the track. 😂 Calvin never disappoints
Looks amazing!!! ❤
The fact that you and Adam are on similar timelines for your Supras… just makes my wonder 🤔.
TEAM TOYOTA LZTJMFGHUNTCO
What does it do?
@@benholmquist1148 facts 😂
I’ve been thinking the same thing
Keep supra forward shirts coming soon
I love Dylan’s immediate reaction is to all nighter the job and just send it😮💨 dudes a trooper and definitely a huge support to keeping things moving forward
Anthony’s cinematic edit at the beginning of the video was awesome. I can’t wait to watch your progress on drive through hot pits this season.

If it's the same setup as the F30/G20 they do have a CDV
I just got done watching the update on the clip’s channel and you dropped another banger on the main channel just in time 😮💨
The supra is one of the coolest cars I have ever seen sliding... Great video guys!
Like some of these other comments are saying, you should check the clutch delay valve, could be the reason the clutch won’t engage
As a gen 1 b58 owner myself, this is by far my favorite build ever on the channel. Definitely something I manifest to be able to build someday
You should install air jacks into it! That would be the coolest mod ever
Really like this detailed look into practice and diagnosing problems
That diffs gonna go next broski, I’ve gone through 7 already until I did a Frankenstein on mine. Car looks sick though

Long time supporter and this has to be my favorite build yet! Can’t wait for the drop tomorrow Teej!
The shape Supra is so beautiful I've seen a few driving around 🎉
Boy killin me with that cape on!
Lookin like Count Trackula 😂🤣!
Wow I’m in love with the look of the supra teej!! Thing is amazing wish I could build one the exact same! You and the boys killed it 🙌🏼

I love ACT been goin thru them since they started back in the day.... There super legit and not to heavy or rough like others
I just watched a vlog from 6 years ago. Man the quality and progress you made is so crazy. The team you have now is amazing. Congrats man!

Lol everytime I see Calvin I just can't help but laugh. He's so extra haha. But in a good way I suppose, don't ever change for anyone, Calvin! 😜😀😆

The carbon Supra gliding in the sun is 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 moving art
Awesome video as always TJ. All of your Supras are awesome.

Man really appreciating the video quality !
So stoked to see this car in person one day hopefully.
Dude yes I love the inside camera views.
teej is out here sending us bomb vids i just finished watching the new vid from the clips channel and now im here!
E46’s have share a reservoir for the brake and clutch and needs a pressure bleeder when bleeding the system, from my experience with a shared system.
17:17 the force from dillons foot yo almost broke the concrete 🤣
Can we not ignore the progress 🔥 TJ has gotten soooo good I love to see it 😮💨

This thing is insane. I love this build
Supra looks amazing coming around corners !!
Car looks griped up and super easy to drive, perfect seat time/ low level comp car
I don't know if it's possible, but maybe get a separate reservoir for the clutch. I don't know if it will help or not, but maybe
These tires sound like that meme where they push down on all
Those rubber chickens
So sick! Solid build guys! Personally I think carbon doors would make it look super cool
Great videos guys. Informative as well as entertaining for years.
I THINK IM GONNA GO AHEAD AND CALL IT NOW…TJ IS TAKING THAT SUPRA TO JAPAN. HAKAONO BABY!!!!!!
I can’t wait to see y’all next weekend I have been watching you since Calvin’s garage and never expected to see you guys in my home state!!
You HAVE to keep the duckbill, it looks so good sliding 😩
I have a 2014 mustang that also uses the brake master cylinder reservoir for the clutch. Willwood sells a remote reservoir for the clutch. Maybe it would work on the Supra. I did install it on my Mustang and it seems to be working.
great analogy with the R35.
teej is ripping in this thing! love how it sounds
Dylan is fucking killing it. Keep it up bois, your living all of our dreams!!
Dillon the man
Makes the channel now
He's so keen for u to smash it this season with team work
Calvin looking like a Akatsuki member with that jacket on 4:13
If the master got low enough and air gets into the ABS module it is a similar hassle to the C8 to bleed it. Need a scan tool or dealer.
Definitely look into the CDV (clutch delay valve)
You make that look easy brother Tj 100 % 🔥 on point driving
2011 + Mustangs also use the brake fluid for the clutch operation
Can’t wait for more. This Supra looks so good for the first time drifting it.
Man that thing is beautiful!!
This build has been so entertaining to watch. You guys have killed it on this one!
That supra is badddddddddddddd especially from the front. Looks mean. 🔥
You disrespected us Texans with the Whataburger comments😂
It looked awesome can't wait for the giant wing .. the C8 gonna be dope with the supercharger an roof scoop
YUSS! i’m still watching the clips video! HOLD ON TEEJ
If it doesn't break, it doesn't rips. We good here boys
Can we give a round of applause for TJ talent Hops in a fresh build new chassis (to him) and he’s killing it
The Supra looks f'ing sick. Can't wait to see it go full racecar with a big wing and livery
I think the wheelS are throwing off just how Fire🔥 the car is.
0:20 Dylan has SWAG dude
So happy to finally seeing this thing on track. Fingers crossed on the clutch! Can’t wait for the livery!!
Man TJ your so fucken inspiring to see everything you became !!!!!! Only Motivation!!!!!!!

My mazda 3 shares the brake and clutch reservoir and it was a pain to bleed when I did my clutch master.
lets go i kept refreshing your page just waiting for this video!!!!
This is TJ all day in the firing range trying to perfect his loadout 😂

Damn the Supra just looks so good
I need a Dillon in my life. Super positive attitude and great hype man.
It would be so sick if TJ'S waiting in line on the grid just there chilling in AC vybing to music 😂🔥
Love how the content is coming fast and furious between the main and the clips channels!

TJ needs a carbon fiber sparco helmet to match the vibe of the build
looks amazing on the track
This build is sickk. Absolutely lovin it💯🔥
Dillon the mad scientist!
Those temps have gotta be through the roof!!
Vader car looks sick. Just different wheels imo and some red under glow at night would make it look mean af
