One thing I really miss about working in Germany is that quiet but laid back personality that Andreas has and which is so ubiquitous in their country. As an American, at first I found it to be a little hard to approach but soon realized that once you match the energy level Germans are some of the friendliest and most affable people on the planet. If you have the chance to visit, you will likely find it to be one of the best places you’ve been and will come away with great memories.

@@FINNdeischgut Well, in fairness, I haven’t met every German lol. But, we Americans tend to be pretty outgoing which I’ve found can be a little unsettling for many Germans, and our initial impression is that Germans are not very friendly. But, I always try to learn how to behave in whichever country I visit and my experience was that just being a little more … calm … brought out a completely different personality. As a result, I’ve made so many friends and enjoyed many great conversations.

For everyone complaining that these cars dont have more horsepower, you do not understand the entire purpose of a GT3. Porsche has NEVER been about adding crazy horsepower numbers. They are building RACE CARS. A Ferrari is also a race car but its meant to be a challenge for drivers to tame. Porsche is trying to simplify the driving experience, make it safe, and make it EASY to hit high speed with the most control. There is a reason that GT3 RSs are always near the top of leaderboard times on alot of tracks. Thats an experience that can not be replicated with 900 hp. Its a road going race car in the truest sense. Race cars dont always have block breaking horsepower. They have enough to sometimes break traction but not enough to overwork the chassis. The price is definitely high, but you are clearly paying for performance. Want to go fast in a straight line or shatter windows when you start your car, go get a Lamborghini or Ferrari. You want ostentatious, you came to the wrong place.

A $40,000 Price increase in the USA from 992.1 to the 992.2 GT3! Porsche is cashing! Porsche watched the dealers ripping customers off over the mark-ups and decided to curb the demand by increasing the price so Porsche keeps all the cash. 992.2 looks so much better, with exception of the digital dash, that looks lifted from a Kia.

But who came up with the idea of removing a digital needle? No one wants to be inside a Tesla when they could be in a Porsche. You can’t take away everything that’s traditional; you risk losing the soul of the car. Thankfully, they haven’t yet removed the key on the left, which was a real concern. It’s a success, but the price increase isn’t justified, just like it isn’t between the iPhone 15 and the iPhone 16.
