Absolutely. This was honestly a great look into his influences. Love that trogly is a PBG fan. Trogly imo is the goat in terms of the way he presents information. I wish he did more fender stuff and maybe vintage ibanez but I do love that he just is THE Gibson guy. I’d honestly love to get a guitar through him someday when I have the money.
the main thing I remember about early guitar RUclips was how many guys would have like $15k worth of amps in the shot but couldn't be bothered to buy a mic for their videos. Almost nobody sounded any good for years.
And yet... the best players could still make it sound good haha. I remember hating how "pure" the sound was for Fretted Americana videos when they moved to the studio
The tooling marks come from the fact they have binding with nibs. Meaning, Gibson can't use the swing sander smoothing those out, or they'd destroy the nibs. The years they stopped using nibs also lacked the tooling marks.
@@vladimirpoutine7522 It's not impossible or even difficult to build guitars with binding/nibs that aren't covered in tooling marks. It's not the nibs, it's the lack of care/attention to detail in their work.
The Epi thunderbird I converted to a baritone guitar was on his ridiculous reverb listings. I dubbed it The ThunderBeast. He ragged on it a little lol. For the record: I put a Tunematic in place where a 3 point bridge was; it had perfect intonation.
How come there isn’t a Gibson Trogly signature LP silverburst BFG made with a pancake body, a “just right” flame top, super 400 inlays, Tim Shaw PAFs with the stickers still on them, posi-lock strap buttons, those tuners with flip out winders, and an inlay of animals howling at the moon on the headstock? Guys, what did I forget?
iirc he reviewed a john petrucci majesty in the past, but i guess that isnt the greatest representation of ebmm/sterling since its such a unique signature model 😂
Scott Grove was one of the originals for me. Posting lessons around the beginning of RUclips. Great collection, seems to know a lot about the guitars he has and then some.
I'm impressed that they countersink the pickguard screw holes underneath the pickguard, to prevent finish cracking when they first install the screws. That's some attention to detail not often seen from large manufacturers!
Nick, Congrats on your new Silverburst and a second congrats to your Son. Judging from the video, this MusicMan guitar exhibits excellent craftsmanship, very cool.
Scott Grove never gets any love! I learned so much about guitars from him and he is a dude that more often than not knew his stuff and would expose people who tried to sell the guitar snake oil like tonewood. I loved the Tonewood Wars of 2015-2016
Made me realise how long I've been following guitar related RUclips. Much respect to any regular content creators. Must be difficult to deal with some of the unnecessarily nasty, negative s#!t when producing content to consume for free !!
Rob scallon really is on a different level. Super cool to see all the OG guitar guys get shouted out here. It was interesting to get a look into your influence especially outside the music industry like PBG and AVGN.
Even the pickup cavities are finished out and those wood screws on the plektrumskydd look tapped and counter sunk! Super nice color. Got it goin on yo.
Something really interesting to me is that many of the most popular guitar channels feature people who aren't particularly good players. Darrell Braun is one that comes to mind, but there are so many others.
Wow, those are some cleanly built guitars. They even Countersunk all the screw holes under all the parts 🤯. And they totally need to make them in grey, that looks pretty awesome!
What is the riff at 14:01 to 14:09? Is it Togly's original or build around an existing song? It reminds me of something, but cannot figure out what. And yes I've heard it in your videos before... But I think it is something else.
I would like to see Austin get a LP Standard signature in Trogly Green Sparkle, filp out winding tuners, historically mounted ABR bridge, diamond strap buttons with a Spotlight Special stripe 😊 Come on Gibson!
Agufish is one channel i like in your list but my favorite channels are Scarred my guitar, The Bald Shredder , Kyle Bull, Sixstring tv, spector sound Guitar max and last but never least my boy stay metal ray oh damn and Andrew banea
These are sweet. Hardware and features are excellent. Think a lot of people are less thrilled to have any signatures on the front side of the guitar, no matter whose (Les Paul being the exception.)
Ernie Ball Music Man guitars is the BEST manufactured guitar maker on the market. They have unmatched fit and finish. To beat them you have to go boutique. Great review!
Trogly tell me about the exclusive Ernie Ball Music Man Mono guitar case! Til now I thought they only had floppy gig bags but that solid gig bag is new to me.
You mentioned inspiring with your videos and it shure inspired me . Not only for my videos but to rediscover my love for Gibson. I started playing with epiphones Les Paul and then upgraded to Gibson but somewhere in the path I kind of lost interest in the brand . I started to use and collect PRS singlets, McCarthys and even the silver sky for years but you made me look back to Gibson . I now own a couple of LP customs and a 335 and I’m in love . I have also had a lo junior, a Flying V and a 7 string explorer. Thanks for your videos mate!
FINALLY a MusicMan at the show! 😅 You should definitely give a chance to an Axis (EVH's classic model), it's a great instrument and deserves some love!
Trogly you missed the best of the best “This is Mark Agnesi in the back room at Norman’s rare guitars” guitar of the day hasn’t been the same but I love the content that he’s doing with Gibson.
Clean sounds and variations of tones are great on this one. Not a big fan of carded guitars, but I'll certainly put this one on my watchlist, or just shop for those pickups and put them in an existing guitar.
Glad to hear someone compare this to a mustang as thats what it reminds me of but alpt of folks dont often agree with that. Great guitar from fluff and a great video from trogly. Good job guys.
I wish I could see you demo a Framus master built idolmaker. Been eyeballing one for a few years now.. could have gotten it cheaper 3 years ago. Prices have really jumped up
It’s crazy all these RUclips guys who haven’t made any hits having signature guitars. I get it because they are influencers. It makes sense but all these guys have zero songs on my playlist.
Don't be mad, you forgot Rob Chapman. He was OG before Anderton's. Anyway, this thing sounded good. The color changes during demo, cool. Scallon is league of his own, played Metallica on church organ for the neighbors to hear. Classic. Ü ♫
MUSIC MAN!! It has been at least 20 years since I saw that brand name on ANYTHING!! Shows you how old I am - I remember MUSIC MAN before it was a brand name. I like the sounds you got on the guitar. My favorite is that goldish-Orange one. That's a keeper!!
Appreciate you!
Thanks for the shout out. Scott Grove

Most of them are clowns

I still hear videos where i can hear the pick hitting strings more than wherever the signal goes. Biggest pet peeve. I don’t wanna hear you picking!
That color shifting was amazing. They could do an unlimited run of pretty much any of those colors, and it'd be cool.
Leo Fender helped found Music Man as a silent partner back in 1971.
Due to a non-compete clause with Fender, after he sold.
This is actually Fluffs 2nd Signature, his first model was a RD style body model by Balaguer guitars called the Hyperion
Gibson should take note of that fretboard....no evidence of ugly tooling marks etc.
The tooling marks come from the fact they have binding with nibs. Meaning, Gibson can't use the swing sander smoothing those out, or they'd destroy the nibs. The years they stopped using nibs also lacked the tooling marks.
Should, but wont
You mean people don’t like bad QC’d guitars?
its authentically damaged

I'm totally impressed with the level of detail to the routing and painting of the pickup cavities. Nicely done Music Man.
Phil X and Scott Grove huge shout outs!!

Staple pup + TS PAF, a stinger, burst on that flametop & back + either a chainsaw case or government green one. JMO Yet you're spot on with the rest.
Naw he'd go for a doofy looking dragon on the headstock howling at butterfly.
I would totally buy that LOL!!
With a shittoying afect
Lightly Aged....
Chapman/Andertons was my first RUclips guitar channel.
Good stuff there for sure!
Lol the Changing colors was a nice touch.
I'd always hoped you'd review an EBMM or Sterling Stingray guitar, so I'm glad you bought the Fluff

He knows a lot about selling guitars too, he's got an abrasive personality, some don't like but I'm not too bothered by
@@PaperBanjo64 Back then it was pretty refreshing to me.
Gotta love Scott Grove And Marty Shwartz
Are you watching, Gibson?. The Trogly Signature Les Paul. You know it makes sense!. 🙂
Well, an Epi.
Don’t forget the legendary Paul Davids and Andy from Shut Up And Play.
Phil X and Fretted Americana was great.
Agufish and you are the greatest guitar RUclips channels because your honest and have great personality
I'm impressed that they countersink the pickguard screw holes underneath the pickguard, to prevent finish cracking when they first install the screws. That's some attention to detail not often seen from large manufacturers!
I thought the same thing. That is boutique stuff for sure. Did you notice how clean those routs were? Looks like a very nice build.

nice looking guitar. the attention to detail looks nice. clean, simple, well laid out.

Shout outs to Agufish, Stevie T, AVGN and Peebs in the same vid? Where else can you see that but here! 🤣
I came to your channel for the history, got sucked into Les Pauls and now own a 1981 Artist that I bought from CME when I was on holiday!

The fishman humbucker is his signature with them as well

There was nearly a Trogly x AVGN collab at one point! Maybe someday...
Oh my gosh! And AVGN James actually plays guitar...I bet that would have been hilarious.
Nice review, thanks! The body shape comes the Leo Fender-era Music Man StingRay guitars of the 1970s. Ernie Ball bought the company in the mid-80s.
Looks absolutely gorgeous.
Not a fan of those pickups though.
Maybe it's a metal head thing?
Wow, you mentioned a lot of channels I currently watch/a few that were lost to time for me.. what a throwback
Fretboard doesn't look like ebony. Looks like roasted maple that's been dyed.
I like that forest green color mask on this "Fluff" Sting Ray!
When do we see a Trogly signature LP?
i have #12 of the Sparkle and absolutely love it. the neck is gorgeous.
the 1691 is the pickguard number used by the company that makes them for ernie ball.
That bridge pickup with distortion sounds massive! wow. Love the color shifting effects on the guitar!
Last time i binged Guitar content, i never heard the name "Fishman", now i hear it every vid in the last few days...good for em, must be good
I love changing the colors in photoshop during the demo, that dark purple is a must!
It looked pretty good in fuscia
I have two Ernie Ball music bands they’re well-made guitars I have a Eddie Van Halen one and a Steve Morse very well may guitars
Ooh I wish they'd made this green or pink, they look so good
I’ve got the sparkle version… it’s a beast
Trogly, I bought a DBZ guitar, it's cool, and I just figured out it has cool splitting, they got a version of all the guitar styles!
Thanks for tuning, I listened to them play it at Sweetwater. Painful
Boy howdy I really wish the sparkle finish was regularly available :(
That pick guard with the odd piece of metal, sure looks reminiscent of Jerry Garcia’s fender named alligator.
that satin finish looks great! i really like the overall vibe from this guitar.
I work in a music store thats Near to where Fluff lives... wishing some day that he'll make it into our shop.. would be awesome.
Even the pickup cavities are finished out and those wood screws on the plektrumskydd look tapped and counter sunk! Super nice color. Got it goin on yo.
Thats a nice guitar, I feel like Musicman makes great stuff
Phile and Ollie and Andertons is like nostalgia at this point! kinda sad. Thanks for keeping the torch alive!
Direct competition with a recently spied Fender Mustang, same color, P-90 loaded.
3200 for that. Nahhhh dog

Odd how the Stingray basses (which I assume came first) and Stingray guitars don’t have similar shapes or accoutrements.
It looks like the guitar changes color!! Green, pink, grey, copper and turquoise. Not sure how that happened but cool
