I first came across this Ocean Swell crochet stitch pattern it did not have a name. When I saw it I was instantly reminded of ocean waves!
This stitch pattern is gorgeous! It is fairly straight forward once you get the hang of the repeats, but before that, you will see that part of the uniqueness of this pattern is found in the stitch placement.
Thank you for watching!

Gorgeous! You always teach the most beautiful stitches but this one is just amazing and the name is perfect.
I have never seen something like this before. Even though I've been crocheting for 40 years. I sure like this pattern ❤
I’ve been looking for a wavy stitch to use with some clearanced yarn in various shades of aqua and blue. This is it. I’m part of a group that makes blankets for kids with cancer, so I’m planning to use this pattern in my next project for them. Thank you for this beautiful pattern.
WOW this is beautiful! This stich would make an incredible bedspread. Thank you for this tutorial ❤❤❤
Very beautiful and unique pattern. I love the name you chose for the stitch. We all need some beach and ocean in our lives. 🩵
I always have my first cup of coffee with you on Sunday Morning. Love this stitch ♥
That is gorgeous! It'll make a beautiful shawl for my daughter. ❤
Hello, I recently came across your video featuring the Ocean Swell Stitch, and I must say, it's both interesting and beautiful! The stitch pattern you demonstrated has such a captivating and intricate design. The way the stitches flow and create a sense of movement truly reminds me of the ocean waves. I can imagine this stitch being perfect for various crochet projects, whether it's a blanket, scarf, or even a sweater. The versatility of the Ocean Swell Stitch makes it an exciting choice for anyone looking to add depth and texture to their crochet work. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful stitch pattern with us! Keep up the great work!
Wow! Great pattern and texture. This pattern will make an absolutely stunning bed spread. Thank you for your wonderful channel and tutorials.
It really looks like the waves 😊 just beautiful! Thank you ❤
What a pretty stitch. It would be pretty if you did the first 4 rows as a border on a blanket.
wow!! wow!! wow!! what a beautiful stitch!!! I am sure that my mom would have loved to try this stitch....she was an avid crocheter and knitter and loved stitches like this!! I can also hear her say you can't do it!!! So just to stop her inner voice, I got some yarn out and yes I succeeded in doing the stitch following your excellent and wonderful directions. I wonder if it would make a beautiful bag!!!
This is an amazing stitch!!! I love it. I bought 12 cakes of some blue striping yarn for a commissioned project but the customer didn't like it so I've been trying to figure out a project for it. My newest grandson's theme is sea life so I'm going to use this pattern and that yarn to make him a blanket. Thanks so much for the inspiration!
That’s lovely. And your name for it is very appropriate. It would be gorgeous as a sweater
Very neat stitch. ❤
Wow just beautiful ❤
Perfect name
That's so incredibly beautiful. I think there's a lot of potential in making wall hangings of an ocean view with this stitch. Maybe the submarine incident?
MORBID AF!
Reminds me of a wheat field blowing in the wind. Beautiful ❤️
I just love the name you gave it did you develop the style? Omg! I just moved to Florida and left ALL my crochet blankets in Montana, so this One blanket will be my Florida blanket!!
Thank you!!
That’s beautiful! I bet it eats up the yarn, tho.
Outstanding! Thank you 🙏🏼
Perfectly named! It’s beautiful, thank you

Very pretty! ❤

Beautiful ❤️🪝
Beautiful. I luv your content
Interesting fabric / texture. Great call on your name for it
Love it
Hi from Singapore.Nice stitch.
Shew, it's complicated. I shall attempt to make a bedspread, it's so beautiful.
Wow
Sooooo pretty. So many paterns to choose from. I will for sure do this one. 5 Ba y blankets to make. This would look amazing. If I don't screw it up. ❤
Beautiful stitch. How would you even out the sides?
Just love this stitch!!!! How do you finish off last row if you want to make a border????
Sooooo ... it would seem that the pattern probably works best in a lengthwise pattern, yes?!? I'm thinking about scarves. I can't see the pattern being pronounced enough to really "shine" if it were too narrow. You know--left to right. Then again, you sort of lose the "swell" if you view it vertically. (I'm holding my laptop up and rotating it 90 degrees counterclockwise while looking at the swatch in the beginning of the video. LOL) As several viewers said, though, as a bedspread it would be very cool.
I would like to use this stitch in a textured baby blanket. How would I make the final row look like the starting row to allow me to continue on with a different texture pattern? The ending waves are quite pronounced. Are the stitch counts the same as the chain? Basically, square the edges up a bit. I hope this makes sense!
I love seeing what yarn and hook you’re using.
In this video it looks like a Rowan hook but it’s red which isn’t on the website. It also looks like it may be interchangeable? Can you please tell me where I can look other than the link above.
Lovely! Any tips on how to square off the top row to make a square?
I basically asked the same thing. Still waiting for an answer. 😮😮
I’m wondering how it will look in a lighter weight yarn and possibly using it for the flounce at the bottom of a layered tunic.
You're crochet hook looks very cool! I clicked on your affiliate link for the hook and it was not the same. Which hook are you using in this video
I would love to make this stitch into a top, but I have no idea how to increase and decrease this. Please tell me how!
How do I do this in the round please, for a hat for instance?
Looks like a mushroom to me!
What is the best yarn for this. Want to make an afghan for my sister. Is it a yarn eater?
Quick correction! At 11:09 (end of row 4) you say to chain 3, but in the written pattern you say to chain 1.
💚🧶💚
very pretty, but, wow, I bet that seriously eats the yarn
Was thinking the same. Looks good for a nice warm sweater.
Beautiful ❤️🪝
