My guild didn't have any healers, so I had to go do halls of origin heroic with them with 330 i level and 900 spirit... Changed to disc and got to about 1600 spirit (plus trinket that increases my spirit by around 1700 on crit) and looking great! Loved your video =)
WOW thanks!!! I just got my priest to 85 and decided to go Disc..my main is a HPally and Im soo use to just topping people off but i was having a majorrrr problem on my priest because im so use to that. So TY!!! I dont have to really worry about people as much anymore
I just respeced to Disc from Holy and I totally sucked healing my first reg instance. Lol. I found your vid very useful and just from a quick couple talent changes, shifting around my hotkeys, without even stepping into another dungeon I can tell I'm better already. Just have to adjust some glyphs (which you didn't go over, maybe next time?) and get better gear and I think I'm set. So thank you!! I never needed to watch tutorials before but Disc was confusing.
@Fissick I've noticed the same thing. On fights with any amount of AoE the tank pulls ahead of the DPS right now. The DPS usually do from 7-8k depending on the fight.
@filmting05 If the cooldowns are both up, this is a great idea. Probably more viable for raids because of the longer fights where you'll hopefully see their cooldowns align more often.
@Infernius I have to make a conscious effort to use it twice, otherwise I only use it once. This is something I am trying to improve because most fights do last over 4 minutes right now.
i say this because i'm pretty sure your mana income in the future will require evangelism for 5% mana and rapture for 3.5% every 12 seconds. with 60k, 70k mana, the return from evangelism and rapture will mostly just cover the damage you did with smite, and the cost of the shield, but i know for sure that when you get your mana above the 100k, those talents will be absolutely marvelous.
Really enjoyed the video good work :) I'm interested in your personal opinion, I noticed you have taken Veiled Shadows for the reduced CD on your pet, bringing it down to 4 minutes, do you find you're able to use the pet twice in these encounters currently? I am currently specced the exact same way however I take Surge of Light which of course generates a 6% chance when using heal to grant a free instant cast Flash Heal which is great at times! what are your views? Thanks :)

@hockey9bomber Inner Will increases mana efficiency. That's what I need foremost right now. The slightly bigger heals from Inner Fire aren't worth it for me at the moment.
i'd pick veiled shadows back in 4.0.1 since it actually were 2 min reduction and 5% mana each attack, but it's not that worth having now.. if you do things right you will save mana without depending on your pet. the other thing i think you didn't talk about was rapture. gladly you have it, but just like i do, i'd suggest getting an addon to track rapture's cooldown.

So it would be more accurate to say "they CAN single target in raids" rather than "they SHOULD single target in raids". As for AA+Ev+Atonement and Train of Thought, I simply wasn't smiting in dungeons and therefore I took the point in Veiled Shadows to get SFiend out faster, less drinking needed.
it was a nice video actually, i totally agree on getting train of thought as you'll notice inner focus can be used far more often that if you hadn't, and same applies to penance. it's a very good talent for single target healing, like a disc should do in raids. i disagree u getting inner sanctum tho, it's pretty rubbish regardless of what it gives, you'd benefit alot more in having atonement, if you actually want train of thought worth having.
@ deadlyzin101 - Well I heard that disc is better once you have the gear, not sure :\. But what I do know is that you need at least 2k spirit to heal heroics, read it on the battle.net priest class forum.
i couldnt really see your recount... how much dps is your guild doing ... at least when i run randoms i always get super high dps tanks and dps around 6k and it seems like heroic trash and bosses take ages to kill thus making mana management even more difficult
@rustymetalblade Unfortunately you seem to have a poor understanding of the discipline priest spec. It is unclear from even the most skilled priests in the best guilds whether or not Ev+AA+Atonement is important or not, at best its been situationally useful on certain fights. As for "laughing your ass off" at my taking of a mana regeneration talent over throughput talents, I would again say it is unfortunate that you lack the capacity to understand this decision for 5 mans.

@TheEllandria You can adjust the range of your zoom in your interface menu at the 'camera distance' if I'm correct.

Ty..I always try to have everyone's health to the max, but I see that you don't have too and that will help a lot with me mana.

@Purepie45 I only use Flash when people are certain to die if they don't get a heal RIGHT NOW. So usually around 25% or less.

@morras1997 Its not an addon, I just go to the new WoW website and view my character in advanced mode.
what i find very useful is the undead class if u are a mana using player, class ability is cannibalism

that's a cool vid.. but when i healed this instance on normal, i went OOM on the first 3 mobs.. as disc.. did they fix the shitty manasystem yet?
