Taking the SUV on one last adventure across Canada! From Vancouver Island to Southern Ontario in 5 days! Crazy to think that we called this vehicle our home for a few months as we left Ontario to travel to the Arctic last summer! It's definitely bittersweet having to say goodbye to this tiny home on wheels but it is getting one last ride to Ontario where it will get the love it deserves !

Beautiful footage! Planning a vacation to Canada doing the exact same trip from Vancouver to Toronto by RV so using your documentary. Well done. Enjoyed it!
Greetings from Belgium 🇧🇪
That's awesome man, you will love it. Safe travels and thanks for watching !
I just watched your video on RUclips. I drive from southwestern Ontario to BC every summer by myself. I sometimes get a room but for the most part I sleep in my truck. I do what you do lol, not sure where the road will take me or where my next sleeping spot is. Just wanted to say AWESOME from a fellow solo traveller 😊
That's awesome to hear! It's such a fun drive, there's just something special about a big multi day road trip across the country where everyday brings something different. Safe travels out there ! Cheers 🍻
Just did the same thing, sleep in my truck and cross Canada touring I go. Kicking it in AB/BC for a month then heading back to Ontario to go on a few canoe trips in Algonquin. Live is fkn beautiful!! 🤘😎❤🇨🇦
On the road once again, very cool. I bet those 5 days felt really long without Diesel and Alana. Really cool drone shots yet again along the lake superior. Waiting for the van build series :)
Safe travels....cheers for now!
Thanks guys! It was a great trip but not the same without the co-pilots ! We're excited to keep chipping away at the van, we've made it our priority for the summer :) Cheers
Just came across your channel. loved this vid for the memories it brought from our trip out last year. We stopped at all the same rest stops! I even chuckled because when we stopped at the one near swift current I remember there being a guy sleeping in his car, same color... but we were there in August. We make the trip every year from Mckerrow, Ontario (busiest Timmies/Wendys/trading post in Canada, gateway to Manitoulin Island) to Calgary, where our son lives. I'll be going back to watch your other vids!❤
ah that's awesome! I'm glad you could re-live the drive through the video. We definitely miss that little SUV, it had been through some adventures that's forsure ! That sounds like an amazing annual road trip, love the drive through northern Ontario. Haven't done Manitoulin Island yet! So I think we'll have to make it a stop during our next trip back that way. Thanks for watching our videos, we really appreciate it. Cheers !
"tim hortons gets old pretty quick, thank god i have fruit and real groceries"
*orders more tim hortons*
100%. It was right across the street... It's like they don't want me to be healthy 😞
I wanna do this so bad. I asked my friends if they'd be interested but they'll most likely just say they don't have the time or they just won't want to
We're firm believers that if we wait for our friends to do things, we'd probably never do anything at all lol. Just get out there and do it my friend!
Thanks for sharing. When it comes to Tim's, I usually get 2 eggs, bacon and a couple slices of tomato with out the english muffin. You can really put on weight with the bread. Great vid!
Great choices! Love bread though lol Thanks for watching Brandon! Cheers
Thanks for this. I'm enjoying your video and editing technique. I'm from Hamilton, Ontario, my last home was in Muskoka, now I am on Vancouver Island. I am planning a trip back for a trip to west Quebec and to visit family and old friends. I am a road warrior at heart, having bicycled in the 70's the maritimes from Ontario and later all the Maritime provinces in '76 with my wife, also on 10 speeds. Your film was a lovely reminder of the joy of road travel, and also the numbness, if I tried this journey on my new scooter. lol Cheers
That's awesome Bruce! Are you by chance heading to Gaspe Peninsula?! What a spectacular part of Canada that is. That cycling trip through Maritimes sounds awesome. I guess you'd really get to see everything travelling at slower speeds. I've wondered a couple times about getting into some backpacking trips! Glad you enjoyed the video. All the best on your upcoming travels. Cheers
I love this video! I think everyone has to experience this type of road trip to really see how beautiful our country is 100%. Keep making videos like this it's pretty cool and awesome!
100% agreed! Theres nothing quite like a long road trip. Still can't believe how much the landscapes change, all within the same country. Thanks for watching George, cheers !
god know how many times i made that trip. brings back alot of memories. that for the memories.
You're welcome Bob, thanks for watching! Cheers
I did that trip in 1983 in a 1975 Buick....
Epic !
Gets real food, then immediately proceeds to Tim Hortons to eat garbage. Wtf?
Unfortunate that's what you got out of the video. Creature of habit I suppose lol.
why in canada no body is respecting speed limits ? it's quite dangerous
Driving can be dangerous, yes. I agree, speed limits are important.
Beautiful footage!!!
Great video! I'm planning on doing a similar trip in the future, only I'll be driving from Ontario to BC. This is a beautiful country and I'd love to see more of it.
Ah that's awesome! You will love it. So much to see, make sure to take the time to soak it in if you can.. even the 'not so scenic' parts like the praries! I guess there will be lots of time to soak in that stretch because it's like 16 hours of flat ground haha. Safe journey!
@@wayoftheroads Thank you!
It sure gets boring after Jasper, eh?
Haha a little bit, but theres lots of great parts of Saskatchewan/Manitoba that you won't see along the trans Canada !
Hey where you in july ! and with wich camera you film ? !! well done !
Amazing. It's a Canon RP camera with a 24-105 lens and a mavic mini 2 drone :). Thanks for watching !
Hey bud you could have stopped in at our house. I have hot water and everything
Next time ! Hot water, what a luxury. Beats the ice cold rivers/lakes 😂
@@wayoftheroads The door is always open.
I currently don't know how to drive, have never really been outside my tiny hometown, but I'm moving from Grand Forks, BC to North Bay, ON in the next few years and am doing this trip by myself.
That's awesome man, it's a beautiful drive! You got this 🤙.
Lunch with your friend terry was so niche, heartwarming and funny
He's a great guy !
mind I ask which day and approx when you saw that black bear mom with 2 cubs? I couldn't get rid of the idea that they were the one family I say in May, just looked soooooo alike
sorry I meant approx where😄
I believe it was just outside of Glacier NP ? Hard to be certain, it was a fast paced trip haha
@@wayoftheroads it could as well be lol, I saw them on May 19 in Jasper NP, it just the facial feature of the 2 cubs from your video are strinkingly alike those pictures I took. Thanks tho!
@@siyaopeng5610 always such a humbling experience seeing them out in the wild ! Definitely something you don't forget !
Nice video❤
Thank you !
@@wayoftheroads watching you from algeria DZ canada the dream
@@younesyounes4327 that's really cool! Canada is a beautiful country
Nice one, it sure is a beautiful drive. Its nice to drive at a relaxed pace, seen the sunrise, then sunset, then sunrise again all on one go a few times. Pretty sure ive slept at almost every rest stop on that highway 5/1 over the years. You sure cover ground, but its nowhere near as enjoyable. Never been that far east though, thanks for taking us along to see it
Love a good rest stop in the middle of nowhere. We've done this drive over the span of a few weeks before but this one was a quick trip. Love it every time! Thanks for watching :)
Great video, thanks for sharing your drive brother!
