Bowl Knew60 (Nue PCB) with Kailh Stem Vintage MX Blacks | Sound Test

I saw this board come up on mm for a good price and just jumped on it. It was built with these switches but it was full backspace so I desoldered the backspace and made it split with a spare opblack I had from my jane build. I did spring swap to 70g tx long because the spring weight that it came with was just way to light for my taste. They were gold so at least they were not cherry springs. I also had to redo the spacebar because it was a bit too rattily for me, sorry to the person who built this. I got this board because I have heard really good things about the nue and that board goes for way too much. This board was way more stiff than I was expecting it to be but the pcb for this board is 1.6mm instead of the 1.2mm that the nue comes with. This probably changes the typing feel a good but due to the mounting being directly on the pcb. It probably sounds better this way tho. Because I have a spare pcb for this I cut off the side tabs to give the board a bit more give and I don't think it made that much difference overall but now the board feels a bit more uniform. These vints are pretty smooth and I do think the kailh stem makes them sound really nice on the plateless mounting. I now currently own every era of mx black besides hyperglide which is kinda funny. Pretools are absolute garbage btw. This will be a good beater board as it is already pretty scuffed. I'm kinda trying to find a premium 60% that I really like because I kinda have a few tkls now. if you actually read these comment "mx black go thocc" or something idk man I just have no idea if anyone reads these.
Also holy shit the f2 vid got a of views. I wanna rebuild with the 1.1 alu plate because the plateless has gotten a bit boring.

I love me some cherry scratch don't get me wrong, but the pretool batch that I had was something else. They were the scratchiest switches I have ever used after 1 mill break in, 205g0, spring swap and film. Like unusably scratchy. They were harvested from a 2000's cherry board so they were probably not the best ones out there but hyperglides have been really good to me especially after break in. Check out my Jane v2 video with hyperglides on alu. That thing sounds insane.
