  • What was Khabib’s strategy that made all of his opponent’s look amateur? He was an endurance fighter, similar to Sean Strickland, who would pressure his opponent’s physically and psychologically, dragging them into deep water, and then he’d pick them apart once they got tired.
    UFC Vet, Vince “The Anomaly” breaks down 3 ways to zap your opponent’s gas tank:
    0:00 - Intro
    0:39 - Pressure on the Feet
    1:18 - Cage Bullying & Wall Work
    2:06 - Ride Them & Make Them Carry You
    2:41 - Psychological Pressure

    For #3 (Make him carry you), pay attention to Vince's legs as he circles. He angles himself to keep hip pressure on his opponent, almost a mobile sprawl. So it's not just dead weight on top of Shane, it's applied pressure.

      I think you have to pace yourself and vary the % of power you put into shots,if you saw Strickland vs izzy u realize u can put pressure on someone without throwing a lot or doing a lot like merab or khabib would do,but u need amazing stamina

      don't lean on ur legs too much keep a straight posture like the one sean strickland uses

      @gozza1993 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@builder481 You can only have that posture and stance against a guy like Izzy where there is no threat of takedowns, if you stand up straight against most mma fighters you will just get double legged non stopped

    "Sap their energy" As in deplete it.
    "Zap their energy" sounds like someone who's only overheard someone else saying it and misheard the "sap" part.
    Zapping their energy actually sounds like you're GIVING them more energy...since that's what a "zap" is...

      The fact that a sports newscaster also messed up and used 'zapped of energy' rather than 'sapped of energy' doesn't make it correct. It just means you both used the wrong word.🤷‍♂🤷‍♂
