@@counterkidnapping1737 ... Main thing with underhooks is you need to know how to underhook correctly or your opponent has an overhook... if that makes sense
This is Truly one of the Most Underrated channels out there Insanely Good Videos and Info I can not believe there are not at least a million subs for real
Nah, it was good in the beginning and stays good. There's lots of good gyms and fighters and instructors and coaches out there.. it's good to see a benchmark, due to the variety as well as the "up and coming" nature of human martial culture.. but this channel isn't "underrated", as it has huge acclaim, especially since one of the Peterson gym MMA fighters is doing well (not to mention the wrestling tournaments and meets)
Awesome! Props to you as an instructor for teaching in an easy to learn way! I’m 5’8 160lbs and this exact takedown was what allowed me take down and embarrass a scary ass dude who is 6’5” 270lbs that decided he wanted to come after me unprovoked and without any warning. #1 on my personal highlight reel and I am still in awe of how easy it seemed.
@@alexanderrodriguez8582 He was probably a super nice guy drunk as hell stumbled over his own big ass feet and was falling reaching for help and u push him to the ground. 6'5 270 is a big boy for a guy 5'8 160 to take him down easy. That man's hands probably wrap around your entire face while he bonks u on top of your head.

You are most welcome. One of the reasons I love this channel is because you read and acknowledge viewers' comments even though you don't have to. Awesome!
I coach youth wrestling, and the wrestlers that continue to shie through out the year, and continue to grow into stand out wrestlers, regardless of experience, are the ones that ask the right questions, and stay after a little late to go over a technique. Such as this man here. Great simple break down!
I don't think I could add anything more to what has already been said by other viewers, but just let me say this is awesome. You have my total respect, admiration and appreciation. Thank you, Coach Brian.

Can't believe the knowledge you're putting out there! It's exactly the stuff I've been looking for, and this technique connects perfectly with what I already know. And you're right, there's some details in there I hadn't seen.
Brilliant explanation...I've always wondered why the indide tye is important...I've never had it explained and demonstrated to me...thank you very much sir...
Man this is great! I have always liked the outside reap and the hip toss against bigger guys because when I was trained in Judo we practiced every move against every person in the gym so you got to practice against everybody from large to small and I found that those two throws seem to work great against larger opponents as long as you were able to read their energy and make your adjustments right you can make spectacular throws against big boys. This method for getting into a single leg without puuting your face in danger of knee strikes would be perfect to throw into the mix when you get caught in a tie up struggle with a big guy who isnt opening up for throws. And the way you are explaining the intricacies of every position through the move is excellent! Thanks coach!
I was 135. Showed up late to a dual. Coach made me wrestle 167. Just so eye opening to feel 30 lbs of muscle. People who say the stupid line, "Size doesn't matter" have never completed in a sport with weight classes.
sizd matter, deal with it,demetrious Johnson also lost to big guy after that, that is jiu jitsu, not wrestling,in jiu jitsu size difference doesnt really matter cuz the techniques (no slam, standing control,etc)@@panossuperhero
I was the first female to wrestle men at the four year level , (* until Dean cut the team in favor of hockey, looking at you LSSU).I'm not a feminist , so you've never heard of me but this channel is absolutely fabulous.
Very easy to get instructions, great job boss! It is a variant of my favourite takedown and yes, it is something that works on bigger people. Only takedown that worked for me on one of the guys at our gym (he was not only bigger, but also stronger than me, that guy was a beast)
This is a very good video. When I watch it, I wonder how you would protect yourself when the big man has his hands on you and decides he's going to punch your head off.
I hope to find this level of training somewhere near me soon. After a while I’d like one that would allow actual practice with protective gear against someone genuinely trying to stop what you’re doing as opposed to just motions.
that steering push pull is a classic hapkido technique or taekwondo, bascially when you do that move, it will get the person spun around in a very similar fashion. Once that is completed and they are spun around, you apply the back choker hold sleeping head lock, at that same time your pulling the person back, so they cant gain balance. I dont care what style anyone does they all link in some way shape or form. Awesome stuff great video.
Thank you for addressing the whole pinching with your legs thing!!! This has been a discussion in my circles for years, honestly. I'm not a fan of it at all for many reasons. I think it's used improperly all the dam time!
Can You do comprehensive grappling course -focused on self defense ?Something like : drills go to clinch taking minimal damage ,drill dominant grip, transition to take down.I will happy to pay up to 100 $ for course (i still consider this as cheap).Course designed to take down on stronger but not trained in art of grappling opponents.Best grappling channel I ever seen. You are so good as teacher !
literally was teaching my kids this the other day and they looked at me like I had 6 heads. I am like guys.... control, control, control lol. Glad you validated it for me lol now I can show the kids.
Thanks for the great video! But you can also trap the leg of your opponent very well between your own legs, if you squeeze it right at the ankle and right in the kneecap. Pretty hard to escape this squeeze if it's at the right spot.
To do pinching with your knees, you need to keep your feet close one to another. That comprises your base and you can be pushed back. With the staggered stance as is shown in the video, your base is wider and you are less vulnerable to be pushed.
My dad and I have been wrestling lately and he's so much bigger it's hard to do more than just stay up! He's challenged me to try to take him down (gently) and now I'm committed! Lol
Thanks Adam Sandler

OMG...That guy is a tiny giant. That wedge technique of the single leg is pretty damn genius
Works well against a sweaty barefoot guy in BJJ cus can't grip the rubber of the shoe and get the lockdown on single as you might do in Wrestling
