As a taekwondo athlete how does this man have such perfect kicks, like his kicks are olympic level even if they are not, they are definitely high level. It shocks me cuz as taekwondo athlete we mostly concentrate on kicks theres not much else at least in WT taekwondo, but this man is a MMA/kickboxing coach and if he wanted to transition to taekwondo coaching he'd be still one of the best...
Right on brother. I taught to "punch with your kicks". Hadn't heard anyone else mention that. Developing an effective lead leg side kick, in my opinion, is very important. Some of the most difficult students to convince have been MMA fighters. But once it clicks, they are all over it.
Beautiful and extremely well executed kicks dude!!! Hard work pays off. Your tips have really helped me when I train. I'm not a fighter but am a person who practices martial arts regularly. I'm in my late 40's but have been training for over 30 years and am so happy to have subscribed to your channel Mr. Fazen. Keep up the great work👍
The 'path of least resistance' is fastest. But the wide style (which goes through the golden kick catch drill position and is practiced in the same way) allows you to go high or low from a similar raised knee ('catch') position, so your oponent doesn't know where to guard before the final flick, up or down, of the shin so you can be slow but be difficult to guard.
I recently watched your spinning wheel kick tutorial, you’re the only one that shows how to kick with the heel and not the hook kick. Couldn’t find it anywhere.
I been teaching my nieces some basics , because imo all girls should know how to fight lol but these videos help me figure out how to explain things better to them and if I'm missing important steps or tricks the 7yr old already walks around the house working the knees 🤣 now were working on the "golden" kick
plan on starting muay thai + bjj lessons soon, problem is im not flexible at all! any stretches or exercises that can help improve flexibility and mobility!?
Sensei I have question on roundhouse kick or low kick... when I kick heavy bag with shin not with foot It sounds and looks like I pushed the bag, and I watched this video and a lot of video about rotating whole body and rotating the foot you are standing on, and literally I watched full detail how to do it, but when I do it on heavy bag it sounds like I pushed And I also feel like I didn't do any damage.
Using the catch excercise to practice, spin you knee up, and your body to face at right angles to the target, and then release your lower leg (shin) when your knee is pointing at your target, like a badminton wrist flick, or the tip of a whip. Think about whipping with an imaginary whip. The base of the whip moves pretty slow, but the final flick of the tip creates the speed.
Having such a hard time with Muay Thai kicking versus the years of conditioning in TKD and Karate. I may be getting in my head but I feel like all the other kickboxers can do it perfectly but I’m always having to macro adjust in sparring. 🙄🙄💩
First of all, your video is helpful in a lot of ways. Second, what if the opponent has a knife or two knives? The kick hits the blade of the knife. The faster and harder the kick, the greater the damage from the knife. Indeed, a cutlass, a sword or a hooked sword can use the power of a kick against the kicker. Let's not forget a short spear. ruclips.net/video/kzbDWpcimPo/видео.html I gave my grandma two sharpened railroad spikes for Christmas. Somehow, the old Pacifist just didn't appreciate my gift. Anyway, thanks for the helpful video.
But I'm a one legged fighter because I have a disability but yet I can move an shake 2000 pound exactly how I Trained to do .....why say that when one kick from this crippled man that can ruin your life forever 🫤and destroy your legs and body forever 🫡thank for the training advice I will never be mad
Dude you still telegraphing every kick. Why you stutter stepping before every kick? I understand you might want more power but that's definitely not the quickest way to land a kick.
I’m doing Karate and I’m a solid yellow, it is so god dang hard to kick without having it being caught or something, and they tell me to kick faster or bring it back faster, how the hell do I even do that, I feel so unmotivated
Some people spend money and time on seminars for this exact information, he condensed it into 5 min and shared it for free.
What a guy.
🙏☺️ That's what I'm here for!
Man I really love your tips bro, you explain things so well that it won't discourage anyone but instead motivates.
I always think huh that's it cus you make it look easy. Reality is i can't even raise my leg high enough to hit ribs forget ever hitting head.
man I relate to that
Can't be neglecting that stretching man, gotta keep consistent at it 💪

Boxing videos waiting for Brother 🥊
Bro's accuracy and speed is so good that he easily transitions to punch and kick.
Just remember how much stamina this style takes if you are throwing good volume.
"Precision beats power, timing beats speed"
- some guy in the UFC
For the punch with your legs tip, remember that reel literally means foot jab
Can you do a video for these same drills, but for those if us who aren't as flexible or are fat?
Plz make more videos for kick faster
How do you stay balanced on the balls of your feet or do you return to flat footed after you catch your kick for the drill?
Liam Harrison I think has one of the fastest roundhouse kicks I have seen
Thansk man ❤
How do you make your retraction faster? What exercises can you do to improve the retraction speed? It's a good tip, but now how do i achieve it?
you are amazing
You should make a complete tutorial of how to use the Philly shell guard, like Floyd Mayweather.
Great advice! However, if you kick raising your leg vertically first instead of performing a circular move, don't you lose some striking power?
Same doubt
Does the kick loose some power because it's being turned over at the last second?

Punch with your legs? Someone's been watching the art of self defence
First 30 seconds gave him a subscribe like in comment now that’s a hook
I keep falling every time I do the golden kick catch drill not to bad tho i last until i count to 2
Totally unrelated but I've had a wrist injury from hitting the heavy bag incorrectly and 6 months later still an issue 😪

Its a switch kick.. he literally said it in this video.
