If it’s a well used controller it’ll get stuck from dirt, sweat, etc. the “gently” pry open part is tricky. What I’ve found after taking apart 5-6controllers is to slowly wedge something along any opening you can. I used several guitar picks, since they’re plastic and won’t damage the plastic like a metal screwdriver. Hope this helps. Lmk how it goes.
Hm, try to connect to the PS4 with a USB to make sure you're charged, connected and paired? Otherwise, maybe you forgot to close the latch on the ribbon connecting to the circuit board? Try disconnecting and reconnecting the battery? Hopefully nothing's broken :)

the buttons don't protrude enough and are loose on the ps4 slim controllers :(

I bought a set and about to install them. Hell I bought em for the simple reason that they looked like bullets nothing to cringe about

I took all the screws out on the controller but it's like the shell is glued on. I can't open the controller .
