Very informative video. One of my PS4 controller buttons won’t press down properly. Any ideas on how to fix or is it time to buy a new one? I’ve had this since 2016.
So I recently put a shell on my controller, previously I had a extreme rate remap kit that was working fine on it. Since I’ve put on the new shell the controller, it doesn’t work. For example L2 will randomly be r1 and so on. Any suggestions on what’s going on here, I’ve torn everything apart and put it back together but nothing seems to be working.
I think it depends on the controller model. In the video he is using the second generation, to find out if it is the second generation just turn the controller on and see if there is a light bar on the track pad. If there is no light bar on the track pad then your controller is the first generation. Hope this helped, tell me if it worked if that’s fine

For what ps4 controller is this ? Or does it matter ? Theres ome with lightbar at the top

@Leeum103 not all of them, the gen 1 controllers do not have light bars on them

Yeah it seems that L2 and R1 are the only buttons affected
