The thing that annoys me the most is that the show creators said in an interview (can’t remember the exact vid) that if Nina hadn’t left the show they would have had Stelena as endgame. Either way the writers screwed up and Stelena should have been endgame anyway !!

They didn’t say that they said they would’ve killed elena but since nina left when she was in coma there was no storyline for her to die they had to kill somebody. Either Damon or Stefan.

***** Totally agree. However, Damon never shows remorse for anyone, so it's not a shocker. Even when Stefan had his humanity switch off, he still felt some degree of remorse with every kill--in a twisted way haha. What I don't understand is how people can come up with absurd excuses for Damon when Damon himself doesn't give a crap about it. At least Stefan faces his problems and is rational. Stefan and Elena are endgame. The parallels the writers are giving us make me laugh, it's so obvious. Stefan and Elena have a beautiful relationship AND friendship--that comes with understanding, compassion, compromising, all the things a good relationship should be. With Damon, he makes all the decisions. She's said so herself that she has to bend her morals again and again.... That's not "love". And people who say Elena changes Damon are completely delusional. One word: Whitmore. RIP.

Just here to tell people that Nina and Paul deserve awards (more than 1) their acting was so real.. and Nina had to play both Elena and Katherine (two different characters) and she played it so convincingly..

Demon and elena is modern day abusive relationship that appeared to be romantic in the tv series. In real life only elena and stafen makes sense.

Even though it’s years later and i have re watched TVD a thousand times, it still infuriates me that elena left stefan for damon. If i had stefan, I would never let him go. His personality, looks, character is everything!!!
Stelena was epic. It was pure and passionate and beautiful. If Damon never came to mystic falls then they would be together. Elena would be human. Things would stay the same. Love made them feel alive. It was real even with no humanity. You can tell elena still loved him when she had no humanity. She said it herself. It will always be stefan. She’s not scared of him and she know what she wants. They saved each others lives over and over because they were and still are endgame.
