Hello JJJ, I have an update on my haul from a month ago. I got roughly 100lbs of bulk for 400$, pretty clean and a lot of Minifigs. I have many hours into processing and sorting, and actually opened up a bricklink store. It's very time consuming but enjoyable. One of my highlights from the haul was when I turned off my lights to go to bed, I noticed a minifgure was glow in the dark 😂. I didn't even know they made them but I have a Nearly Headless Nick
There might be some decent value in the parts hopefully, either for mocs or bricklink. Some of the city boat parts depending on condition are not the cheapest, but not super valuable either. Still, variety in a store isn't a bad thing, so adding more quantity and variety of parts and the few fig parts you have is still very helpful
I have been salvaging some stuff from the figs and when I get to the parts themselves and clean them, I know I will find some useful stuff there. Will definitely continue to add some variety to the store!
The parts that aren't sellable can be tossed in a plastic bag and donated to a thrift store. I'd love to find a plastic bag full of minifig parts while thrifting, even if they were beat up.
That's a really solid idea, although most of the parts were either salvageable OR totally destroyed. And I don't think I want to donate some really shredded parts. Kinda feels like donating junk I guess.
Yeah I'm discovering this... but I also have to think that maybe they will get people to the store who want droids and they will pick up other things as well!
Yep, I'd salvage what you can. It's tough to walk away in the heat of the moment, might be able to list on ebay as bad condition in bulk, or use parts, legs, in your own stuff? I wish you luck, maybe you will find some gems!!
Yeah I'm definitely salvaging some stuff. A bunch had to get thrown out, but I was able to piece together some figs and some parts with damage, but listing as such. Kinda going with my gut on what would I buy if I was looking for a fig for my collection?
Some of the best deals i ever got were on, of all places, Craigslist.... Yeah yeah, I know but seriously though, I got $1k worth of sets and figs for $100

Hey nice Will! 100 pounds for 400 bucks plus figs is a killer deal!!! It is definitely time consuming but the hunt is fun!

Definitely! I have salvaged some good stuff from it so far in terms of the figs and yes for sure adding more variety!
Yeah sometimes I buy lots on ebay or pieces on bricklink and later regret spending the money but at the end of the day all you can do is move on :)
Buying Lego is just too tantalizing! But yes working through what I have and making the best of it!
@@JJJBricks Yeah true
It happens - sucks when it does. You'll find money/use out of the parts like you said, so not a total loss. But doesn't help the sting.

At least you didn't buy it for 99 bucks, that is positive and I do see some potential there.
Right? Yeah there is definitely potential in the parts and I'm finding some of the minifig parts to be salvageable!
Droids arent real valuable. Maybe the super battle droid or something more unique but the regular battle droids are like a dollar each i believe

@JJJBricks oh yea they never hurt to have lol
Dang. That is an unfortunate buy. BUT, it's Lego and they for sure have a value to someone. I would and could totally use them for stop motion videos.
I don't have the patience for stop motion! haha but that would be fun. Thanks Fah
