The other day I saw a set that was a lego knock off; it was a miniature willy's steam boat inside the ship in a bottle, copying both those lego idea sets !
To be fair, some of the brands - like Cobi or Bluebricks for example - I wouldn't call 'fake Lego'. They have simply produced Lego-like bricks ever since the copyright on those has run out, but they're doing legit stuff and pay for licenses just like any other proper company. Often times, their quality is even better than Lego for a better price.
Yeah I'm honestly surprised that a long time Lego RUclipsr seems to be largely unaware to the world of alternative brick brands. Like there's a whole load of decent WW2 brick sets out there that Lego will never made themselves (because of their anti war policy)
Mega Construx is still my favorite for just the amount of licenses they have access to. Pokémon, Alien, Predator, God of War, Splinter Cell, freaking Hellboy!
I'm not a huge fan of fake LEGO either, but at least these sets had somewhat original designs. The ones that copy official LEGO-or worse, *fan* designs-are truly scummy.

The thing about Cobi is that they’re not exactly fake, they are a good quality and have some amazing solid tanks. If you wanted a cobi tiger 1 minifig scale it would be around $75, but a beyond the brick Tiger 1 minifig scale would be around $200

In my opinion bootleg lego is only good for the figures and weapons. Normally it's the heads that are bad so you could just upgrade them with real lego heads
When the lego 90th anniversary castle come out later this year I'm definitely getting some off brand lego knight gear and minifigs to fill out my army.

I really enjoy your videos and especially this one. I'm a big proponent of quality off-brand building bricks for two reasons: price and variety. What I'd really like to see is a direct comparison between an official LEGO set and a knock-off, ie. the Medieval Blacksmith ($150US) vs. one purchased off of aliexpress (~$75US)
Yeah like copy and the original comparisons, cause you could find some old retired sets, USC sets, like all sort of stuff literally half the price. So yea would be pretty interesting to see

Super vid bro! I think those Minifigures were okay but the T-Rex was a big disappointment considering the fact that it didn't look nothing like a T-Rex color-wise!
It did not look like a jurrasic park t-Rex but we do not know the original t-Rex colors cause we have only seen skeletons so it could be rainbow in theory but it is highly unlikely
Fake LEGO has really stepped up its game since Megablox back in the day, I keep seeing suggestions for them and I can see some pieces for old LEGO molds that don’t exist anymore.
Honestly I really like the unofficial Among Us sets. They add to the collection smoothly, and they feel more fan-made than bootleg(even if they had to give some of them arms).
#1: Very good. I like the design for the guards. #2: My life is a living hell because of this. #3: Even though I don't really like Fortnite, I would probably buy this.
Knock off mini figures are so much better than offical ones if you get them from a good brand. Some brands make custom figures that lego havent made and sometimes make more detailed ones of already existing ones that look miles better than offical ones.
I would like your take on the Prequil one offered from the comic site. They do use legit pieces. I don't think lego has a deal with the game the set is based off of.
Sometimes, I was never into bootleg lego for same build or minifigs from original Lego sets that existed, but I am mostly going for the parts what I keep while the rest of the minifigure or a build ever been recycled or selling it. Great video, by the way.
In my experience, I'd say Kreo is the best offbrand Lego. They have some really cool pieces, and the Minifigures are so cool. The Minifigures have way more articulation in the let's and arms than Lego Minifigures. I suggest purchasing some Kreo sets :)

Just gunna say it, I prefer mega construx over lego. The pieces behave well, the mini figures are WAY more detailed and more articulated than legos (newer figures are better looking but older figs are still comparatively better) and mega construx has no stickers, at least, in recent sets
The Lego brick system is no longer under a patent protection. So many spin offs now in the market. The only difference is the quality control / assurance (although Lego has deteriorated too) and the plastic quality used. The bright colouring of spin offs may be toxic as well that won’t passed the UL or EC ratings.
