For me the most over powered item is the light arrow. It achieves the two requirements. It not only deals massive damage, but it is also a crucial weapon to banish evil or demon-like enemies. On top of that you can hit the enemy from distance without risking getting hit.
Unfortunately though, the Light Arrows are never used to *completely* banish Ganon(dorf), at best stunning him. They're always used in tandem with the Master Sword, which appears to be the only weapon capable of truly doing so. Even in Breath of the Wild, which for some reason completely disregards the Master Sword as nothing more than optional, the Light Arrows merely *weaken* the Malice form of Ganon, only for Zelda to actually seal it away. By now, we also know that it wasn't really "Ganon" in his complete form at all. ALTP "Silver" Arrows seem to be the only exception to this rule.
@@lloydaran or perhaps the silver and light arrows are the same? It's possible the Golden color is just the light they emit and they're actually made of silver. In Majora's Mask, I would have mentioned the Great Fairy's sword instead. You can only use the helix blade when you wear the FD mask, and even that is only usable against bosses, so... it's not as if Link can take a lot of advantage from it. Also, because it's only obtainable at the very end of the game. The Great Fairy's sword, however, can be obtained sooner (how much sooner depends on the way you have played the game) and can be used by standard Link at any given moment.
The little charging animation on the Light Bow in Spirit Tracks is so neat, it mesmerised me when I played through that game. Bows are my favourite fantasy weapon, and I always loved light/ angelic themes, I wish other Light Bows in the Zelda series borrowed from it!
The most I can say for OOT ice arrows is that they made it easier for me to get through the corridor in the sacred forest meadow with the hammer orc dude. The one with the ground attack that knocks you back. Not useful in a normal playthrough but as a kid when I revisted the area to explore for fun, it was a nice utility
The Fierce Deity’s Mask isn’t really an artifact; it’s more of a phenomenon. It’s something that is created from the emotions of everyone in Termina, and likely takes a form similar to the wearer, hence it looking like Link
For Triforce Heroes, i think i have to give the title to the fierce deity sword, again. For completing the game's hardest singular challenge, you gain a costume which doubles sword damage, while also shooting out 4 sword beams in a cross orientation centered on the sword swing. Sure, maybe the hammer suit does more inherent damage, but the fierce deity has superior range and utility, since you dont need a hammer to be present in the level to use it and the magic meter is irrelevant. Not to mention swing speed. The hammer still has a slight delay before hitting an enemy, which the fierce deity only has a delay on the sword beams, and the fierce deity's effectiveness is further increased by using a horizontal sword swing compared to the hammer's vertical overhead swing that leaves an exploitable opening.
The fool's Ore is actually technically more powerful that Biggoron/Master Sword, dealing 6 points of damage in OoS. I say technically as it requires hacking to get it out of Subrosia.
A contender for the most powerful weapon in Majora's Mask is actually the bomb flower. Dealing 8 damage (same as great fairy sword jumpslash) with a lingering hitbox that can hit more than once, it can shred through 16 of Odolwa's 20HP in a single explosion.
When I’d I saw there was a new Zeldik video, I got this big smile on my face. I remember one time when I was playing BOTW on Master Mode, I found a royal guard’s claymore that did 115 damage. Made defeating Calamity Ganon a cinch. 🙂
I remember mentioning some lore behind the ancient arrows and a chunk of people didn't think I was correct on it. The lore in question is that an ancient arrow is just an ancient dagger strapped to an arrow.
For ALBW: If a Dark Link has a Purple Potion and you're in Hero Mode... Pray he doesn't use it. It *WILL* one-shot you if you don't have a Mail. And if you do have one, it's still 8/16 hearts in an instant that covers almost the whole arena. To avoid it, jump in the void (or the arena's equivalent), and fast. If there is none (like in the Apple Tree arena), accept your fate.
Correction, against Ganon, the Master Sword specifically deals the most damage, Ganon has a damage mitigation to all but the Master Sword, which makes what you use to deal damage almost irrelevant, and the Master Sword has a damage multiplier to Ganon only
The strongest weapon in OoT is actually the Giant's Knife, not the Biggoron's Sword. It's a little bit more powerful, but unfortunately it breaks after being used 5 times. Some people like to buy it and use it for the final battle with Ganon.
It’s starting to become frustrating tbh. Like what’s the point of even obtaining it if it’s far from being the strongest weapon and has a timer stacked on top of it??
I'd argue that the magic wand is the most powerful weapon in _LInk's Awakening._ The thing has a faster projectile than the boomerang and damages more things. The only real advantage the boomerang has is that it can kill Sparks and Anti-Fairies, and can one-shot Dethl, the final boss. As you said at the beginning, totally a matter of opinion, and you can definitely make a case for the boomerang, especially with the Flying Rooster Boomerang trick, where you throw the boomerang, and grab onto the Flying Rooster, and the boomerang will hover under you, and you can just clear the screen of enemies by floating around on the Flying Rooster. 9:23 - By this logic, the level 2 sword is _Link's Awakening's_ strongest weapon if you get the Red Mail.
The first thing that comes to mind is the x5 shot savage lynel bow loaded with ancient arrows. If the giant's mask counts as a weapon, it could be the strongest in the series.
I do not disagree about the ball and chain being the strongest item in TP. Watched YTer Dee Bee Geek play through the Zelda games, and once he got this from TP he used it SO MUCH because...yep. It is really REALLY strong and useful. EDIT: 9:24 Loved that ASoIaF/GoT reference there.

Beyond the Obliterator and Ancient Arrows, the single highest damage weapon in BotW is an Attack Up+ Royal Guard’s Claymore, at 116 Attack, and the weapon with the highest damage potential is the Ancient Battleaxe++ due to the Ancient Armor’s Ancient Proficiency buff.
Being truthful, I would not count the One-Hit Obliterator for being a contender for being the most powerful weapon. Its only usable for one small section of the DLC it comes from. It comes with the drawback of causing you to be killed in one hit if you use it, and its forced to recharge. Depending on one's playstyle, the one-handed weapons, two-handed weapons, and spears of the highest caliber would be the most powerful. But also take durability into consideration as well.
It is technically the most destructive weapon in the game (infinite damage is quite a lot), though. That's what he was ranking it on. Then again, it _is_ dlc, but I think it's still a fair argument.
I would love to see what the most powerful one-handed, two-handed, and spear was too, even tho they probably are just the savage lynel sword/crusher/spear
@@VtinMusic Nope, Crusher is outdamaged by Ancient Axe++ with Ancient Proficiency and a 75 damage value, as well as Royal Guard Claymore with a 116 damage value. Sword is the strongest one handed, it can have a 100 damage value. Spear sucks tho, so the Royal Guard one with 48 damage value is better.
Yeah, I got a fair bit of use out of the Ball-and-Chain in the Cave of Ordeals. They're great against Stalfos and Chilfos, as well as ReDead Knights. Though for the first and the last of those, IIRC, you have to be close enough that the ball goes beyond them after hitting them, then comes back and hits them again.
Cool list! I wonder why you excluded the Hyrule Warriors games, though. I was curious to see what the strongest weapon + character combination would have been in them.
Yup! As far as I can tell the Ball and Chain hits as hard as a bomb arrow, though can kill Freezards! Though I agree, bomb arrows are much easier to use
Not super relevant to this videos topic, but it occurred to me when you mentioned the Fierce Deity's mask. But have you ever talked about how you can become the fierce deity out of boss fights and roam termina in God form in Majora's mask during the Kafei and Anju quest line? It would probably be in one of your secrets or trivia video. And I've seen just about all of your videos over the years but I'm not sure if you've brought it up.
In Cadence of Hyrule, the most powerful weapon, or actually weapons, would be the Jeweled Dagger, wielded by Zelda and Cadence, or the Kokiri Sword, wielded by Link. Both have a damage output of 5, which is able to kill almost all normal enemies, no matter what stage of the game you’re in, at the cost of range. You can only hit one adjacent space in front of you.
Honestly I'm a big fan of one-handed weapons in Botw like Royal Broadswords and Halberds. They do sizeable amounts of damage and you can attack enemies very quickly
If you are watching this and totk came out the strongest weapon in the game is a royal guard clamor with a lynel horn attached to it. But if you want to go farther the royal guard clamor on its last hit with a molduga jaw as it’s fuse item with a bone prof armor and food buff it can do up to 800 damage.
In Hyrule Warriors, a great fairy can put Link in a bottle and go to battle herself. And she's a ridiculously powerfull character. This puts Link himself as one of the best weapons to wield, through he doesn't look very pleased being trapped in a bottle hahaha
Zeltic, i love your videos and ive never seen anyone talk about it. Could you consider talking about the ruins at the base of Death Mountain? I feel like it could be the remains of old kakariko from oot. Im not talking about the training grounds but the hidden, destroyed village. You can find it near the tribly plains.
@@ilikestuff9250 Yes in botw, if you go to tribly plains, you can find an old village that looks alot like the set up from twilight princess. It suprised me too and that no one talks about it.
Don't know if we'll be so lucky to get a weapon as powerful as the One Hit Obliterator in the upcoming sequel to BotW, but maybe it'll make a reappearance somehow (without the unnecessary drainage of Link's heart gauge down to 1/4 heart). Fun Fact: Using the Bombos Medallion at the start of the battle with Kholdstare in ALttP will automatically shatter its ice barrier, and initiate Kholdstare's 2nd phase!
Fool's Ore (the stone you get when the Subrosians steal the Roc's Feather from Link) is actually more powerful than even the Biggoron Sword in the Oracle games. While it doesn't have as much range, its hits deal about as much damage as a spin attack from that game's Master Sword, and looks to come with increased hit-stun, meaning it's easy to bludgeon even bosses like Aquamentus into submission in two or three swings if you use the password system to get access to it earlier, and can even make short work of Onox's dragon form. The wiki doesn't cover it for some reason, but there are youtube videos out there of bosses being solo'd with specific weapons and again with just the Fool's Ore that you can extrapolate data from by using the data it does cover.
8:03 I am still a little sad that "Hammer-wielding Ciela" isn't an optional weapon for Toon Link in Hyrule Warriors. Analog to the Great Fairy "Weapon" for regular Link. 8:47 That's technically wrong. Because they aren't "Bombs" at all. The Great Fairy's sword, however, can be obtained sooner (how much sooner depends on the way you have played the game) and can be used by standard Link at any given moment.
This will be a very interesting topic for the new Echoes of Wisdom game lol
The little charging animation on the Light Bow in Spirit Tracks is so neat, it mesmerised me when I played through that game.
Bows are my favourite fantasy weapon, and I always loved light/ angelic themes, I wish other Light Bows in the Zelda series borrowed from it!
The little noise the arrows make when changing up makes me so nostalgic too!
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword had the Sacred Bow and Arrows that one-shoted enemies plus 8 Pouch slots for additional arrows
Have you ever done a video on the most useless or overrated item from each game? The ice arrow from OOT has to be a contender for that.
Almost all zeldas: legendary or unique weapons.
Original Links awakening: flying stick go boom
Deja vu... Glad you edited this to include the One Hit Obliterator for BotW. I was surprised you chose Ancient Arrows with the previous version.
Zeltik's video are so relaxing :D
The Fierce Deity’s Mask isn’t really an artifact; it’s more of a phenomenon. It’s something that is created from the emotions of everyone in Termina, and likely takes a form similar to the wearer, hence it looking like Link
Good to see the video is back!
4:00 bruhhhhhh i got stuck on ganon cuz of using the giant sword xD i didnt know wtf to do
I remember mentioning some lore behind the ancient arrows and a chunk of people didn't think I was correct on it.
The lore in question is that an ancient arrow is just an ancient dagger strapped to an arrow.
For ALBW:
If a Dark Link has a Purple Potion and you're in Hero Mode...
Blue Mail should be enough too.
@@bilib1891
Oh yeah, I forgot you have 20 hearts in ALBW...
Damn it PH (first in the series) and ST!
Your channel is killing it bro. Love to see it and I love the Legend of Zelda
i literally only sent this cause he said "the one hit obliterator doesn't discriminate" and I thought that was funny
i find it funny how the master sword, the canonically most powerful weapon, got beaten in every game it appeared in.
It’s starting to become frustrating tbh. Like what’s the point of even obtaining it if it’s far from being the strongest weapon and has a timer stacked on top of it??
Actually the most powerful item in windwaker is the magic armor, it essentially makes you immortal as long as you have a ton of rupees
Zeltik’s content is *UNDERRATED*
I love the A Song of Ice and Fire reference thrown in there when explaining Tri Force Heroes.
Real ogs remember the original upload
I thought I remembered already watching this
I'd argue that the magic wand is the most powerful weapon in _LInk's Awakening._ The thing has a faster projectile than the boomerang and damages more things.
I would love if there was some sort of glitch to let you use the champ tuning fork anywhere.
Supposedly the game has a failsafe that makes it do only 1 damage when you're not on the great plateau. I saw this in another comment somewhere
Glad the video is back
6:02 ChuChu proving it’s the most powerful enemy in the game, can dodge light itself
“Hammers are better than Swords.” Until you’re stabbed in the gut by a pig without legitimate heirs which sparks off a massive continent wide civil war.
A combination of the fierce deity mask and the milk call Chateau mourani I think that's what link will be at his strongest
I agree as well, but my reasoning is-
It can only be used one time in the game.
@@VtinMusic
Nope, Crusher is outdamaged by Ancient Axe++ with Ancient Proficiency and a 75 damage value, as well as Royal Guard Claymore with a 116 damage value.
Sword is the strongest one handed, it can have a 100 damage value.
Spear sucks tho, so the Royal Guard one with 48 damage value is better.
@@catalyst539 what sword?
Yeah, I got a fair bit of use out of the Ball-and-Chain in the Cave of Ordeals. They're great against Stalfos and Chilfos, as well as ReDead Knights. Though for the first and the last of those, IIRC, you have to be close enough that the ball goes beyond them after hitting them, then comes back and hits them again.
Cool list! I wonder why you excluded the Hyrule Warriors games, though. I was curious to see what the strongest weapon + character combination would have been in them.
2:57 As we say in ALTTP enemizer seeds, THIS ROOM NEEDS MORE BOMBOS!
Gotta be Bomb Arrows for Twilight Princess! They one shot so many enemies and are much easier to use.!
Yup! As far as I can tell the Ball and Chain hits as hard as a bomb arrow, though can kill Freezards! Though I agree, bomb arrows are much easier to use
Ok but hear me out Link throwing the 1 hit obliterater would be Op
I often used the ball of doom in TP for crowd control. Just spinning it when being swarmed kills everything almost instantly.
The fire rod in Links Awakening was very powerful.
It seems My Lord Zeltik is a huge ASOIAF fan! I wish you good fortune in the wars to come.
In SsW, if you enhance the bow to the max, each arrows makes twice the damage of the Master Sword, and it's really fast to use
7:43 - Well as another famous youtube letsplayer said:
"FEAR THINE HAMMER!!"
A note on the tri force heroes hammer; It deals 8 hearts of damage which is is enough to 2 shot the toughest enemy in the game, the purple dragons
8:46 Oh, it's probably the bee
8:56 *sweats profusely trying not to say lean*
In Tri Force Heroes, the outfit that upgrades the Spin Attack makes it do 4x the damage of a regular sword, plus Link is invincible while spinning.
Honestly I'm a big fan of one-handed weapons in Botw like Royal Broadswords and Halberds. They do sizeable amounts of damage and you can attack enemies very quickly
Love these "In Every Zelda Game" videos!
Now where is the weapon that let's us save Marin from being trapped as a seagull forever ?
That weapon would be the GOAT.
What is this music 4:59 ?
Awesome video bro!
I love when Zeltik uploads
Oh finally its back! I was 3/4ths done with the video when it went private!
How could you forget the almighty master torch from botw. Everyone knows that it is the most powerful thing in the entire zelda series.
What about master torch in botw?
Man bro, I thought it was link’s fists from a link to the past
In Hyrule Warriors, a great fairy can put Link in a bottle and go to battle herself. And she's a ridiculously powerfull character.
This puts Link himself as one of the best weapons to wield, through he doesn't look very pleased being trapped in a bottle hahaha
6:27 Chrono Trigger PTSD activated.
I'm in love with the fact you mentioned Robert's Rebellion from GoT 🖤🖤🤘
Zeltic, i love your videos and ive never seen anyone talk about it. Could you consider talking about the ruins at the base of Death Mountain? I feel like it could be the remains of old kakariko from oot. Im not talking about the training grounds but the hidden, destroyed village. You can find it near the tribly plains.
The one from BOTW?
Was wondering about it as well
Hylian ruins being there did suprise me
@@ilikestuff9250 Yes in botw, if you go to tribly plains, you can find an old village that looks alot like the set up from twilight princess.
I'm guessing it was originally an item used by the devs to make playtesting easier and just made it an easter egg
They simply are Bomb Flowers as the concept of an (artificial) bomb doesn't exist yet. (And given Bomb Flowers are rather easy to plant and maintain it is kinda odd that it exists at all.)
