This makes me feel sick to my bones, when is this going to stop? It's horrific torture for these horses. Thank you for continuing to film and campaign about it, I can't imagine the toll it takes on you all to witness this horror over and over.
I showed this to a non horsey friend who visited tonight who was totally unfamiliar with Big Lick. Her first response? "What's wrong with those horses?". So.
and the riders look creepy hunchback men they need to let them do a real horse show and throw this category out brings nothing but disgust and Shame to the walking horse breed

Having watched Shelby Dennis gentling her two mustangs in the most gentle way beforehand and now watching this? I got a heaviest whiplash of how badly people can treat innocent and clueless animals that didn't ask for any of this.
Just look at this!! In front of our eyes is unspeakable cruelty being played out to an audience in the USA. Shame on you who take part in it. It’s unbearable to watch. Why is the bill that had such a good result in your Parliament taking so long to benefit these poor horses? Look at that man yanking the cruel, severe bit on the first horse. How does nobody jump over the barrier and deal with these people. What’s the matter with those who can actually enjoy this wickedness. Blessings on all who are trying to bring this to an end. Anyone involved in this should have their actions posted on social media sites. No commentary, just show the pictures and videos. Most people have no idea this horror is happening.

The TWHA should be charged as accessory to criminal animal abuse for not only allowing this but for championing the use of these instruments of torture. These horses live in the chains & stacks; they don't come off at night and they aren't removed to give these horses a chance to recover. Soring is only part of the issue because without the big lick (ie chains & stacks), there would be no need for soring techniques. Unless politicians, business leaders, & the community stand up TOGETHER to "the Boyz", this abuse will never stop. As someone who is old enough to remember what the TWH looked like before the mass use of stacks, it makes me very sad that such noble & naturally-gaited horses are now a thing of the past.

It really does make me curious if the people in the audience actually *know* what's happening before their eyes. Do they realize the abuses these horses endure before and during these "performances"? I know I went through a period of ignorance where I had no idea until someone told me.

If it's shown right here on RUclips, isn't that enough proof for the authorities to act. It's not only these sick, subhuman riders that are evil, it's the people who enjoy watching, it's the families of trainers who let it happen, it's the authorities who don't act to STOP it.
I was against youtube even allowing these videos, but I think now, people need to see, if you can't see it, it becomes hidden & forgotten. And the suffering & evil continues.

This isn't "normal". This is only done in an area where it is accepted. The people that accept it are atrocious sadists who get off on causing extreme pain to animals. I think you'll find that these areas also have a high incidence of dog fighting and probably, also cock fights. Small minds enjoy this type of "entertainment" because, I believe that they aren't smart enough to come up with something better and more intellectually challenging

They are NOT cantering… the first ‘rider’ should be utterly ashamed of himself, his poor horse is bunny hopping in the back legs, the guys weight is too much for this poor animal to collect himself correctly, and he’s completely off balance! So many overweight riders straining these poor horses, as if they don’t have enough to contend with, having ridiculous stacks jammed onto their hooves…. How can this be seen as entertaining, even the ‘riders’ look miserable and like vultures with gawky necks, trying to steer and hang on for dear life…. They resemble morticians for goodness sakes!!…this needs to be banned… and the ‘riders’ need lessons in equitation!

Really? Guess my horse didn’t get the memo. He has his pads off for the winter and i trail rode him today. I’ve done this for years with my padded horses (and all my other show horses). I think you need to do your own research instead of drinking Clant’s kook aid

this trainer boys that is spoken of. I know the spelling is wrong here. you shouldn't even be called a trainer you should just be called horse abuser! I never seen someone Yank on the reins backwards and pull the horses face to the fence to get them to Canter. it is all wrong. so incorrect! I don't know how anyone can carry the title trainer when you're yanking on a horse's face and ripping the bit backwards and down the horses throat and hit riding off your hands in the Canter!? that poor horse! someone needs to take away his training credentials his license credentials whatever someone needs to just strip him of his license or training career. any type of running like that the ring announcer and the judge should call the person to the middle of the Ring to eliminate them for abuse to the horse at a public event! I cannot believe that the chains around the ankles are still allowed forget the damn high heels on the front feet! not only do they horse dress up your horse like some kind of freaky side show but but they can't even ride the right way
