Every time I see a big lick ‘canter’, I hold my breath. I’m just waiting for one of those poor angels to snap a leg
Not only is it torture but it looks totally ridiculous! The poor horses are just trying not to fall, or break a leg or lose a hoof!
That is hardly a lovlely natural gait. Those horses are attempting to jump out of the pain. Anyone that attempts to defend this as not horrific doesn’t understand physiology . Legs and hooves do not hyperextend.
That is so horrific! Tennessee Walking Horses have a natural high stepping gait. That should be good enough!

Grotesque spectacle. Everyone involved in this horror show should hang their heads in shame. Owners, breeders, vets, farriers, stable hands, riders and spectators. Only arrogant humans think they can improve on what nature has already perfected.

Totally disgusting and sickening. Why is this HEINOUS ATROCITY even allowed to continue??? Where are the rescue groups or the animal welfare groups...one can only ASSUME that they are being 'bribed' to look the other way as surely NO DECENT human being can look at this atrocity and NOT see the cruelty and brutality. The 'riders' are NOTHING but glorified animal abusers and torturers, the behind-the-scenes cruelty is horrendous and these horses suffer for the rest of their lives.

It is so abnormal the way the horses' front hoofs come down. So cruel! Such treatment needs to stop!!
Total train wreck. Canter is a 3 beat gait. At start of each scrambling stride the outside hind has to take the weight of the entire horse and rider as the diagonal pair of legs move forwards followed by the final footfall of inside foreleg to complete the canter stride sequence. How this horses ligaments and tendons are not ripped from the bone is beyond me. No wonder so many ex big lick horses are crippled with fetlocks touching the ground from torn suspensory ligaments. The whole sordid fiasco needs shutting down NOW.😠😠😠😠🙏🙏🙏🙏

Poor horses, i’ve protested at one but got kicked out, those people are horrible. I don’t get why this hasn’t been banned, this is cruelty and abuse, stacks and spring are unacceptable and is fucking stupid in general, the horrible creatures on the backs of those poor horses are utterly disgusting abusers, they ought to rot in hell, it’s so abnormal and cruel, saddle seat was the original safe, discipline big lick followed, i can’t believe people enjoy seeing horses abused, how cruel do you have to be?! These poor horses suffer for eternity, their beaten and attacked when they refuse to get up, their dying..It’s absolutely horrendous.

ew 🤮 this makes me sick. how the heck is this ok?!? this should be illegal. these riders are NOTHING but tortures and animal abusers who strap pads to their horses feet, wrap chemicals around their legs inflicting pain, and adding chains around the fetlocks to make the pain even worse. Where are the rescue groups in this moment? only a horrible, terrible human being will pay to go to these and see it perfecly fine, seeing this gait as merely entertainment. both the owners/riders of these horses and the attendees to the shows are horrible people. horses are a gift to us! all horses deserve loving humans, but not all humans deserve loving horses. these angels deserve much better in their life. #stopanimalcruelty
