“Slaves And Bulldozers” has some of Chris’ most incredible Soundgarden vocals. In terms of singing he went way wild.
"beyond the wheel" the live version if you want to hear a song only Chris can sing ..
I didn’t read all the comments, so I’m unsure if the following is common knowledge. There was about a year of anticipation for Audioslave. The rock station announced this song in advance, so it was like 11 am or something. I remember being at work with the radio on waiting for the release. It delivered in so many ways. Mind was blown. Every song on the album was a hit. Every single song.
That must've been epic listening to this song at work! Was this in 2002 or 2001? How did people know Audioslave was a thing?
yeah, i was a freshman in hs and saw this vid for the first time, and my jaw was on the floor the entire time! lol. i was the first of my friends to get the cd at the time cuz i just happened to catch this music vid the very first day it was released and literally went an got the cd the next day!
@@rosewishes2232 it was 2002. Soundgarden and rage against the machine were still popular and heard regularly on the radio. It had been a few years since we had heard anything from really anyone, layne staleys death was still pretty fresh. I you could only imagine the anticipation, but it was awesome. Memorable doesn’t quite explain it.
This one will always stick in my memory since it was the first music video i ever watched online. Couldn't tell you where online, but it was right when it came out. So a good 5 years pre-RUclips. Such a killer track.

I have a half sleeve tattoo, of a lone highway going thru the desert, with a sun on one side, and a moon on the other.. there is lightning on the moon side, and other things you would see in the desert... a scorpion, a human skull, a longhorn skull, and a cactus... the moon says "No Regrets", in the craters on the crescent moon.... On either side of the road, leading to mountains in the distance, it says in Celtic calligraphy "I Am The Highway".. I hope you react to my "Lifesong".. Thank you..❤❤

As far as my personal favorite Audioslave songs, I'd rank this one as second. My first favorite is "I Am the Highway" but the radio version. I just got done rewatching the video for "Spoonman" by Soundgarden. It's such a cool video and a great song! I hope you still get to check out "Thunder Kiss '65" by White Zombie. ;)

First single and also the opening track on their first album, eponymously called Audioslave. What a way to introduce a band to the world!
The whole album is massive! There's not one bad song on it.
They released 3 albums: Audioslave, Out of Exile and Revelations. For me, the first album is their best work. Out of Exile was ok, Revelations didn't do much for me.
As for their most famous song, Like a Stone would really be it.

Best audioslave song ? Whichever one is playing man. I love to hear Chester scream too..... but I think Chris could probably scream better than anyone. Not this one but a lot of times it's like he's singing and screaming at same time. Especially early....say hello to heaven, slaves and bulldozers, jc pose.
