    Upside to a TD05 versus TD04.
You can run TD05 at 10psi approx and make same power and more torque than TD04 at 15psi (stock WRX boost is 12-14.7psi depending on year/model)
Less boost pressure but more airflow and cooler air charge due to less compression of it.

The downside was I was running this on a 1.5L honda fit and the td05 didn't make boost till 4500rpm and the motor redlines at 6500rpm. The boost threshold was too high for my liking and I ended up going back to the td04. With running it on a 1.5L It's much more efficient than the wrx and had really low intake temps at 8 psi.

Sorry didnt realise it was on a Little 1.5L Honda makes sense then yeah TD04 would be the biggest i would run on a 1.5L anything even V8 if it existed.

You downgrading? Bigger turbo more revs to spool more boost and higher range of torque at the cost of mid range and pretty much no low end , if your td04 spools around 2200 ram you td05 will add another 1000 to 1500 rpm at least with no changes to the set up , plus if you have a bov and not a diverter valve lag between the gears is going to be painful , hope you changed the intake and remap for the richer afr , I'd definitely drop the bov go recirc valve and increase the size of the intake piping , more volume instead of trying to suck more air through the same narrow tube , good luck please give an update

The bigger turbo was definitely a mistake. Had it on there a week and then got another td04. It didn't make boost till 4500rpm. It made the car a turd haha

Do you think you could direct me in the right direction to getting my ecu tuned? Having a hard time and there isn't much support here in new Zealand for the gd3. Same engine etc.

Im using a hondata flashpro. It plugs into the odb2 port and flashs the stock ecu.

Where did you get your TD04 Turbo kit from?

I custom made it. If you check out some of my other videos I did a series on building it all.

So have you installed the td05 into the car? What are your impressions?

Its terrible.. Haha i made another video talking about it that I need to edit still. But it was horrible, the motor didnt push enough air for it to make boost till 4500 rpm. I've since got a new cartridge for the td04 and rebilt it. The td04 makes boost at 2500 rpm and its a lot more usable power. Not sure why i thought I needed a bigger turbo.

Your car is an 1.6 Civic with a D16Y engine? If it's so these results are predictable. The Td05-16G is good for a 2lt engine. So you start boost at 2500 rpm? That's excellent.

Its a honda fit with an l15a1
The td04 13t is about perfect for a motor this size.

Indeed, the L15A1 is an excellent engine but does not rev very high. Actually if you had to change for any reason the Td04L-13T I would suggest the even smaller Tf035HL-15T out of an Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross. But I would stick with the Td04L-13T myself.

Yeah, I looked at going a little smaller with the turbine. The new civics with the l15b7 use a td025. Im happy with the td04 though.
