Is there a way to get the "excess fill length" banisters to not be started on the host base. The railing I am doing has a bottom rail at 3" and then 1/2" pipe balusters go up from it an a support baluster that goes to floor is placed every 4 ft. So on railing runs that are less than 4' it is filling in with with the excess fill baluster, which is the same 1/2" pipe, but revit it placing them from the floor. I tried creating a 'fill' baluster that started 4' off the base level but revit just dropped them to the floor and they stopped 4" from the top rail, instead of starting them 4" from the bottom rail. i would really appreciate your help if you have any advice.
Great presentation. Thank you for the information. Just one question. When the check mark for "balusters per tread" is selected, can the the first baluster be constrained to align with the face of riser below?
By default, the balusters will be aligned to the risers. However, if you modify the boundaries of the railing path line, they might lose their alignment.
Thanks for taking the time to help all us users learn more about how to utilize Revit!!!!
Great great tutorial! I really enjoyed the way you explained all this stuff, I even watched this with 1.5 speed most of the time :)
Congratulations for your first vidéo. It was quite complete and interesting especially for the railings which is one of the toughest items in revit.
Thank you! Very easy to follow.
Great session Nick.
