- Big shoutout to Fitz for bringing his amazing 1JZ Toyota Soarer out! This car is amazing sitting at 28lbs of boost with it's be Precision 6266 Turbo! This car is absolutely beautiful staggered Work Meisters 19x10.5 and 19x9.5 up front. Sitting on HKS coilovers and HKS FMIC. This car is dressed up in the interior with Recaro Seats, Defi Fuel/Oil Pressure gauges and GReddy Boost controller. I can't believe how good this car sounds!!!

@@godzilla_ina_tux I CANNOT for the life of me find any other 1jz flutter sound like this Soarer does on youtube. Is this because its the 1jz with a 6266? ...or are there other components in play that affect the sound?
It's the T51R mod that gives it the flutter. The 6266 really pairs well with it it
Ive always been a 2jz guy, but for my usdm soarer, i think im going to swap in a 1jz now, it aint even about the power since im looking at 600hp tops. I want that sound!

Yeah it was a little laggy but I also was just leaning into the throttle and not hitting it right away. Just because it wasn't my car and I didn't want to beat the crap out of it lol. It spooled up a bit quicker when he was driving it.

No, the sound you hear is technically compressor surge which can be bad for most turbos, however, Precision turbos are engineered to work perfectly with out BOVs.

Where do you order your parts, cause I just shipped my 1997 soarer to the states from Japan. Right now it's all stock but I wanna start looking into performance and durability upgrades before it gets here. When I was stationed in Japan I loved how smooth it drove but I definitely wanna add to it once it gets here

It actually doesn't have a BOV on it at all. What you hear is what people call compress surge but that turbo is built for that
I had one of these back in the day the 1jz sounds better than the 2 with free flowed pipes..he needs bigger injectors btw

With the JDM spec car, are the window moldings just standard black rubber? They're not black painted or coated metal moldings are they? I noticed all the US spec cars only came with the chrome, I've been trying to hunt down a set of JDM spec moldings for my car.

what makes the sound in between gearchange? sounds like turbo flutter? or is it a combo of the wastegate/dump valve/turbo flutter?
It has no blow off valve, thays just air being chopped up by the turbos compressor wheel. Sounds so awesome lol

The turbo whistle you hear is called a T51R mod and your car could sound like this. It needs to be a decent sized turbo though

Awesome! Unfortunately I don't know where to go for interior and skins. Definitely start a channel it'll be great just to relive it. You can use a phone just get a lapel mic, audio is the most important and look at the camera, don't look at the screen as you talk to the camera. If you have any more questions feel free to ask me

Not sure if anyone can answer this but is there a model from the Z20 toyota soarer (1986-1990 i believe) that has a 1jz engine or same platform as this gen toyota soarer?
No from what I've seen, it's only a twin turbo 1G motor or the 7m. The 1JZ didn't come out until the next gen

Why do people put these 350z sounding exhaust on the JZ engines?? They sound so good with a proper exhaust
It is basically straight piped, just has a regular hks muffler. Some 1jz sound like that. Maybe it's the turbo manifold

It's a T51R mid on the turbo housing that gives it that whistle
It sounds exactly like a boosted VQ, like the exact same.
