What insane skill it takes to cook the eggs so perfectly.
i try make eggs and fail,it's so hard haha
I tried gone wrong HHAHA
I tried and... swoosh, it flews away haha
nah...just needs large amount of eggs and non stick pan
Just takes a little practice. It probably took me 15-20 attempts before I could make the omelette perfect every time. Having videos like this to help is priceless. The right pan is key!
When I saw the thumbnail I thought the egg was a mango 😂😂😅😅
Lmao same here!!
Ys u r ryt

oh that would be delicious
I thought it was a thing tho 🤣
This came from Japan I think, it's called "Omurice" or オムライス.
The video is good tho! Very delicious!
The restaurant's name is japanese. The channel owner is just messing with people now
yeah cuz i used to eat this food when I visit my friend in Japan
@@phuchoang2023 do you think they don't have Japanese restaurant in Korea?
It is a Japanese restaurant (I clicked on the link in the description) in Korea. They sell omurice, katsu, karaage, donburi, etc as teishokus, completely Japanese lol
They even have Dragon Ball figurines
@@jayoryana9239 “korean street food”
I tried making it just now and it's important to catch a good timing(so the inner part would be semi-liquid), and definitely use a flat, non-sticking frying pan! It's amazing that he made the outer side so smooth, and the shape is just perfect!!
That call skills😎
Yea it's all about timing to make this perfect
wow
also helps to add a pinch of salt (before frying the eggs). I don't know why but it does.
@@VossWaterKim the EXTREMELY high heat makes it much easier to do this as well. tough to pull off in a household kitchen.
I ate this in Japan years ago and thought I had died and gone to food heaven. It is as good as it looks.
Any idea what the red sauce is on top?
@@enwezornzegwu2494 It's a tomato-based sauce, but you'll also find it with Japanese curry!
@@postive-vibes I can already taste that w/ curry sauce just by imagining it

Title: Boiled egg *korean* street food
The video: Japanese restaurant cooking omurice
edit: they changed the name to "eGG oMeLettE"
If I'm not mistaken, this recipe was originated in persia or france? during rome era
@@aranetakennethj.5440 Yeah, i think i saw a video that said it was from france
Omurice is so known thanks to anime a found every anime watchers would crave everytime it shows. Well there is curry

@@Reixuria oh really? Hmmm... well i also read manga so.... and most of them are about food so... yeah i get it from there
I just learned how to make a torando omelette and now you want me to make an omellete where the filling is runny egg...
Yeah maybe in 25 years I'll master it
Or u still wont
✨torando✨
@@lykalualhati2481 a new word has been invented
For me I have had a much harder time making the tornado omeltte haha. Ive only tried a few times though. If i can learn to make an omelette you can too keep trying!
yummy
The cutting the egg never fails to satisfy me
If i go to a restaurant i wanna open the egg myself, that'll be so satisfying

I am impressed!
It's all I can say because words leave me watching this beauty
The passion for cooking of this man is amazing.
This is not a Korean Street food. It is omurice that originates from Japan and to the people saying it is Korean because it was made in Korea that's the equivalent of saying "This hot pot is now an American dish because it was made in america" (note: I did some research before typing this comment)
(Awsome hate! Xd)
he didnt do the boing boing with the egg
@@WholesomeWatermelon you made me crack like those eggs
He never said omelette is a korean street food, "-" is definitely a separator between first sentence and second sentence on the title
@@GG-ms4qp "Korean Street Food" is in the title of the video.
I never said "Omelette is not a Korean Street food" especially since that is not an Omelette but omurice
Why does it even matter? It’s just a food vid....
That is exactly an omurice!
it's a japanese(-style) restaurant (in sk, of course). the store sign was in hiragana (ふらっと). the other menu items seem to be staples like tonkatsu, karaage, donburi, etc.
What does "omu" mean? Does it mean meat?
@@minilamma4879 it's japanese-accented english, short for omelette.
@@minilamma4879 meat in Japanese is niku
well here en Latino America have a food called caldo de res and all the countries has his own way to cook this recipe.
The way this person is tossing the food in pan, not even a single piece on stove hats off. Me trying to do same not even a single piece in pan.
Cooking food is art 🖼
... you... You didn't see the rice bits by the burner?
This is a Japanese recipe!!!
OMURAISU !!!!
i've never seen such a smooth and soft texture on an omelette
it's like a balloon
@@davabran true
same fkdbejsbhsjsks
It's basically a French omelette with a few extra steps. You basically stir the egg mixture while it's cooking to make sure that one part isn't too cooked (thus hard); when the mixture becomes thick enough and you cant stir it anymore, you tilt the pan around to cover any holes and let it sit for a but for the bottom to cook then roll it up. In this base they folded it in half then flipped it over to seal the seam after flipping.
@@snowdust1105 cutting it open and letting the soft part out is the most satisfying thing tho 😭
Definitely traditional Japanese omurice,
They serve it with hot sauce for finishing.
Correction... Demiglaze
@@sebastianchhangte7277 correction... Demi glace
@Just a guy who's a hero for fun I think they meant that the sauce they put on it is hot, not that it’s hot sauce. English doesn’t seem to be their first language, but I could be incorrect
수많은 영상 중 가장 정석인 것 같습니다.^^ 브라보. 불조절부터 테두리 열처리, 젓가락 이용 및 뒤집을 때도 가장 안전한 방법까지 너무 안정적이시네요.
Fact
Omulet : From France
Soft-boiled Omurice's Origin: Japan
Site of that restaurant: Korea
Sign: In Japanese (Hiragana)
Sounds like a lot of cultural appropriation.
@@ronaldmcdowells1107 oh god are we calling these food cultural appropriation now? Are you dumb?
Cultural Appropriation is when a dominant culture takes from a minority or less dominant culture and uses it without respecting the said minority. Or at least that's when Appropriation actually becomes relevant.
Last I checked Europeans aren't a minor culture, their culture has already spread and become evident in several places of the world, either naturally (trading) or forcibly (colonization). Western society in general is based on a massive trading culture where adoption of culture was encouraged. There is no way to appropriate European culture unless you're a minority within Europe itself. Why do you think no one bats an eye when kids dress up as Kings and Queens of European descent in Halloween? Or the fact that the history of the French revolution is popularly used in pop culture?
And Japan itself is a very dominant culture in Asia. Japan even once colonized Korea and attempted to erase the entirety of their culture and race.
So don't be fucking surprised if people all over the world know what an omelette is and have their own recipe for it. (My own country has our own version of omelettes). And don't be fucking surprised if there's Japanese restaurants in Asian countries. It was these countries that settled into other lands first and mingled their culture with others, willingly or not. Why do you think Japan, Korea, China, and neighboring Asian countries share many similarities?
@@saynomore6958 I was being sarcastic just a joke. Obviously it flew way to high over your head. I know the definition professor.
@@ronaldmcdowells1107 oh yeah sure, as if you weren't aware that culture appropriation is ironically inappropriately used by children in the internet to pass off as a trendy term for "jokes" when it's a much serious matter. It's horrible when colonizers talk about culture appropriation when they started it in the first place.
Woooosh
If I cook the fried rice and toss it like that I'll probably need to serve the stove on my plate because the rice are all over the stove instead of staying in the wok 😂
the chef is extremely skilled!! the egg looks so perfect :D
This is art, pure art!
This looks so delicious! Amazing presentation!
With that much oil, my mom would look at it with disgust and say, "That's too much".
Edit: I'm gonna try making this.
I know a Gordon Ramsey ref for it but I can't remember rn
My parents would encourage me to cook that but my grandparents would say ima burn our house down 😂😂😂🥺
I would love to have a mom like yours. My mom serves our meals with a pool of oil
@@anujaaaaaaaaaa “Add a dash of olovole” ?
@@stellaaa595 yeah kinda like that
This chef has some serious skill with that wok. Consistently making sure nothing is unevenly browned with the fried rice and notice how the omelette doesn't have the unstirred burnt/crispy egg on the upper rim of the frying pan.👨🍳
edit- oh, excuse my mislabeling of the egg being cooked on a wok that clearly is a frying pan...but with that skill I'm sure he could do it with a wok. he probably didn't want the fried rice and eggs cooked in the same pan? 🤷🏻♂️
