I FINALLY was able to finish watching (been a long, busy week)…this is such an incredible watch. I always learn so much from you and this is no different. I picked up a few new amazing one-liners this playthrough. Two of my favorites: “we cultivatored” and “we can serpentstewify”. 😂 Seriously though, even small moments where you just throw out WHY you did something, for instance, why you’re looking for a leviathon, (“harpoon helps out in the queen fight”) are golden for me-you’re always teaching, whether you’re saying something or not-so many of those things have improved my game. Thank you! A few times, you say something like, “I’ve been doing nothing for 18 minutes”, and I beg to differ. I get what you’re saying, but the amount of theorycrafting going on, especially AS you’re racing against the clock, is massive and the fact that you can keep it all straight (SANS LISTS!!!) is mind blowing. That stuttering sucked! Not gonna lie, I half expected a jaunt into the plains for a therapeutic village destruction, but honestly you were FAR less tilted than most people would be or that you led us to believe. Therefore, I will stay subbed! (I’m even double subbed, so there!) 😏 Thank you for including the post-run analysis. I love this part - and it’s equally enlightening and entertaining. I’m looking forward to how you apply all this knowledge and improve your time. Can’t wait!! And congratulations on the WR!

As always, epic narration and overall game play, your videos always feel so natural like you’re interacting with an audience that this right there with you, and I really love that. i was asking myself *the whole time* what you wanted to use those 2 iron for.^^ but to be honest, in my blind attempt i emptied a whole swamp and black forest just in case before heading for the ashlands, because i didn't knew anything about those new stone gates. going blind into pre-patch ashlands with a ship full of precious metal is about as nerve-wracking as it can get...
2:13:17 I'd been sad for the past few minutes (since you didn't pick it up when leaving the dungeon), but hopeful that you would notice sooner than later. Every step was another step you'd have to go back and you sure are fast!! Let's see what you do...
At 5:54:45, did a falling burning tree hit you for 64 HP and stagger you AND burn you, and then hit you again for another 21 HP while rolling, and another rolling tree for 17 HP whilst restaggering at each hit before any mob could hit you?? Do different biome trees hit differently???
@@ThreadMenace I did 0.5x speed and that's what I could see. Warrior attack animation is not happening till the end, and doggo couldn't attack once trees were in between. And there was nothing to burn you besides burning tree hitting you. Didn't even know trees could bonk and burn you. Also does that mean, since you have 50+ armor, that initial tree hit was 110+ ? That's a lot of damage. (maybe the speed of rolling counts too but damn).
Nice Speedrun! I’ve been watching already some of your run. I’m still watching this one and maybe I missed it, but why do kill Bonemass this late in the game and not in the attended order as third boss? I’m wondering if I should skip him as well on my normal world 🤔
Thanks! 1. We skip silver so his drop is of no use to us 2. We don't swap for his power until waaaaay later 3. Later in the game we have better weapons/armor and the fight is a cakewalk 4. Killing him opens up a raid that can strike anywhere, whereas most raids only strike when you're at home, which we never are. Raids stay easy if he hasn't been killed
Do you think it would be worth the time to consolidate all your forge mats at the home stead after stone portals? Only have to goto swamp if you need more iron.
I was playing yesterday in a run I ended up scrapping and I put two stam potions up there and I accidentally drank them both at times where they did nothing! #neveragain 😋
I don't think I'll ever be doing that but maybe someday I'll pick back up my Hardcore preset run. No portals is tough enough, no map is tough enough, I'm not looking to combine the two 🤣
@@ThreadMenace i hear that man. i'm thinking about doing normal difficulty, no map, with portals and no building cost, so i can freely make roads and concentrate on my location.
@@ThreadMenace My mates and I were able to dig under, didn't have any we couldnt get under but some fortes were a bit picky and where you could get through tho. Still faster than going through that wall ;)
The strategy in the fight is to manipulate her into "flee mode," after which it is necessary to re-aggro her. The harpoon makes lots of noise wherever it lands so you can re-aggro from far away
I believe Thread calls that a "block-enabled combo." I just googled that - and yep! there are some forum discussions about it and a good demo video by Sitting Forgetting.

Hey Thread! I was able to dig under wall of Ashland castle towers. Doesn’t it work for you?
Not as of the last couple patches but maybe I'll try again to practice to confirm. Pretty sure they lowered the walls underground
