Well played. Love the Ashsvin set with my beloved Brutal Slayer . Manged to solo Lord Reto on my first try with that setup. Sword vs Sword. Had to use Bonemass, but it was an *EPIC* fight
That helldivers music when you dropped in was awesome lol

Yeah, normal difficulty is definitely where the brutal slayer has best use on a warrior build, you can actually afford to engage with less than full health and just trade blows. I stand by my assessment that it's only good for blood magic users on harder difficulties, although with the addition of a shield bubble it might still have a place.
You've got to be able to actually take a few hits and survive with little health in order for the blood weapons to be of any use for sure
@@WafflesGamesProbably still hoping they're gonna tweak the bonus percentage on the blood weapons or at least add a rider effect like the other two have.

I've personally found fire resistance only sparingly necessary in the Ashlands but when it is needed it's VERY needed!

the "Blood" type melee weapons are also very effective against Fader since he does a lot of damage that lingers (fire damage), means more attack bonus for you
lightning is still better cause you don't want to take too much damage to the fire attacks as the damage stacks
@@reticentdeity2149 yagluth+barley wine (fire resist potion) does help a lot in tanking the fire damage from Fader. I've already defeated Fader 7 times ever since the Ashlands Update came out. The only thing that makes it hard for me everytime is that he tends to spam that damn AOE ground fire+spike attack thing which makes it really hard to approach him.

Well I hope the devs also provide elemental two handed hammers too. They are slow but the hit box is much better always on point when getting mobbed.
A lightning sledge would be so cool!

i wish they change the asksvin armor to have the stamina discounts on each piece and only the pierce bonus being a set bonus. Its anti mixing and matching the way it is rn. what if i want asksvin pants so i can swing my big sword more you know ?
Yeah that's a good point! Certain pieces give certain bonuses, then an additional bonus for the whole set. That would be nice! Encourages mixing but also a full set.
But I think that was deliberate. Thy bonuses are wild.
@@themorganrobertson stamina discounts on light armor aren't too crazy and they require a full set for the the effect. Divide the values by 3 and let us mix and match with the armor. Fenris armor speed boost is +9% with the full set but lets you get a +3% with 1 armor piece it's much more friendly to mixing and matching.
@@redcastlefan The stamina discounts are amazing; and giving them to a piece only, while allowing others to get the bonuses of other pieces or higher armor seems exactly WHY its all a 3 piece bonus.

So hard to decide! They're all solid choices but I found myself using the lightning one the most. But id probably make the Brutal Slayer above the rest.
personally not a fan of the 2 handed swords. They swing too slow so the extra bit of damage they deal is negligible when you conider the overall dps. I think they should deal more damage to be considered useful.
I thought the same at first. They take a bit of getting used to but they can be pretty brutal in the right hands.
