- Hummus msabha is an ancient meal of creamy chickpeas.
And ancient is no exaggeration.
It’s a typical Lebanese breakast food, and it’s so tasty. You’d think it tastes similar to hummus, but it’s actually different.
Try it. You’ll love it.

Here's the musabaha recipe link → plantbasedfolk.com/musabaha/ Enjoy!!
This is directly to people saying "this is just hummus" - I love hummus and never make it at home because I don't have a food processor. I thought i *couldn't* make it without a food processor. This little video is such a revelation to me!!!
A recommendation if I may, use this hummus recipe to make the dip without a food processor (the ancient way) I do mention quickly how to do this in the article. plantbasedfolk.com/lebanese-hummus/#faq Happy eating!
Lovely and healthy, thankyou and regards from Ireland 🇮🇪 💚
Pleasure! ✌🏼 🇦🇺 🇱🇧

Difficult to get tahini where I live, what can I replace with? Thanks
Just get some sesame seeds and toast them a little bit in the skillet then put it in the blender and blend it and while you doing that at some oil until you get the consistency that you like and also you can look it up under tahini recipe that way you can make it home at any time you like, and it will be better than the market
Good question! I've always made it with tahini, so here are some suggestions albeit I've not tried them myself;
- try pureeing about 1-4 - 1/3 of the chickpeas so that it is more like a hummus dip and then mash the chickpeas into it. Adjust all the of the flavors to suit, this way you should get the creaminess
- try adding sesame oil
- try adding cashew butter
- or buy tahini online here amzn.to/3Kr2Yu6
musabaha is actually the chickpeas roughly mixed in sith fully made hummos . a squeeze of lemon juice and a sprinkle of cumin powder mix it all in drench it with extra virgin olive oil and garnish with whatever you want. I am lebanese and thats how I do it

I did put the link in the description box, but here it is again plantbasedfolk.com/musabaha/ Sahtein! :)
This is literally just chunky hummus, I use the same ingredients when I make that just skipping the cooking step 😆
The Arabic word hummus is chickpeas, we have many ways to eat it… 😀
@@PlantBasedFolk Understood, just thought I was gonna get a more unique recipe, that's all.
@@Unknown2Yoo ah. I’ll post up another way we eat hummus. It’s a tad different that one. 🤤
@@PlantBasedFolkthe musabaha I know is the chickpeas roughly mashed and mixed in with already made creamy hummos. some cumin powder and lemon juice and garlic it you like but I avoid drenched with olive oil at the end. Try it like this and see the difference
Yep that is delish
Chunky hummus, anyone?
Atleast it wasn't only me.
yes because musabaha is the mix of ready made hummos and boiled chickpeas not just tahini. some cumin powder extra lemon juice. the chunky chickpeas roughly mixed with already made creamy hummos is very nice and better than hummos alone
Looks like skata eh
όχι καθόλου ρε
Even at 2 times the speed, it was painful to watch. So, you're basically making hummus without the food processor.
In the Middle East there are so many ways to eat hummus, and this is one of them. Thanks for your insightful comment.
This is not hummus and food processor got nothing to do with it there is so many recipes you could do with chickpeas with food processor or without
