Spot on mate!!! Been searching for ages for routes to take and this is by far hit the nail on the head and helped me no end!! Cheers
just installed my boost gauges thanks to this great video!
Well illustrated mate, thank you
Short and fast but good enough. Very clear
Thanks for this, fitted my gauge without issue following your video. Gotta say, not the easiest car to do it on due to the filter, strut and bulkhead access being behind the glovebox.
Just followed your guide this morning, all fitted easily except for getting access to the side torx bolt nearest the A pillar, had to use a ratchet instead of screwdriver handle to remove it, event the short handle I had wouldnt fit with the door still attached.
i could be wrong but if you google audi tt 8n secrent menu (on the AC unit) you can check your oil pressure and many other things
Not sure if I missed a video .do you show where to t into for the boost take off and have you got a make of gauge you use and an after pick of it installed
Great Video, What diameter flexible conduit is being used ? if I estimate, it will always be wrong...
Hello BWS TT great video.
I have now installed a turbo pressure gauge, but it only shows that I have about 0 to 0.7 bar vacuum.
Any idea what is causing this?
Thanks Patrick
Hi Bryn, did u remove the wiper arms to lift the scuttle panel up that much
Hi pal I just installed mine what boost psi should I be getting its the 225 with stage 1 remap am holding 25psi dont no it thats to high cheers 👍
your car is rhd
would it be the same on lhd cars?
What's the expected peak boost from a remapped car compared to standard? I've seen different opinions. I've seen 15psi standard and 18psi remapped is that about right?
Slightly different on an s3 8l, mostly near the vents as it's abit more cramped and no opening for the tubing to go etc. Requires a hole making into the duct.
Yo, your the go to guy for TT's... I tapped into the FPR and I've had ppl tell me it's wrong, talking about my car gonna run lean, is there any truth to that.
if you use sub standard parts, and it fails, then yes there could be a problem, but that's the case wherever in the system you put it.
My boost gauge suddenly stop working it on 1.0 all the time .any help.thanks in advance
What size vac line and T piece is needed for this?
3mm is a nice snug fit
is it the same principle for a a3 1.8t
Karl Finn yeah
How did you retrieve the grommet I lost mine down the back? Brilliant video. Thanks
The cabin filter housing is held in with a few 10mm fixings. Remove the whole thing if you need to find the grommet
Doesn't it just give FUEL PRESSURE ? How does that measure boost?
It's a direct air feed from the intake manifold, that the FPR uses to regulate fuel pressure. It's at the same pressure as the manifold, which is what we want to measure
Ok, so just received my boost gauge and out of the box the needle is well above zero.. I'm guessing it should be exactly on zero when not fitted. Can anyone help me on this? Cheers!
Had this with both my stack and racetech......not to worry when installed vac will read true zero. If you have a decent guage.
@@davidkane9876 it was £21 so didn't have my hopes up! Have sent back and ordered
A more expensive one... Cheers for replying 🤟
Sure glad to see you wearing rubber gloves ....you could have gotten dust on your finger tips.
If this wasnt a public platform I'd be allowed to insert a comical reply, but since my kids like watching, I'll keep it to myself 🤐
I don't have to guess which one of those glove covered fingers are for me 😎 ...Thanks for the write-up I now know where to hook up my boost gauge.
@@007heatingandair haha, yeah either to the fpr, or to the DV hose (before it goes to the N249)
why not T off the vac line to the actuator to the n75 valve? much shorter
The n75 line never sees vacuum, only boost
@@BWSTT many thanks, is that not the same with the fuel reg?
