Found a hole in the top of the transmission casing sprocket inside has worn through. my mission if I choose to accept it will be replacing a rebuilding the transmission and rebuilding the engine.
Great video! A few questions -- 1) does any air flow around the gauges or did you lose all the airflow to the two center vents? 2) what does the engine-side of the boost gauge wire connect to? I have a stock 2001 and was curious if it would connect or if you needed to mod your engine to drive the gauge? Thanks!
I still get airflow if you look closely the "plate" i used has little cut outs around where the boost gauge sits. Ohhhh yeaaaa i didnt show that smh 🤦🏽♂️ so there is a vacuum hose that i ran thru the forewall and i used a T connector to where the fuel pressure regulator is (small little hose) and it goes back thru a check valve and from there its connected to the boost reader module then the boost gauge
Im pretty much stock too its just a pretty engine lol so i doubt you'll have any problems other than running out of daylight trying to get everything sorted out
Its the 52mm digital boost gauge and oil pressure that i got, for the boost i tapped into the vacum hose that goes to to fuel pressure regulator. For the oil pressure theres a screw on the engine by the oil filter that i removed and added the sensor
